It's a good alternative to look at the stats and adjust settings... However, the app doesn't notify me whenever the battery is low. I always have trouble with the device shutting off just because the app doesn't notify low battery. Please update ASAP! It's extremely necessary to have this feature included in the app.
In my opinion, TP-Link is the most premium brand when it comes to WiFi and networking gear. Their products are of exceptional quality and the app is so easy to use. I never knew there were so many handy features to personalise your Mifi. I have the older M7200 model (I think lol) but it works like a charm! My WiFi speed is so fast it even outperforms Fibre internet 😱 compared to when I use the SIM card on my phone...Thank you team for the amazing products and services!!!💞
Add a feature:: The application is very good but one feature is missing the ability to see all the device that have ever connected to the mifi the only feature in the app is to see the online clients or the blocked clients ,it will be fantastic if there is a third tab for all the devices that had previously connected to the device .. My Mifii is :: M7200 Thanks in regards ...
The only reason that I have this app on because I need it to top up my internet, other then that it useless. The app sometimes unable to log in and I am force to reinstall it. The device itself is unable to charge when you connect to it and only able to do so when you turn it of. Mobile data is way bad and the only way to get good is through the device. But you have to charge it 24/7 to do so risking it to be broken. It sometime disconnect while I am gaming. Unifi wifi it is then.
Very happy with this. Installation was ok, not always clear which pin or password was required, whether sim or router. The integrated data usage information is useful. The integrated battery makes it even more versatile. A huge leap compared to what I was using a few years ago. Super.
Great app. Works really well. Idea, could you add a widget to the app so we could view data usage and battery on a phones home screen. Edit dropping app from 5 stars to 4, device keeps dropping internet around 6 times a day and no warning when battery is low. The more this device drops the internet the less stars you get!
Excellent Wi-Fi, strong and battery life very very good. Easy to use and set up very quickly. Easy and quick to pickup the best signal available. A must have. Thank you TopLink manufacturers. 5 STAR RATED
It worked well for me. The only thing that I consider important to have is the possibility to disable the power saving mode, otherwise you have tu turn the device on all the time and it's so frustrating. If anyone needs to do this, you can change it via 192.168.0.1
Good, but it needs some improvements. First of all, we need to be able to change speed and data limit even if the current client is not connected to the router. Moreover, daily data limit is also needed for mifi devices.
I love tpMiFi since it can change passwords on your router and it tells you how much data plan you have left! Also you can reboot a router without even pressing the button on the router very long.
Really good performance and still getting better. Keep improving. Especially fix bugs that intermittently tend to interfere with network uptime.
Not do much the app but the actual hotspot. Its on, little X in where it should be the 4G words. And itwill not connect unless i delete the app then reload it and reset the piece of equipment. My colleague has the same piece of equipment and it does the same thing. Its frustrating for myself and my colleague. This needs to be simpler...I turn on the equipment and when i find the right equipment i bind myself to it and it should come to life not stay in standby. Is there anybody we can contact?
This app is very useful specially when transfering files. Likewise i like it that i can read messages received on the app. One point of improvement is to make access and connection to the harware faster.
A very good app. Functions well and really helps in my interaction with the TP-Link Mifi. I have never experienced any bugs or hitches working with it. 👍👍
No better than Huawei: Got rid of my Huawei router because of constant problems with connection etc. TP-Link router worked fine for quite some time (still eats battery power) but after some recent update it went bonkers. Persistently 'Disconnected" while connected, with sudden disconnection. What gives, don't leave your customers in the dark and get this problem fixed, please!
there are still some settings are only accessible through the browser login, such as wifi channel, wifi security, dhcp settings, the list goes on. The app is still mostly functional as those settings are not required to change frequently. Would be also really useful to automatically turn off power saving when plugged in as well.
Its okay, it does the job done but could be better, for example most of the people find it annoying when the battery of device run out of juice but the app doesn't notify you or in other case when no one is connected to the device for more than 15 minutes and the device goes to sleeping mode it doesn't turn back on when pressing the power button so you have to take out the battery and put it back in order for it to turn on.
There is an issue with the app. When top up arrives or a SMS it disconnects the internet access. I have to use settings to switch off WiFi and reconnect. The model MiFi dongle I have is a M7350. It is most annoying when the disconnect occurs during a very important conference call.
Very poor does not tell if something wrong or let customer know what and what to fix. There is no way to dwnload to a computer. Just will not let cusomer have any input. Tech support was of no help. No uninstall instructions. Customer service no. Geeks are in charge. Said should installed but speeds were much slower with this product than without. So gone back to store. Do not recommend tpdeco w4 no way!
wish there was a way to make calls, otherwise the sim can only be used for data and sms. Some feature like speed limit only available on mobile app, some feature like channel selection and wifi security only available on web browser. minor inconvenience but tplink doesnt care anyway. Wish there was a way to open source this
When connected everything works fine, but when encountering "Device disconnected" it's very frustrating! The only thing I did to make it work is to clear all my running apps (yes.. clearing tpmifi alone doesn't work, clearing all does)
Great app, merely does it all, except I don't have any kind of notification or feedback in case someone is calling on my mifi line... It just seems to the caller that I am just not picking up, and I can't even tell when I switch cards again.
TpMifi App should add features like controlling data usage. and restrict background data option bypassing the settings on the devices it is SO FRUSTRATING when you see the data usage keeps on adding up eventhough you are not accessing the internet with or without using an app. It keeps on eating my data.
Pretty good overall, only one thing to improve it would be to be able to display the current carrier name. My mifi with 3 from about 3 years ago could do this and there is no way that i have found in this app to do it!
It is really a great app,but the reason why I only gave it a 4 star is because every time I try to use the USSD and type the correct USSD code,it does not let me do it and also because when I want to change the network mode,it doesn't allow me to change into other modes and also it lags.Please respond to help me solve my problem or please fix it if it's a bug or some other problem,but still I love the app.
It looks good, and I haven't encountered any issues with the functionality, but that's really all I'm able to comment on because this app is lacking the most basic of features that one could reasonably expect to find in an Android app. How does this app not have an accompanying widget??! Or the option of receiving a notification when the battery is low??! Please add these!!!
