Toyota Entune®

Horrible car app to use. Honestly the radio works great on bluetooth with no app at all. Entune is awful, full of errors, slow commands to the phone, glitchy, freezes, Alexa about breaks the stereo. I have tried this in my 2017 Tacoma with a Galaxy S9 and tried it again with my pixel, absolutely no difference. It simply makes you perfectly good stereo a piece of garbage.

The app seemed promising when downloaded previously. There were minor glitches but fixed itself over time. However, it's been a month now and I keep receiving an error message. I tried redownloading the app but to no avail. It's very frustrating to have your maps freeze up mid travel or receive a call but Bluetooth will not recognize your phone. Any assistance would greatly be appreciated! Hoping I'm not too demanding! Thank you!

I would give ZERO stars if I could. My phone no longer connects properly to the car. It drop calls when it is actually connected. Pandora which is the only 'app' I actually used is no longer available. I constantly have to turn the car off then back on to get it to connect properly, if not uninstall the phone from the cars Bluetooth recognition and then reinstall it. Every time I get in the vehicle is a process. I would never in a million years bought Toyota if I knew this would be such an awful experience.

Please test and remove sucky features. What is most annoying is having features that don't work correctly. I waste time trying to figure it out, like adding an address to my phone and it's not found in the navigation after synching with the phone. Even if I'm doing it wrong, why does navigation have to be so difficult? I'd rather have no features than defective ones.

Pretty useless since they removed Pandora functionality. The included apps are much easier to use in your phone directly since you can't use any of them while driving. The map feature in the app doesn't connect to the vehicle, so there's no point in using it over Google maps. This app is a complete waste of time. What is its function? I'd give it 0 stars if that was possible.

I'm sorry to say its terrible but frankly it is. It constantly gives errors on both our vehicles dashboards saying we have to download it and then when we try to sign in, we experience the same problem as all the other users. It does not allow you to reset passwords nor do anything. The developer(s) really need(s) to go back and fix all the issues.

since the upgrade this app has proven to be worthless. I can not connect to any of my favorite apps such as Pandora and IHeart Radio. I tried to use the slacker app and it doesn't even show up on my screen in the car as an available app. I had to start using the Bluetooth to use the apps on my phone to play through the car. If i want to change anything i have pull over to change it because i can not use the screen in the car to control the apps. Fix this app so that it work. I have driven a prius for 8 going on 9 years and one of the reason i purchased my second prius was because of the ease of connecting the phone using the app to play music using Pandora. Didn't need a subscription to satellite radio. This will not make me get Satellite radio. change it back. I have uninstalled the app several times. rebooted my phone before attempting to connect to the car through this app still doesn't work except on the apps that don't mean anything to me. This app is version 1.29 and is for cars from 2012 to 2017. Use version 3.0 (a different app) for 2018 and newer. I use the app primarily to turn on the AC to cool off the interior on a hot (100 degree) day. If plugged into the charger it does not deplete the battery nor does it use any gas when running the AC. Now that it allows Alexa voice control it should be interesting. I'll post more after I use that for a while.

Every update to Entune has removed either apps or features. My car's "infotainment" system with the "premium" technology package can now do only a fraction of the things it could with the original version installed when I bought it. The few remaining features in the current version of Entune are extremely buggy and slow. Navigation functions are comparable to a midgrade dashboard-mounted GPS from 10 years ago. Entune is such a frustrating system I've decided my next car won't be a Toyota.

The addition of Amazon Alexa is a great idea on the surface but it is not very intuitive and when running locks out the rest of the system! With Alexa selected other audio sources can't be used, other options are not available. The only way I was able to defeat it was to force stop the app on the phone. The Entune app minus the Alexa addition is pretty good but someone responsible should look into the problems and at very least describe how to avoid or overcome them.

