I do not like update. Prior to updating the app, I was able to see everytime my car was turned on. I parked my car at a garage daily. I was able to see everytime they turned on my car. Along with the mileage information, it provided evidence that someone at the garage was driving my car. I park someplace else now. But having that feature is very important to me. May you please and that feature back? In addition, the app is harder to navigate. The older layout was fine. Thank you

This new version needs a fix quickly. At least please make the old version available! The app is a terrible battery drain when not connected, the Android notification stays at the top of the screen, Alexa doesn't work without manually reconnecting (time consuming process) every time the vehicle is started. And last but not least, the vehicle will no longer read or respond to text messages. And the leave feedback function in the app causes the app to crash! Oh the irony! Please help!

Previously, the Toyota app had an option of adding a widget to start the vehicle to the home screen. Instead of having to open the full app which could take like 30 to 90 seconds, all I had to do was to press that widget & put my finger on the fingerprint sensor. Now it seems that this option was removed. There is no option to add a widget at all anymore. To start the car I have to open the app & do it this way which takes much longer. If I am missing something I would love to hear about it. Tnx

This app has a major battery drain problem. It used 3.1% of my battery for being active for less than a minute. (in contrast, 3% for 16mins on Instagram with videos and loading pictures) Secondly, this app has an issue with the Android notification bar, even when there is no notification, it stays on the bar and can't be swiped away causing clutter. Thirdly, the notification list in the app always tell you there are notification even though all of them have been read. All in all, pretty much

Compared to entune, this is junk. entune did what I needed it to: Connect to my 2018 Tacoma every time. Just went on a trip and had to battle this app to use in car navigation. Couldn't just turn on accessory mode and immediately search for a destination. Had to manually connect, and that was only a 10-20% success rate. Ended up having to search on my phone for the location then find it by zooming in on the map and manually setting a point. Going to try uninstalling and going back to entune.

The updated version of this app is not helpful. The responsiveness and time to connect to the vehicle is worse than what it was previously. Also, the 'locked door' timestamp is confusing. I can't tell if it's a reading from earlier in the day or more recent status even after manually connecting and locking the doors. Unfortunately there are no other apps to connect to the vehicle. For a company that engineers the best vehicle, this is disappointing to fall short on the app experience.

When I first got my car the app wouldn't stay connected. With the update everything is staying connected. However, the Scout link won't show the map even when plugged into the USB. Don't need a bunch of music apps just one good one. Can never use my voice to make a call. Better in some ways but could use more improvement.

Again I must open the app from my phone settings, and that is only possible after an unknown romp through various settings. It will remain usable for a short indeterminate period of time and then. I must do it again, definitely when I want to use it to start the car or check status. Today, May 11th, the app seems to function normally, however it is deficient in its coverage of connected services. I can find no information on the status of my connected services account, or it's features. Not work

Even though it's connected I've got no extra functionality from the apps in my Toyota Highlander hybrid year 2016. In fact I have much less I can't access any of the apps it keeps saying that it's not connected even though it is. This happened once the functionality was migrated to this app over the Toyota EnTune app, which in and of itself was not a very good app but at least it worked. I can't send text messages though I can receive them via the Bluetooth connection as well.

Garbage, this app is stupid, it now takes more time to connect to the car. To connect I have to open the app, and make selections that only add time and frustration. I spend time looking at my phone trying to get this to connect rather than just driving. The Entune app would connect automatically and seamlessly. This is garbage. Too bad we are forced to use this. I will probably just stop using it and rely only on Bluetooth.

The new update 2.0.1 is the worst thing. Last Known position with mapbox is totaly useless with an accuracy of more than 500 meters (few streets away). Last version with Google was right on the car position, but now, useless.. And yes, the exact position is allowed on the Toyota application,,, Please let me go back to the previous version... No to mapbox..

My initial impression of the recent update was good. It's now rare to get a hung notification that can't be dismissed, but it does still happen occasionally. Unfortunately now it takes a rediculous amount of time for the app to load the landing page with my vehicle. Generally faster to walk over to my keys, walk to the window and press lock on the fob. Eyeroll.

Time for a hot fix. Galaxy s10+ I know my phone is not the latest model, but it's quite obvious looking at your feedback that it's not the only one having issues with your app. Your app is absolutely subpar, and frankly I can't believe I paid money for the services associated. It's time to improve it, or return fees to users. Mine will not launch and I have already cleared memory, reinstalled once. Not acceptable.

App rarely works correctly. I use it to try to play iHeartRadio and if/when it connects, 75% of the time I receive a "communication unsuccessful" message when I try to change a song or station. The Entune app worked much better which is saying a lot given that app's issues. Don't know why Toyota stopped supporting it and forced this one on us. It's making me contemplate replacing the stock head unit with an aftermarket one.

Two years later, same issue. Have deleted and re-downloaded. Doesn't stay logged in even when that option box is checked. I don't want a fingerprint login because if people are killing each other for cars, why would taking a finger for the fingerprint be a problem? For them, I mean. I'd be short a finger... or hand... but what would they care? Also, I deleted a prior review, not sure why Toyota's response to a prior review is still there. This can be misleading.

