Town of Salem - The Coven
The game ranges from 7 to 15 players. These players are randomly divided into alignments - Town, Mafia, Serial Killers, Arsonists and Neutrals. If you are a Town member (the good guys) you must track down the Mafia and other villains before they kill you. The catch? You don't know who is a Town member and who is a villain.
If you are an evil role, such as a Serial Killer, you secretly murder town members in the veil of night and try to avoid getting caught.
Roles
Town of Salem has 33 unique roles ensuring a different experience each time you play.
Before a game starts, players are put into a lobby where the host can select what roles will be in the game. Players are then assigned roles at random from the list of chosen roles. Game Phases
Night
The night phase is when most roles use their abilities. For example, Serial Killers stealthily murder people, Doctors heal people who are attacked, and Sheriffs interrogate people for suspicious activity.
Day
The day phase allows the Town members to discuss who they suspect of being an evil role. Once the voting phase starts a majority vote from the town will put someone on trial.
Defense
The defense phase is when you plead your innocence to the town. Have a convincing story or find yourself facing the gallows!
Judgement
During this phase the town will vote on the fate of the defendant. Players can vote guilty, innocent or abstain. If there are more guilty votes than innocent votes the defendant is sentenced to death by hanging!
Customization
Players are able to choose their own map (town setting), character, pet, lobby icon, death animation, house and a custom name. The other players in the game will see your selections.
Achievements
There are currently over 200 unique achievements in the game. Earning achievements will grant various in-game items.

I think the game is awesome. It is hard to win with certain roles, so there's a challenge a lot and some roles are easy to win. Lots of common bugs have been fixed (thank god) making it much more pleasant to play. Although one big one still ruins the game for me. It will occasionally freeze and say I disconnected even though I have a very good connection. Please fix it. I just want to ask one more thing, add a way to sell scrolls. It would be a pleasure. Once I finally received my expansion pack(December 31, 2019)it was great! The new update is amazing too. The one thing I did have issues with was transporter. It was my first game after the update. I knew that the screens would be different but I could only transport one person. I dont know if it was a bug or lag on my part. Other roles that required 2 people( CL, or witch) worked perfectly fine. I haven't got transporter since so I don't know if it's a bug or not.
I really like this game, actually i originally play it on steam. But i felt good when i saw it on mobile as i can play it whenever i want. However, there are several things that make inefficient and hard to play. I recommend that you put a portrait orientation so that we can somehow read while typing. Also, the HUD interface are so big that they cover everything so please make an option to change the size of them. Finally, make the camera able to be zoomed in and out as seeing the players helps in playing the game. Thank you
This game is truly amazing. I really like the new animations you've added, and the looks gives it a real charm, but the game itself has some issues. I played one game and i noticed a few bugs/glitches. When you get lynched your pet does not follow you to the "hanging station" xD, the songs do not sync together at all, and the hanging animation just gets cut, can't really describe it... The controls are a bit hard to understand, especially for the begginers. These aren't really game breaking issues but i know everyone would more preffer a better gameplay. I know you will fix this, hopefully it will be soon. Keep up the amazing content, good luck!
I have been playing ToS for a very long time on PC. I am so glad it has been brought to mobile! For the most part, it works sufficiently. I took off two stars for random disconnections. I have been disconnected from several games, including ones where scrolls were used which is frustrating. The second is for the keyboard orientation is difficult to type. Besides these things, I am very pleased.
I love the graphics of this version. It looks smooth and it doesn't lag. It's kind of hard to control the game as I usually don't have my phone horizontal. Only glitch that has occurred was when I received the reward from the Cauldron, it didn't show up in my inventory until I logged into the computer version. Other than that, this version is really cool!
The game is amazing, but there are two serious bugs. One, if the app gets suspended for any reason, it will automatically close itself. Two, after about a game the keyboard takes upwards of 15 seconds to pop up, making the game almost unplayable. Other than these two bugs, the app is great. I would still recommend the desktop version if you can use it though.
I've been playing ToS on the PC for quite a while now, and adapting to the mobile version is quite hard. But first of all, I'll address the graphics and animations. The animations are smooth and fresh, much different from the PC version which has more static icons and characters. The graphics are also refreshing and it's overall more pleasing than on the PC. However, the controls are very hard. It's challenging to find chats from previous days, and overall difficult to navigate around the interface. There are lots of buttons and things to click in order to keep up with everything. Not to mention, it's frustrating when you accidentally mistake the notes for the last will. Since everything is on a smaller screen, there's a much more likely chance you'll mispress something—which may or may not cost you the game. Another gameplay flaw is that when the keyboard shows up, it obstructs most of the chat so you can't read what's going on. Overall, I think the devs did a wonderful job and they did what they could with the controls, but I feel as though it's not as fluid and easy to play as on PC. Maybe if you can adapt to the game controls over time, you can learn to enjoy this app. But I will remain on the web version of this game for now.
