This app will not work with my camera, which I just reset by pressing the reset button on the cam. IT SAID IN XHINESE ST LEAST 3 TIMES TO DOWNLOAD THE WIFI APP FOR THIS CAMERA. And it was hard to translate so ttgsnks for nothing, as in lack of details. This app is not working.
The camera is great & all & meets my expectations, but the recent changes on the app I'm not to fond of. I can no longer find the saved videos & pics under the 'Skylight' folder on my phone or Tablet. Until that issue gets resolved, I'll come back & give it 5 stars.
The Cameras are very good and easy to set up. However, whenever the Apps hanged and when we uninstall and reinstall again, this Apps works again but those Clips which we viewed and saved it would be all gone. It would be good if there is a way to move or re-save them out before uninstall.
I constantly get bumped off the server, when I have it on on my computer it asks me every 10 minutes if I wish to continue viewing. For the last time if someone has this app operating assume that they are viewing. stop stop stop asking if I want to continue viewing. If I am running the app do not interrupt me.
The NC260 camera isn't too bad but quite often disconnects from the Wifi network and cannot be accessed again unless the camera is reset. The app used to send alert notifications to my phone but no longer does that even though the option has been selected for both working and non-working cameras. I used to be very happy with this product but now I'm tempted to demand a refund - TPLink dropped the ball!!
It has just become worse and worse. It used to be able to be used in duel screen mode which was perfect - but that has gone. It takes multiple attempts to connect now to view the live camera. Whatever you did to this app, please change it back and/or fix it! I wouldn't recommend purchasing any of their cameras until they resolve these issues.
I don't get why this app is separate from kasa it makes it so all the attention is on different products with a different app because that one connects to alexa, I spent my money buying this camera and because tp-link decided to have 3 different apps for their cameras I waisted my money and all you can do is watch this camera u can't even record unless ur activity looking at the screen, this camera is the same as their kc line works with wifi their no reason why they can't be in the same app.
it works but it heats up the phone too much and uses too much battery as well, just to show a low resolution and low frame rate image, it's so inefficient. in a apple phone it works well but here in android it's a shameful mess. fix this asap. youtube app streams 4 times more resolution and frame rate and uses half the battery...
Won't stop pestering with useless notifications cameras keep getting locked up and needing to be reset and after a few minutes the feed needs to be reconnected. Sensitivity on away from home is way too high, as it tells you if the sun moves.
App bugs A LOT. Nice to have a camera that can change angles... but every time I activate the function the app jams up. I have a s9+ with a ea8500 from linksys. The camera image is nice(n450) but the reason I bought it was the moving function which doesn't work. I'm considering a 3rd party app which I'd have to pay, if only to make my purchase usable... How about linking this to Kasa since all my other tplink appliances are there?
It works fine. Has nice interface. Only complain that I get false alarms. I ve asked to get alarms only by sensing movements on the field and not been sensitive. Still I get false alarms 1 or 2 times per day. Anyway... I don't bother much so I give it 5 stars.
Image quality is quite good, even in the dark. Picks up sounds quite well too. Simple to operate. Would be good to be able to make it more easy to disable notification if user is at home. Otherwise, value for money and works.
Very unreliable, fails 80% of the time to replay what you hoped it recorded. I have two cameras NC260 and NC450. After hours of tinkering to get them to work, a single update can set you back to square one. I'm pretty handy with tech and this stuff beats me. Choose a different brand.
It is very good product for home purpose. Nice clarity, can be controlled remotely (360 degree view), 2 way communication, video can be saved in the mobile or the camera itself. A good value for money spent. very very useful.
When it works it's great. It sometimes disconnects and then asks for admin password. I have to press stream 5 times to get it to load. The hardware is great. The software not so much.
Okay app. Little confusing but not too bad. Finally decided to write a review after the everytime you click something the window comes up to write one. I understand the need for reviews but the popups were quite intrusive
Excellent app. Could use some more privacy control/encryption,save you going on the pc.updates regularly getting better all the time. Peace of mind at a fingertip. Beware of remote control on NC 250,it's easy for ppl with the right app to split your IP line, wrecking your cloud connection,stealing your data with ease. I'm not a professional,but when paying for security, it would be nice to own my privacy,and visitors privacy.and I'm having much trouble fixing the issue(with the help of professes
Worked OK initially, but an update message appeared and I updated ..... Thereafter, none of the Android devices seem to be able to find the camera on LAN! All iOS devices remains connected and can access the camera as usual ...
cant find camera on app. tried resetting multiple. it's the app because when I log into the modem, the camera shows as connected because its through ethernet cable. but the app on my phone and also tried on tablet, cannot pick it up.
Initial problems trying to setup wirelessly as the WPS button couldn't link to router, fed up, I setup using a cable & all went well. Then removed cable & wireless okay but realize antenna was too weak, camera signal kept dropping & was absolutely frustrated! Good thing I use these wall socket wifi extenders, Smacked one unit right beside the camera where adaptor drew its juice & that pretty much solved all my problems. Using w/out SD card. Its v smooth now, been getting push alerts as expected.
