This app is highly useful and defenenitly a blessing for expatriates. But unfortunately the the way the app is built is weiered! When I am making calls to India, I have to atleast make 4 tries to get the call properly connected. At the first attempt the video is not showing, second attempt the video is showing but the audio is through earpiece, next time there is no audio at all. Finally it is the 4the attempt that may work.! It has to be improved in lot of areas intact.
In the start it was really good but it's showing some bugs like when I get a call there is no ringtone just vibration that too some times even though ringtone volume of my phone is full. Sometimes I have the phone on my hand and I don't know about the missed call. When I open the app that's when I get the notification about the missed call. All the notification and ringtone settings are on but still no sound. Please do check and correct this issue.....
Video, Audio quality over wifi is great. It's a great app to connect with family and friends without VPN. Missed call alerts, messaging is also on par with other apps. At times, incoming voice is faint on video call, i just change call to voice call mode , turn on speaker option and again change back to video mode and this increase the volume of call. This is something that needs to looked into. Otherwise i love this app. Thanks team.
Call ringing issue: everything is excellent except when an incoming call comes, it is very difficult to recognise the call, ring is very faint and in some phones we don't notice the incoming call as it happens behind any open apps. Most of the times the receiving party miss the calls. Surprising how such a good app, they have not noticed this issue nor tried to fix this issue even after becoming so popular. Don't tell me it is phones mistake, I noticed this in all the phones.
Works well, video and audio quality is good. I recently discovered that with Android 10, the video call's audio doesn't route to the loudspeaker, instead the audio is routed to the earpiece. It happens sometimes with Android 9 as well but with my Android 10 device the audio never routes at all. I hope the dev team can look into it.
It's an awesome app which allows us to chat, call ( both audio & video) and text each other from any corner of the globe. NB: It would be better if you could show the time of text or voice messages which we send each other with friends. And also try to improve the video call quality that will make your app better and unique.
App is great! However I noticed that if you have Bluetooth on you lose the ability to switch on the loud speaker on a video and audio call. This is when I've been testing on Samsung galaxy S10+ something for the developers to look at and make it available even if a Bluetooth watch or something is connected. Thanks!
I'm really happy with this app. I have met some problems while using whatssapp. My best friends are lives in different countries sometimes other apps didn't help us to communicate fast and clear. When totok came up it's really nice and lite to use. I have found some few matters when I send message it always keep delay few seconds. This issue came up on my iPhone and Android. Hope you guys fix it soon.. 🍻
This app is great! You can feel the difference and how they put effort into it with some new features. All is great about it but you guys need now to improve the quality , i mean voice note quality and call stability needs a slight improvement. Also while typing in Arabic the cursor goes back as if i am typing English, if you need more feedback i would like to contact you about these small issues to be fixed.
Absolutely useless and pathetic experience. It never connect completely in atleast first 3 attempts. Either video or voice or both will not be working for one of the person. NEVER means Actually NEVER. It's on all type of wifi, data, within and outside country. Also now last 1-2 days, since new update has arrived, voice distortion like old analogue phone is also happening.
Very useful application. Need improvements. Takes time to ring on the other side. Also if another calls comes it doesn't hold automatically. Since it's an great relief in UAE let it slide. But try to improve. Also the voice keep repeating itself. It's a great relief in UAE . Thanks for this application totok team.
The app works fine however, the screen does not turn on upon receiving calls, I wanted to install and reinstall but I read about other users who weren't able to access the app again. Also some bugs in messages shown, I have been video calling someone and when I switched to voice call, it showed to the other person that "Busy in another call" where actually no calls where received.
Its horrible that your contacts are not being added by default and you have to visit variety options and do certain procedures before you got connected!!! I suffered a lot to guide people with no basic IT background... development team should always simplify and remember to release a product that can be used by all people from different education backgrounds.. age and skills.
Superp experience. But one thing need to be fixed. The other party's local time still shows my time which is not correct! I just hope calls quality and speed does not slow down by 2020 due to the increase in users. Overall, I love it from the very first use. Nice one team To Tok!