Everytime the game's about to start the app would close and it keeps happening. I've been trying to play and just lost the ticket to nothing. Pair that with the fact that I can only watch an advertisement to play and when the app crashes I lose everything. I've tried uninstalling it and back but the result's the same. It won't let me play a single game! This is so frustrating. I thought it said you guys fixed that problem, then what is this? I couldn't even get past name selection.
The game is fun but has a terrible bug where it freezes in the middle of an active session. Had it happen to me multiple times in a row where I had to restart and wait 5+ mins to be able to play another game. I use the s9 plus which is updated to the current update. They will get more stars once this bug is fixed and I am able to play a full session without it freezing.
Kind of a let down there. I couldn't play the free version which is to see an ad . I lost the excitement of the game already. Because the game is kind of forcing you to pay before you play. And even the ad button didn't have any ads. Developers must understand that we can't pay for things that don't interest us. Should work on that. Atleast engage ads. Overall the graphic and UI is good. The animation is smooth. Could see it on menu screen. Hope I could play this sometime soon.
I used to play Town of Salem all the time on my pc and just recently discovered that I could also play it on my mobile. I downloaded it, but not once have I been able to get it to work. It loads to 8% and then this error box pops up and says to check your connection, force close the app and restart, uninstall and reinstall and if that fails the server may be undergoing maintenance. I've tried everything multiple times, my Internet connection is great and it's been days. Please help.
I liked it. On my previous review I said that the graphics are nice which I still stick to but, the gameplay is a bit wonk. Let's start with the login screen. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it finally works you end up on the default screen, so let's start with the problems; the screen is too clustered like the rest of the game. The game lags in the lobby and it can lead you to having just a blank screen which the only way to get rid of it is to restart the app. Overall 4 stars.
As a fan of this game for 3 years, it pains me to say that this app is almost unplayable as a free version. The keyboard goes off for no reason and the game is extremely laggy. I couldn't play a single game from beginning to end as it freezes everytime. I understand there are limitaions with mobile but at least fix the keyboard so I can improve my ratings. Hope for the best next time.
This is a good game. You can still have fun and enjoy it without paying- and if you do buy, it's really worth it! Lately though, I've had an issue where I can't watch ads to play games. I click on it, I'm brought to a completely black screen, save for an x button and the privacy policy in the corner. I'm there for a second, and then it closes and shows me the "Flummery!" notification and says "there are no ads available, please try again". I love this game a lot, but I can't play... Please help!
I love TOS, and love that its finally on phones, but I enjoy it a lot more on the computer. I actually like how things are combined but feel restricted when it comes to typing. Having a portrait mode for the game would be amazing. I do see the limitations but it would make the typing experience more enjoyable and natural. Not many people type while in landscape mode so it's very unnatural and uncomfortable.
For a mobile game, this went above and beyond my expectations! I absolutely love Town of Salem and this mobile version is basically a copy. However, there are just a few complaints, as being mentioned a lot. The text box does cover a lot of space, and I still haven't found a text history. I think a great boon to the game would be to separate mobile and PC players, since it takes so long for mobile players to type or perform an action. Maybe make the time for mobile players double? Just a thought. It feels extremely rushed on mobile, since typing and taking actions take twice the time. Absolutely love the post will feature though. Super helpful!
I downloaded it as soon as I got the email announcing it's release. I've played for a long time on PC and I'm glad it's on mobile. However, I've tried freeing up space, closing background apps, turning off my screen filter and anything else but it can't get past the BlankMediaGames loading screen. It freezes and crashes.
Lets get this clear, I love this game, the premise behind it and the execution by the players is amazing. I love that you can play the base game without paying, I'm gonna buy the premium + coven when I can, BUT, THEY HAVE A HUGE HECKN FLAW! In order to play a game, without paying for premium, you have to watch an ad, and thats fine by me, the problem comes when you try to watch an ad, and it says "No ads available, try again" I CAN'T PLAY LATER, I CAN ONLY PLAY NOW! Give me an ad, or a free game!
This is a wickedly fun game with a smart concept that puts your reasoning and persuasion skills to the test. It's even better when you play with friends, a lot of laughs will come. The players may be annoying or toxic sometimes, but tbh it has gotten a bit better since two years ago. You can always use the ignore option. Warning: can get very frustrating. But imo it's worth the hours of fun. Edit: the game controls are clunky
"Connecting to server..." I'm having the same problem as many people trying to play this game, but it doesn't even start. That's not good at all. I give it 2 stars for the memories and -3 stars for whatever plan led to this disaster. Btw, I wouldn't mind 1 or 2 ads per game, but it sounds like that system has also imploded. RIP, TOS. (It's never too late to rise again)
Very fun game with a super cool concept. It has different modes including ranked which changes things up a bit, either in rules or peoples play style. Of course some people play very dumb and it ruins the run getting yiu to lose when you shouldn't, but also adds that element of you don't know what the heck is going on. By the way after you get a feel for it go to the "chaos" game modes and play "any all", you'll thank me...
