It is quite amazing that they created such a horrible and disfunctional app in this modern "App Age". Norton probably has some decent financial resources, yet teenage kids with no budget are able to create apps that are 100x better than this thing. I don't think I have ever disliked a piece of technology more than this one.
Used to be great, but terrible app with terrible support now, won't sync with exchange, display won't update. Switched to Nine
Purchased this app but key is no longer on the market place so can't setup my new phone. Contacted support... crickets. I want a refund!
Many errors to connect to office365,touchdown for smartphone was working perfectly for years...? Issue after upgrading to a new Pocophone F1..
paid for this awhile ago and can't use it no more license available to download.
I have samsung Galaxy s4 with android version 5.0.1 and I can see the appointments on the overview page but not in the calendar (side apk installed from company's intranet page)
Not syncronising automatical and no push notofication for new mail.please improve
Inbox is extremely slow to load now on galaxy
This app has less features than Fred Flintstone's car
Love it! The nag setting is awesome
The worst, but my firm requires it.
In a business environment this app is not that bad. It is one place for mails, appointments, notes and contacts that are all synced with exchange. There is just one really really annoying bug. When I open a Mail via a Notification the back button is exiting the app instead of going back to the inbox. Also the settings are unfortunately spread across lots of different places im the app.
I have used this app for a few years and the app itself works pretty well. The main problem is with the orange interface since Symantec bought the software. The themes are just ridiculous and the orange color is a bad choice of epic proportions. It is especially bad on text screens to reply pop up and you can't read the text because of the orange color. Update: finally gave up and uninstalled it and switched to a different app.
Was THE go to app for Exchange until Symantec / Norton got a hold of it and turned it into a rubbish app. Clunky, outdated, slow (still waiting for my search results!), terrible themes and to top it all off, now they end of life it. Uninstalled for Nine (huge improvement and recommended). Good riddence Symantec.
Works OK for basic email. Horrendous search takes several minutes to return results, if it doesn't just lock up your phone entirely. Forced to use this for work, it often crashes, and locks up my screen in the process. Staying on top of emails while traveling for work is tough enough without having to fight with your email app constantly.
Charging $19 for the Pro version only to end-of-life the product later is disingenuous to say the least. I never received any notification about this and had I not randomly stumbled on this I would have had a bad surprise later. Symantec, you stink as usual. Buying up a company just to shut them down when you can't get you sh*** together is horrible.
I would definitely not use this app if my company didn't require it. Searching is incredibly slow and often results in crashes. Reading email can be extremely frustrating as the UI tries to decide whether or not to display the header info, with the text body repeatedly sliding up and down to follow. Email address completion sometimes simply doesn't work, even for people whom I email daily. All in all this is a poor quality app kept afloat by large contracts with stingy corporations.
The interface on this app has suffered under Symantec's ownership. It used to have some clunky quirks in things like settings, but the day-to-day usage was solid. Now you can't make an appointment by clicking on the day and time you want to meet - it defaults to the first day of the displayed week - so many times have I had to edit an appointment because it defaulted to Sunday at midnight. The header information that is in the way of reading emails, then disappears and shifts the entire text up with it so you lose your place when you are reading. If you try to pull down the email text, it pulls down the header with it. The organization of the options are better, but that's little consolation for this turd.
app crashes every time you install and try to move to the calendar with monthly view, only way to get the calendar work again is to reinstall... ouch.... the only version that is working is an old one that you need to get from tech support, but it doesn't have all the new features. HELP
Works well, got an updated look as well as some (needed) functionality improvements. Ignore the whiners, and kudos to Symantec for not letting TouchDown become just another piece of abandonware! Nobody (including myself) will ever be completely satisfied with the provided themes, but they are usable and Touchdown remains my favorite email client for work/professional use.
After updating from older version it was working on my Samsung note 5 until I tried. to switch calendar to month view and it froze the program. Now, I can no longer use calendar view as it freezes the program. And then I have to kill the process and restart touchdown. ****Update: After reinstalling Touchdown, problem seems to be resolved and i can use calendar view including month view. It works better for me than Outlook.
Crashes at least once a day, and after latest update the calander notes are unreadable. More then 3 months and still they can't fix the problem, the consumer service says there's no time-line for the update to ne fixed. If your a corporate, I recommend another company
Touchdown used to right at the top of the pack. But it's become just too much trouble to use. It should be great but it isn't great for me. The new interface is so much better and I really like the Calendar. But it still feels like a legacy app - and this is the only Exchange client I've used that can't auto-discover my Office 365 settings. More importantly, it's not stable on my Huawei tablet. Nine email/tasks/calendar gives me more or less the same features with a really nice up-to-date look and feel - and it's been hassle free. Here's hoping Symantic puts more resources in to Touchdown!
Good app for the most part but I really can't understand why has no rich text editor been added for composing mails. The mails themselves display rich text message, so would adding a rich text editor not be a logical extension. Otherwise every email sent from this app is just like an unformatted buch of lines.
Used to be good for Outlook users, not so much anymore. Won't show attachments or even if attachments are on an email, search (offline and server) no longer works, doesn't show calendar invites dates or times correctly. Hasn't been updated in ages. Moving to actual Outlook app.