Thanks for creating this app. Before then, it was a great app for both voice and video calls, it was extremely clear but nowadays its almost the worser's app to make calls... sometimes you cannot even hear one single word from your opponent...so please earlier the best to fix the problem before the people will start deleting the app from their phones...Thanks
The app has major bugs in it. Call button next to contact name doesn't work unless you open the chat box and then press the call. Search doesn't work when typing the name even after contact list is shared with app. Overall very sluggish app. Needs better UI refinement along with responsive taps. In call dialier doesn't let you go on speaker while the call is being connected. I have changed my review to 1 star. Lot of more bugs have been discovered. The contacts dont work. No search works either.
Before some few updates, the Proximity sensor used to be on while being in the call and it turns off when I turn the call into chat mode or minimize the app while call is running. But as of now its always on which disturbing while trying to touch screen and the hand gets closer to proximity sensor area. Kindly revert back or fix it to be turned off when the call gets minimized.
Main problem I am facing with the app is Notifications. It doesn't show notification on mobile screen. I have to open the app when phone rings and then check individually who has called. I have enabled all notification even one with always show on screen but still no luck. Also I am not able to change ringtone for calls. It always use default ring tone.
Voice quality very good but sometime the voice shake or converted into a nightcore with 1x8 speed i don't know why may be traffic(users increases day by day) issue or may be some kind of updation required to resolve this issue. But overall very good app for call in some countries with free of cost hasle free. In uae it's difficult to call without paying but it's a good platform. It's really helps for a good communication.
Nice to see a response to the comment, it shows the quality of the mgmt 👍. In case of interruptions, we disconnect n then call again to get it clear. Never tried any international video call, tried locally and it was very clear. All the best to ToTok team. Facing problems in connecting contacts, don't know if it's coz of the nick names..
Its been a while nw im unable to make both video and voice calls. I did the update but still could not place a call, so i tried uninstalment and re-instalment. Now I am unable to create an account. It keeps telling me network error, connect to wifi. I tried off sort of wifi connections but it still keeps giving me same error message. I really loved this app so if there is something you can do to get me in to my account, i will be very greatful. Thanks and waiting
The video quality is fantastic, clear and smooth - especially with good internet connection. However, the sound can morph when the internet is slow (high pitched sound). Also, the ringing tone is a bit gloomy - has that sad vibe when waiting for the call.
I cant make calls or video calls no matter how many times I relaunch the app and press the camera or call icons. Nothing happens. When I try setting a chat wallpaper, once the selection is made it doesnt appear on the chat. The contacts and friends either dont load or get stuck loading and I have to close and relaunch the app again just to face the same issue.
Just installed this app. Mine is more of a suggestion than comment. You people need to work a lot on your user interface. It can be improved immensely in almost all of the sections. Will write my feedback about its functionality and other things after using it for a while. All in all a nice initiative for an app that works without VPN assistance for countries where messanger and calling apps are blocked.
Edits: After registering complaint, issues was fixed. I reinstalled the app and works smoothly now. Received call from UAE and was able to call back. Happy to use. Complaints : Can't even report a issue from the app. That's the biggest of all issues. No ring for incoming, When trying to call back asking to log in. Can't Log out to Log In.
Very good and a must have App. I am not comparing this App with any other Apps. But individually speaking about this App, it's really a good one. Sometime due to network issue sound tone changes, but it's not major issue I think. Need to explore more to get more pros & cons of this App.
I installed the app on my phone in India, it works well when connected to wifi but would not work on cellular data, even though the network connection was strong enough. I tried to go to help and notify the team on the problem but it showed error and the message won't go through. Please advise.
Finally a VoIP application which works in UAE. Hopefully it starts this way. The voice and video clarity is simply amazing!! The search function is not working at all. Appreciate if ToTok team could kindly look into it and resolve the problem. Fingers crossed for the survival and functionality of this app. Thanks a lot ToTol and TRA of UAE.
Still has a long way to go. Syncing the contacts takes forever. The contacts are quickly forgotten and syncing starts again. The contacts search field does not work. There is no way to sort the contacts by alphabetical order. Unreliable audio and video, keeps cutting off in a very erratic manner. Come on guys, I am sure you can do better than this.
