Very solid mini-metroidvania/precision platformer. It had some issues before, but has been updated with significantly improved gameplay. The movement and controls are very tight and overall feel great. Some parts of the game can be pretty difficult, but it never gets too hard.
The frustration probably wasn't worth 6 hours to beat. It became more tedious than fun when just trying to jump off a wall with virtual controls took 20+ tries and the game periodically freezes (garbage collection?) which misses input. Liked the concept, but not the play.
I've been playing this recently and I have to say that it's worth playing for sure. From what I've played it's hard but fair. Currently I'm at the final boss and While I won't spoil it, you should look forward to seeing a Ghost & Goblins reference while fighting the final boss. Although, this one doesn't make you replay the whole game a second time to beat it.
The control are unforgiving. After spending a week trying to pass a room, I'm uninstalling this app. I had fun at the beginning, now I'm just frustrated by the pixel perfect moves I have to do.
Its a rather good game, its a bit linear, but the diffuclty does not takes away from the whole experience all over, i find my self fond of the artistic choice of GBA graphics in orange all over pallette, its pretty neat.
The game is pretty decent, but the ending confuses me. Is the wizard you fight really the final boss, because every time you kill him text appears telling you the room was an illusion, and nothing is explained. There is no way to backtrack from the boss to earlier, and I'm not sure if I am really at the end of the game, or not.
Issues with controls not being fluid and unresponsive. Seems cute and could be engaging if only I didn't get stuck on invisible edges. Further my hot box seemed larger than my pixels... That or projectiles had larger hit boxes...
Well made precision jumping game crippled by broken directional controls. What would Megaman be like if 25% of the time pressing left or right did nothing or stopped responding in the middle of a complicated jump maneuver? It would be a lovely game that nobody would bother playing because the technical issues would ruin gameplay and destroy fun. Thats this game. Ruined by bug-ridden directional controls. Also, tons of ads. Ads about every 80 seconds
Excellent quick-fix Metroidvania. Had some control issues, but they were patched out and now it controls really well. Still tough in spots, but it feels fair when you die now. Highly recommended.
I would have given this game perfect if the controls were not as bad as they are. Many times the arrow keys have decided to give out on me making a possible jump impossible. Also getting hit should not send you back as far.
Had a very hard time with controls randomly letting go, but regardless, I definitely enjoyed it.
As a platformer game, this needs to have much better controls in order for it to be enjoyable. Frequently, the input for my controls would simply stop if I got damaged, or simply landed on the ground again after a jump. Overall, you jump and fall much slower than necessary, and even moving left and right feels slow and clunky. This makes precise platforming actions very difficult, and obstacles that would be easy to overcome in other games were very frustrating in this one.
The controls in this game are not that good and the obstacles make the game more difficult than it needs to be
One of my favorites so far!
One of the best
Great game but excessive number of ADs interrupt the game play and flow. Uninstalled after 15 mins. Will test again later to see if it has improved.
The controls are dodgy, hit-detection is fuzzy, and whether or not you wall grip is very random.
Game seems fun but ads are so frequent it's hard to stay interested long enough to get anywhere.
Will go down as a classic. To notch gameplay, visuals and audio.
The game is, while fun, rather unforgiving in level design. Some rooms feel nigh impossible, which is not a good thing for replayability or good feels. An update to clean up the level design will be much appreciated, as that feels a bit needed. Unique choice of color, It's not everyday that you see a gameboy game in an orange color. Controls are responsive. Jump feels sharp, which complemented by the parachutes floatyer fall.
