Track Locator
The App links to Google Maps to show the current location on a scalable map.
The App allows the user to take a picture which is stamped with the current user location including Latitude, Longitude (of the current location) and map matched ELR, Track ID, Mileage, Latitude, Longitude as well as the user location to matched position difference. The images are saved to the Gallery for easy access.
The rail reference is only displayed once a suitable location determination has been achieved. This is currently set at better than 100m. Please note that due to the accuracy of the Android Location Services correct determination of Track Identifier may not be achieved.

A number of you have noted that the Track ID functionality (up/down/fast/slow etc) was removed with the last App update and that you would like this reinstated. Track ID was removed as a direct result of misuse of the App by a user. Despite clear instructions that the location information was not to be relied upon, it was, and could have led to a serious incident. Network Rail requested that this function be removed from the App we complied with this request.
Users are reminded that the locational accuracy of GPS in mobile devices can vary widely due to a number of factors and should not be used when making decisions with safety implications.
We are now working with Network Rail to reinstate the Track ID functionality with suitable safeguards against improper use. We hope to release an updated version of the App in the next few months.

Can't get accurate milage on android phone. Have to use work mates iphone to work.

This is now nowhere near as good for taking photographs as the previous versions. Why do I have to go into the submenu every time I want to take a snap? The old version used to have a photo button, really handy for taking as built/red line photos of assets. If this is progress , expect steam trains on HS2
I'm another user who has switched from iPhone to Android and I'm pretty disappointed I can't just drop a pin anywhere to get a mileage. Why is this feature not available on Android?
Since update just says enable gps when it is enabled it has permission to do so just says gps disabled would you like to enable
Not as good as it used to be
I've used this for a few years now and this new version doesn't work properly. After accepting the terms and conditions and starting it's asks for the GPS to be put on even if it's already on. Then I get the same screen asking for the same thing. I've tried with GPS off and then starting it but same problem.

After the last update not letting me use the app now it's working again thanks very much Fantastic app honestly one of those couldn't do without apps!!
I have loaded and it is not working so I un-installed it and reloaded and it's still not working and need this program to run reports. Can anyone assist please?

Issue with update sorted quickly, even took time to reply and apologise. Great work. An app I use every day and would struggle to do my job without.
With the iPhone it was an amazing app. Prob the most useful app ever. But I've recently switched to Samsung and the app is just shocking with Android. Very inaccurate and the mileage adjusts about 20ch whilst standing still last night! I would even pay to have this app work as well as it does for iPhone.
