A little tricky to get the mixer to actually find the Android device, and an iPhone does connect comparatively smoother. I suggest only installing the app once the desk is powered on and to keep connected via the Android options when connected to the desk's network. Also boot the app on before connecting to the desk network. I found that in this order the Android device will finally work, connect and function just as well as any apple device regarding this app. Mutes are inaccessible via the app
I really am extremely disappointed how substandard this app is, given how great the Touchmix 16 is. It's obvious QSC does not really care to compete with other digital mixers that have very stable, fully functional remote-control apps. First, forget about using this unless you use a router. The Touchmix's USB WIFI dongle creates a weak unstable WIFI connection that disconnects every 5 minutes. Second, you need a tablet because the UI on the phone is quite limited. Very disappointing indeed.
I have had a Touchmix 16 since they were first released. I am almost certain that the app controls on my android phone allowed for fuller access to EQ and other mixing functions in the past. If I'm wrong, I do not mind being corrected. Why, when devices are constantly improving, did you nerf the interface on android devices? I just bought the 8 for the College that I work for and was disappointed when I hooked up my personal device for control. Let the user decide how it operates.
App thinks my 10-inch Lenovo tablet is a phone and won't run in full control mode. QSC and Lenovo keep pointing fingers at each other, and neither wants to take the lead to fix the issue. Very disappointing, since this is one of our go-to field desks.
This app is essential for any user of a QSC Touchmix desk. However, it is worth that there are a few limitations when used on a Samsung S9+ mobile, most frustrating is you can't opperate the mute buttons.
Drops in and out all the time. Multiple people can't connect. It clicks and pops in the bands in ears. Everything sounds great out the FOH but this app needs an update badly
After going thru the learning curve and growing pains of learning how to set up and use the app I have found it to be really useful. It may not be the most stable but when it works right it does well.
This qpp is laughable. Using note 9. Can't mute, eq, or do anything else except for control volume. Checked permissions and everything is good. Great mixer, garbage app
Got it to load and install on my phone only to have not see the mixer. Uninstalled and now it won't reinstall. Says it's waiting for a wifi signal. Worked fine on my cheap Android tablet.
It's a bit of a joke. After using Mixing Station for my MR18, this feels like Windows 3.1 For a mixer that costs twice as much, invest some of that money on a customizable interface app.
Mute functions do not work. You can set your user buttons as input mutes (etc), but have no feedback which input is muted until you back into the main mix screen.
Does not connect to my pixel 2 XL. Works flawlessly on my friends iPhone. Come on qsc I expect this from lesser brands but not from you guys.
So far the app looks good. one big problem...I am not able to use the mute buttons with my cell phone. Any suggestions?
How come I can't use mute button in the app, i get that can be a issue on small screen , so why not make a window only for that function?
Hey guys, still not working on Android... Please fix it. All my friends with iOS, can use the app.
Used by my band to control the mix. Very good app.
This APP does not work on the Motorola G5 Plus. Does this work on any Motorola phone?
Very good user interface Need update
New windows update is making this app glitch. We need qsc to update this app!
It connect but it doesn't work.
Remot Control For Android Not Full Acces.
Only works with older versions of Android !!!
Connection issues constantly
Will not work with my Galaxcy S 10 Android.
I can't get the mutes to work.
like this app
It's great
It needs an update for Android but no update is available :-( I'll give 5 stars with new update.. The iPad upgrade opened nicely the first time. It looked awesome, I noticed a huge improvement where the layout is concerned. The new features are also very welcome. When I tried to launch it the second time, all I got was a black screen. It takes about 30 seconds for the black screen to be replaced by the homescreen. I haven't used it yet but I'm sure it will work as well as the previous version.
Complete garbage. My samsung galaxy s8 is glitchy connects but sliders are not showing correct position, controls not working. Permissions were granted to device in setup. My samsung tab s2 pro won't connect at all. My DJ partner has an older IPhone, app works flawlessly. Guess I hav e to buy an IPAD just to complete the whole point of a digital mixer. It feels like no effort was made on android platform. Principal QA Engineer for a software company, so this really bothers me.