I used to enjoy the (mostly) glitchy ENTUNE app in my 2016 Tacoma. The Pandora integration was awesome, when it worked. It gave you the ability to "Thumb up" or "Thumb Down" songs, and gave direct on screen control of Pandora stations. Before the announcement came out that they are removing Pandora, I might have given the App a 2 star rating (due to the constant crashing and connectivity issues). Now, I wish I could give it a 0 star. Once the update pushes to remove Pandora, I am uninstalling the app.

junk. junk, junk! Absolute waste of time and effort. Connections take long, if you're lucky enough to get your phone to connect to the stereo. There isn't a point to this app AT ALL! Then Toyota decides to remove Pandora! one of the best and popular music services out there. Let's not forget the lack of Android connectivity. Get with the program, Toyota!

Basically useless since update. Pandora support was only thing going for it and it is now gone. Nav functionality is comically bad. Needs to link to native Google and Apple apps for mapping and music. Gas function needs to have map, distance doesn't matter if it's off of your route. Toyota needs to do away with their proprietary app and go for Apple and Google carplay support. Whole point of smart-phone functionality is to decrease use of handsets and keep your focus on the road....this fails and, thus, the 1 star review.

Worst vehicle app I have EVER USED. I travel alot and rent all kinds of cars. Just to connect to a 2021 camry I had to download the app, create an account and type in a valid VIN number. This is ridiculous, I definitely understand why people are complaining. In just a few minutes of trying to connect to my phone, I realized that most of the reviews are not an exaggeration. I exchanged the car for a Ford which I was able to connect to as soon as I plugged in my phone. NEVER recommend this app!

This app has few Entune Apps (all 5 are useless apps) & they keep removing apps. No new apps are being added. The Entune app does not auto connect/auto play the Slacker Radio app like it used to with the Pandora app. I always have to open the Entune App on my phone, then select the Slacker app on my car's stereo/navigation unit & select a station to play music. It would be nice if it automatically played the music everytime where it last left off without having to repeat all the steps.

I try this app after each update in the hopes they might fix something. App has never been able to find my 2018 Tacoma even though my phone is paired with my truck and text, phone, etc works fine. Totally worthless. If I'd known how terrible their entune radio and navigation system worked I would have never bought it. They are decades behind other car companies in navigation and radios.

4Runner: I installed Entunes 3.0 app suite 1st. It would not connect to my phone. I removed that and installed this one and it works. It was difficult to get my VIN number registered, It finally worked with the camera which took 4-5 trys. Only apps I use are Weather and Gas Prices. I think my phone is probably better. Traffic app just gives you a list of problem areas. As far as I could tell it does not integrate with navigation map, not very useful in a metro area.

This app has always been terrible. They did us a favor by breaking it completely in recent updates. It won't even recognize my account as valid anymore. It's mostly bloatware, although the real time traffic on the gps app is very helpful. Even on this one useful app, they have not updated the map with newer highways and roads. It's over 5 years out of date.

Fails to Connect message gets old when you're driving and you can't use GPS. Don't understand why the car can't connect with the phone unless the Entune program has been previously started and is running. It should automatically start if the car requests to connect via the phone. You can't start the program when you're driving WORSE APP EVER FOR A CAR COMPANY. WON'T CONNECT 99 TIMES OUT OF 100

Why remove Pandora app just when it was so close to working correctly? This is such a bad move, the main reason I purchased extra options was because it had Pandora. Sure I can use phone to play, but now I can't use hands free system. You sell a car with a specific feature that was included in the price and then just outright remove it, that's not acceptable. You could redeem yourself if you would allow Entune to allow mapping steering wheel buttons to use with phone apps. I know it is possible, Music Boss allowed me to start and control Android apps with Pebble watch.

Wish toyota would add Android auto, but this does what it was designed to do. On Android connecting via Bluetooth is better than by USB. I found after some trial and error that the phone's power saving features can stop or put to sleep the entune app, iHeartRadio, and even Spotify when youre just streaming via Bluetooth. A few clicks into each app to always allow them to run in the background and its been always connected and streaming since.

I can't even get into this app. It is TERRIBLE!!! I entered the VIN manually, not an easy task, but then it asks you to download the app. Huh? I cannot believe a quality carmaker with the reputation of Toyota would allow this piece of garbage to be required to operate certain features of their otherwise fine Entune system. As with the other commentators, I would give this less than the one star rating, but there is no choice for that.
