The first couple chapters were actually fun and well made. However everything from the fighting tournament onwards was just way too rushed and irrational. Like nothing really made any sense nor was it gripping. Choices were very irrelevant in most cases and there were just far too many plot twists and even more "waking up in a world that wasn't the real world" moments which is clichèd enough as is. It needed to establish more background info and progression needed to be slowed a whole lot more

A nice little game. It's definitely intended for the younger crowd, with a teen MC and very simplistic and plain writing style. The pace is very rushed and there's little to no exposition for anything, not many of your choices matter - But it isn't bad! It's lighthearted and quick like a Saturday morning cartoon. If you enjoy games with more substance and characterization, save your money. But if you want something easy to digest that you can breeze through, give it a try.

I actually purchased this book. The plot is really good. All the characters are connected together in unexpected ways and there is more to the story than meets the eye. At first glance seems like just another super hero story but boy does the plot thicken. My only complaint is the story took too long to get to the point and some of the parts which were dreamlike were very confusing and disorienting. Also I felt there were too many subplots. (Like Ryu and Akira)

I'd admit the title and premise didn't appeal to me at first since it sounded a little pretentious, but as I delve deeper into the story, it gets way better pretty fast! I'll also admit the beginning probably needs a little editing so it feels more interesting since it's quite blatantly generic for an introduction. The main cast are pretty good, each one of them are unique in their own way and actually has a story of their own to tell if you get close enough to them. Make a sequel! And well done.

It wasnt that great. Started of kinda strong then just gave up after the purchase. Honestly, the free chapters were a lot better than the rest of the game, I couldnt even comepletely finish the book because it got so dull and lost its spunk. It felt rushed, like they were just trying to put something out there. But its not horrible, so ill give it that. 3/10

Started off a bit simplistic at the start, but definitely got better as things went on; some of the later parts did throw me for a loop. And yet, even in the darkest hours, the game never lost its heart in the darkness. If you've ever wondered what a Power Rangers CYOA would be like( with the quality more like In Space, rather than Megaforce), then you would be hard-pressed to find anything else that comes close.

Fun, and light hearted. Totem Force took me by surprise by how much i liked it. However a few issues glare from it. Character introductions seem rushed to the point i feel like i barely know them. Also i feel as if this whole thing could use a bit more description. What people and monsters and objects look like. Choices feel a little underwhelming

Hm, it's okay. The story, the character, the choices etc are all just okay. Nothing really special, neither is it bad to play. Although while playing I didn't feel any excitement or wonder or any particular feeling I expected, I was just playing through to finish it... Just one time when the father in the game got killed, got me really mad. Other than that it was a bit boring honestly. Idk why. Although I have to say I liked Chi and Phill. Chi he's so adorableeee

Henshin! I love it so much. It's so cool and fun to be your own superhero. You get to pick your outfit, superhero name, transformation phrase, and team name. And the story isn't difficult to follow without going into deep detail. I felt the story was well written and a fun ride. I mean, we get to fight a giant robot as a superhero. How cool is that?! There are times when I wonder if the story was inspired by Big Hero 6. 10/10 would love to see this story turn into an rpg.

Fast pace in the first few chapters. Neatly wraps itself in the end. Holds your hand for almost the entirety of the walk-through. Low to medium risk of consequences in the choices. Again, holds your hands almost all throughout the walk-through. Would recommend this to 12+ kids to 15+ teens but for 18+ young adults.... No.

This is overall fairly enjoyable. I'd say the biggest problem I had with it are some misgivings about pacing and storytelling decisions at a couple spots (which I won't name because of spoilers), but it never got to the point where it outright ruined the experience.

Really fun game. Only downside is complexity introducing new characters too fast so it's hard to keep up! Edit: star loss because in a 2nd play through a romantic mishap suddenly disappears with no appropriate dialogue options when you next see the character

it was. unexpectedly amazing. you have to make more teen stuff cause it resonates with some of us more. and being able to really personalize your mc with the weapon and armor and companion is really good. you gotta keep that much customization in your next games

Long detailed plot kept me drawn to my phone until I finished playing. This is one of the best CYOAs I've played in terms of character descriptions and impactful choices. Will definitely be replaying a few more times to discover all endings

I enjoyed the story and the characters. There are lots of superhero based CoG/HG works and I love them all, but it's awesome to finally play one that gives you superpowers, simply let's you fight crime, and feel like a hero without the too serious plot. NOT saying this book doesn't have a good and interesting plot, it has that, but it doesn't force you to over-complicated restrictions with your powers (unlike most books) and actually let's you enjoy being a superhero. Wishing for a part 2!

The game is pretty okay. I sighed whenever the school names would be revealed because it's just the Japanese word for it (like Gakuen=Academy, Daigaku=University). I think teens and pre-teens would enjoy this. It's funny, fast-paced, has a lot of options to customize your character and the flow of the story. Overall this is an okay game!

The story is absolutely wild! Definitely a read for people who love stories with magic (yes i include heroes and stuff there too.) The story is not as mature as other cogs but it did not hinder the enjoyability one bit.

The longest Hosted Games Interactive story I've played but it stays entertaining, has multiple endings, and most of all every choice you make matters. (plus who you date matters because they are in the epilogue! I love when the author does that.)

Not bad. Decent story and a lot of girls to romance. Thry story was somewhat confusing at parts, but it was nice. Though the events were finished somehow too fast for me.

a little spoiler warning: a good novel, it takes me back to dino thunder times, which is the first power rangers show that I watched, hopefully this has a sequel and I'm kind of disappointed that our team don't have anykind of zords. but a good game overall.

I love the game, I got the ending I'm most happy with, I'm just can't wait to see more games like this in the future, the authors & team behind this I thank you. Also can their be more hero games or more games with u getting powers that can help u like something like in terms of a MY Hero Academia thing for everyone where u can get powers by meeting ur hero some point early in ur life & u was a fanboy who knew bout all the heroes & their quirks, plus u train under ur hero for a lil.

Great overall. Plenty of plot twist, choices and story will drag you in from start to finish. Even the character develepment is well done. 10/10 for me.

Okay so, this isn't necessarily a review, per se, more like a suggestion for the next Hosted game. I'd like a sci-fi mecha game, specifically one that takes great influence from things such as Voltron (specifically Voltron:Legendary Defender, maybe the 80s version as well if you're so inclined), Neon Genesis Evangelion, and the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. Ya know, make a game with sentient telepathic robot mechas (animal-like looks or more humanoid looks, your choice). Also, MAKE A SEQUEL!!!!

nice!!! i adore almost everything about this book lol. i love all the characters, the plot is really nice, just overall really good book. i hope we get something more like this in the future!

Meh, its better than some, but the story is still a bit... childish? its kinda too comical, even if its meant to be light hearted. the dialogues and choices are pretty boring too

Was great. Not a single complaint, which for me is unusual. Really great job author, this was probably the best game like this I've played hope there's going to be more... Mabye? >;D

Dan. D. Nov 12, 2020

It's an OK story is most I can say doesn't really make a lot of sense and is quite far fetched ie suggesting humans can create angels that's rather insulting to those with religious beliefs if more explanation was put into the story to get a better background then it would be easier to understand and follow

Xma. G. Jun 6, 2020

The game is fun, but you dont have really much choice on what to do. More often than not the options you have are different variations of each other.
