Trace Snow Ski Snowboard Track

It's awesome when it works, but every once in a while it loses the session either while it is running, uploading, or after uploading. Clicking the option to recover lost data doesn't work as well. This is especially frustrating if you had a great day. I'll change my star rating if the reliability gets worked out. My phone is a Pixel 3 XL.

No longer uploads and developers are unresponsive. I've had Trace Snow for years and loved it until this season. I'm on day 21 skiing this year, so lots of opportunity for this app to work and it's gone from bad to worse. This season I've had to reboot my phone after every session in order to get the app to upload and now the last 4 days did not upload at all, despite it showing it had recorded. Developer site says to email, that they are very responsive, it's been weeks and I've heard nothing

I love this app! One of my favorite features is the ability to share a session sheet on social media with statistical highlights and the runs you did overlaid on a satellite image, which it used to do automatically. Lately though it hasn't given me the satellite image with runs picture, but instead a picture of the side of a ski slope (not sure if it's one of mine or a stock photo). You can add pictures you took easily to the session sheet, but not the map picture. Please add this functionality!

This app worked fine last year, but this year it is missing about half the runs I do. It just gives a message that there is no session data to upload. It's isn't an issue with GPS or 4G because it worked fine in the same resort last season on the same phone. Disappointing - I would recommend you try something else. I am.

Works perfect on new phone. Allow app to always use gps in android settings. This app won't work on most older phones due to GPS clocks being reset in 2019 etc and this app also hasn't been updated in 3 years which is a good thing, because no ads I've seen! I've used this app for over around 7 years. I tried ski tracker but need to watch 60 sec ad to see history. If app doesn't work just get a new phone, ur life matters. They are 10x faster and better than 5 years ago. That $1000+ is worth it!

Didnt record twice (yes I made sure several times that it wasnt in sleep mode) but the MOST FRUSTRATING is when I go to the help button and I get an ON PURPOSE (designed by the app) error message with a cute little avatar that then gives me the option of more info....ZERO HELP. As a last ditch effort I decided to turn on my "ski tracker" app to see if it would work at the same time. Ski tracker worked and trace did not. Worst designed app with that stupid on purpose error message. HATE THIS APP.

Used to be an excellent, fun app. Since Trace had a payment option the app went downhill. Inaccurate readings are the main problem, speed, runs and jumps are always off now. I did 9 runs on 1st March with over 20 jumps all that registered was 1 jump and 3 runs, very frustrating. I've been using it for 10 years since it was known as alpine replay and will not install it again.

App is very slow to let me see stats after finishing a day of skiing. Nothing is stored locally, so it can be impossible to view your session stats without a data signal (frequent in the mountains). Also, all runs are public and there is no way to avoid posting your ski day for all to see.

Hasn't been updated in 2.5 years. Little or no support available it seems. Half the website returns 404 pages. Unable to change your email address via app or desktop login. Unable to import GPX data to account. It's a good app otherwise, and I've enjoyed using it but these are in sum, dealbreakers for me now.

It used to be an awesome app, but the latest version stopped loggging the sessions properly and continuously looses GPS connection. Uploading session also stopped working all of a sudden and I am not able to send whatever partial data has been logged. I will switch to another app, even thou I had years of logged data and will loose it.

1st off, if your phone puts apps to sleep, you need to set this app to not go to sleep or it won't work. It runs in the background when you turn it off. Why?? Come on programmers, when I close an app, I want it to be closed! It does work, but not sure of the accuracy.

Never quite right, last 2 uses were horrible. Recently logged 1 run when at least 15 were made. Starts runs at wierd places other than top of lift. Counts jumps when no jumps are made. Vertical calculation off by several hundred feet. Today logged 2 runs when at least 12 were made. Showed error data was uploaded but couldn't find area.

don't know yet how will it works on the mountain but the settings are a pain. setting your birthdate involves a lot of scrolling and then the app won't save it (i tried twice)! hello page is non existent. not going to trust it on the mountain and will run another app at the same time. or maybe i won't bother with this one (actually i just uninstalled it - i don't need questionable apps clogging up my phone)

Max speed for the day is wiped by just tapping it once on the main screen. I assumed it reset it so that you could check your next run speed, but all previous times we're deleted when I came to upload it. at the end of the day. A very bad feature.

This app stinks! No matter what I do, it never can maintain a GPS signal. I have my battery set at the highest performance mode. I think when the screen goes dark, it causes the gps to lose signal. I will look for a better app.

Used Alpine replay a while back and it was great. Tried to create a new account with this app and kept getting an error message that my credentials were invalid. Facebook login wouldn't work, so I signed up on the website, but still couldn't log in on the app.

Switched phones and installed the app on the new phone, but now my log in credentials no longer work on the app, even after resetting them. I can still log in on the old phone somehow. That's really too bad because it was a good app for what it did. Bummer. :(

Like many others this app was amazing, it had a great user experience and recorded alot of information that was fun to look at and compare. But sadly this app has either died or just lost support which is a shame. Look elsewhere for an app to record your skiing.
