Continually returns back to splash screen. Even after hitting save on an invoice, if the app changes from split screen to single, the expense is gone. If I swap between this app and another, the thing I'm entering is all wiped.
Great concept, the only issue is seems to have a bug where it keeps on lossing receipts that have been entered. if it wasn't for this i would rated it 5 stars.
I am using the android app and it doesn't let me select yes for Australian resident. Everytime I select yes, it automatically select no for me. I would be in big trouble for providing false information when it's not my fault.
Works as it describes. Another great initiative by Australian government. I was in Perth and the TRS person was very effective and supportive. You need to show the bills of purchase along with the QR code. Waiting depends on the number of people before you and normally it will take 2-3 min to complete the job if everything is ok.
Cannot paste into input fields, inviting human error. Invoice number field is not long enough to capture full invoice numbers from Amazon AU.
prefilled but useless in the airport as system failed in the airport and custom still ask you to fill the paper form manually. totally waste of time.
the latest update unsave my invoices once exit the program and re-enter the apps. i have done it 3 times wasting 1 hour
Deletes all information entered, a complete waste of time. I would give it zero stars if possible..
app works but does not save time as you still have to line up with all others claimjng.

App is okay but EVERYTIME I went to the airport RTS office, their system is down so ended up to fill out the paper form and wait for 2 months. Why bother to have an app? Total waste of time.
Absolutely rubbish. Filling the form in the App doesn't make the process any faster. On Friday night, there were 50 people lining up and each one takes approx. 5 minutes to process. Many people cannot get the tax refunded as they don't want to miss their flight. Poor service, period.
The only thing I had to do is turn up the brightness on my Nexus 5 for the barcode to be scanned. Otherwise, it walked me painlessly through the required steps, and it was a treat to skip past the handful of people who were waiting in the standard line for their claim.
Ran from domestic to international as I was only given 90 minutes for the international connecting flight. Got through immigration in record time and had 40 minutes until the 30 minute cut off at TRS counter. Only to have the lane for the TRS app code fast lane unavailable. F¥!& you Australian customs!
With QR code & all still was in line (full of non english speakers with no QR code & unprepared to claim) for 45 min until I had to give up & run for gate missing both refund & airline lounge Not buying the "shop as a tourist in Australia" bull again - shopping in Australia is expensive & especially so when they make getting promised redund on GST impossible
totally useless and moronic procedure. where is the automation in this process? In the end we end up waiting over an hour and then due to the flight departing we had to abort the queue and leave without being able to get our claim processed. I wonder if the staff are instructed to deliberately take their time so that people are forced to leave without being able to claim back the tax. trs is nothing but a totally stupid scheme the stupid Australian customs department uses to con travellers out of their dues
Worthless, the Melbourne airport queues are horrible whether you have the app or not. Waiting 1 hour even with the qr code. Furthermore, after reaching the desk, they asked me to fill the paper form as the QR code does not work.
Great application. Easy to use and lets you know exactly how much you are getting back from the tax refund. Best of all you get to skip the queue!
Stood in line for 40 min. Only 3 staff on duty. They eventually gave up and told us all to fill in forms... everyone was furious. seriously TRS you are a joke. Zero stars if i could.
imo deliberately slow service by sad faced abf crew, manner less, stood in the line for processed refund for an hour, but sad soul lady wouldn't do refund because 40 minutes left 4 boarding, abf thief
The app does its job perfectly. However, an honest recommendation would be, if you just have few receipts, forget about the QR code and queue whichever lane is shorter. The manual one was way faster when I visited on a Monday night.
The app is fantastic but the Border Force staff at Melbourne airport serve non app claimants much quicker. I wont bother next time.
Easy to use, clear design, makes the process much easier. Should be advertised outside the airport though.
Sydney airport queues were very long for both app and non app lines. The app line moved faster than the non app line, and once at the counter processed the claim quickly.
What is the purpose for this app? It does not save time in the queue and the scanner did not work. There are confusing signs in the area. One says no phones and the other says download the app while waiting. One would think there would be a separate process if the app is used.