Update is bad. It still takes forever to open the app. And now, I have completely lost the buttons for remote unlock/lock and start. All I get is a notification to take my car for maintenance. If/when I get the chance to take the car in, I hope this ability returns, but I should never have lost ot to begin with. Follow-up App still does not work even after the maintenance. Please revert this app update Toyota! One reason I bought this car was so that I could start it remotely. Now I can't

Bummed about the update. Before, I was able to use this app on my Samsung watch, which was great because I could go for a run and lock/unlock my truck and not be "married" to my phone or vehicle keys. This was really convenient to use my watch for basic remote features. Now I'm tied to the phone again which was pretty disappointing honestly. Might seem petty but that was a HUGE perk. Now the app cannot install or function. Which also sucks because I found this out in a REALLY inconvenient time.

Bring back Entunes. This has to be the worst app ever. Fuel app doesn't work... constantly disconnects. When and if it does connect.. it shuts down after a few seconds. I constantly have to reconnect if I have to turn vehicle off. Unable to provide feedback on the app... just crashes and states the app has a bug... omg... Reconnection is a pain... Toyota what were you thinking.

Not the same. Before the app worked very well. Since I logged in this morning there has been an update and while I know my car window is down it is no longer showing me the standard status of my car. Update: ever since the app has updated it has been days since I can actually enter the app and get any functionality. The notifications work but that is it.

Just put app on phone because the entune app which worked just fine with my 2014 Camry xle no longer works and already I'm having problems. The app would not accept the account I already had, so I had to create a new one. 2nd, it does not want to connect. A message pops up saying to connect my bluetooth. It's already connected. I don't need other features just want what was on the old app that worked. Toyota only cares about tracking your location and your preferred dealership/ service center.

Remote connect no longer works correctly. I cannot remote start my car and I cannot get charging information. I have uninstalled, disconnected and reconnected 3 times now and still...nothing. It will lock and unlock my car so I know the app is connected to the car somewhat, but it just gives me an error message when I try to remote start. This is a service I am paying for. This needs to be solved ASAP.

UPDATE 5/2022 - Yes, the app interface and look is much, much improved, but it matters little when the ONE feature I have access to for my vehicle-- showing it's current charge, is no longer working! Sure, the previous iteration didn't show an actual percentage (just colored blocks) but at least it worked. Please fix!

Why does it take soooooo long to start up? My phone will turn off before the app even boots. I know it's not my network since I tested it on wifi and mobile with the same result. Wifi speed during speed test is 200+Mbps. I can actually walk across my work parking lot and get to my car before the app even gets a chance to connect. Please fix this, makes the app remote start feature useless.

The app was totally horrible before the upgrade but at least 20% of the time I could connect to my car. Now I cannot connect at all. Update. If I could give it zero stars I would. After talking to Toyota it is obvious that no amount of unpairing or uninstalling will fix an inherently defective app. The fact that it is 2022 and Toyota is unable to make a functional app that can communicate with its products is unacceptable and inexcusable.

This app is not usable any longer. App does not communicate with my car anymore. I try and update the info its supposedly receiving from my vehicle to no avail. Says it was last updated over a week ago. Keeps saying my doors are unlocked and when I try to lock my car thru the app, the app says that the command is not possible because the vehicle is in motion, but my vehicle is not in motion. Its parked, off and not being driven at all. These services are subscription based and are not working

This app makes my phone restart multiple times per day, even if I'm not using it or even in my car. Overall functionality is pretty good when it's working. I preferred the layout before the recent update. I had to Uninstall it for now. I'll try again in a few months. I absolutely will not be continuing the service past my free trial if they don't fix this issue.

Thanks for the visual update to your app. It's great that it looks different however it was bad enough before now the app is completely useless. Now I can't remotely lock my vehicle doors so I don't really see what the point of the app is anymore. I'd give this garbage 0 stars if it were possible. Makes it easier for me to decide not to pay for it when the subscription is due for renewal. 60,000$ for a new minivan and this is the kind of garbage we get given?

After the new update, my app does not work. It does not keep update gas and mileage as before. There is no refresh button I guess if you swipe up its supposed to refresh. The previous app features were great!!!!! Now I have this app on my phone that doesn't work. I don't think I will be using after my trial. Why pay for something that does not work. Purchased a brand new platinum highlander in Sept. and after update the app doesn't work anymore. SMH

Recent update extended loading times beyond the point of usefulness. Having to wait 2-3 minutes after logging in to be able to lock or remote start your car feels like I've been slingshotted back in time to 2008. New UI looks okay but has drastically reduced the ability to actually accomplish things in the app.

It's adequate, but amateurishly executed. Compared to the Tesla app this feels about 5 years behind. It looks nice, but everything is slow, and almost designed to be slow. All actions take too long to execute. Remote start asks you to hold it down for between 5 to 30 seconds. I could go start the car in the meantime. App Startup is very slow compared to most other apps that use face ID. It feels like it's installing for the first time every time you use it, visuals take long to load.
