Works great, if you can get it to connect. My phone has no problem connecting to Bluetooth speakers and lightbulbs, but the app can't seem to establish a connection with the Trackr. Most of the time I try to test it only to watch a "connecting" screen while my phone is in my hand and my keys are in my pocket. The Trackr might be helpful in an emergency situation as a last resort but right now the connection is too spotty for me to recommend

Does not work well. Works sometimes. Sometimes just won't find the tracker sitting next to me. Sometimes won't add new devices. The free battery replacement fails if you accidentally press the order button twice. Then you end up with 2 batteries in your cart, which they don't allow, but there's no way to remove one. It's just a poorly made mostly-broken app.

It is interesting to have the TrackR! The phone ring tone for seperation is quite loud, the devices themselves are fairly quiet. It is disconcerting to have that seperation tone ringing frequently. I'm still trying to get use to this, wish I knew how to adjust volumes. Reviews confirm 100' distance, this is not a challenge, especially considering the affordability of the devices. En total, the jury is still out.

The jury is still out. My TrackRs have mostly quit working. We'll see if the company makes good on the warranty. I just got off an important phone call that was interrupted by multiple separation alerts. Feedback to the developer: give me the option to silence phone separation alerts automatically when I'm in a phone call. I know it can be done; I use other apps that do it.

Crowd locate doesn't work! In fact it doesn't even work from my own phone. It doesn't connect to the tracker bravo. I have seen it run and run and run without connecting. Every time I open it it asks me to turn on crowd locate even though I have it already turned on in my settings. I'm close to some of mine every day and yet the history shows the last sighting from a year ago

Works well. I purchased this mainly for the separation alarm feature. When turned on (optional), it will ring your phone and/or the TrackR if you leave one behind. Basically, as soon as the Bluetooth connection is lost, which seems to be about 60 feet indoors and 100 outdoors. Handy when you leave your knapsack (or purse) under the table at the resto. Saves you from only realizing it when you get home... Removed 1 star because app frequently tells me battery low, and then goes back to full...

initially I thought this was a good deal. And initially they would provide support and send batteries. In the app just stopped allowing connection to live chat and won't order batteries anymore, which keep failing every month by the way. even worse, the app won't stay locked in the background when I lock it. Making it worthless. I've talked to him in the past when they were willing to do live chat and no one could help. Same thing happened with my daughters and some other people I know.

The app is glitchy. Sometimes buttons work, sometimes not. Sometimes it shows me a map, other times it refuses to even open the map. Constantly asks to turn on the crowd permissions. TrackR won't ring my phone like it says it will. I bought at the dollarstore though, so didn't really have high expectations. The app will make my keys ring. So that's really all I needed I guess.

Bought the newer smaller plastic ones. Every single one broke apart. Went back to metal ones. Literally had my ear less than a foot from my wallet and couldn't hear the way to weak sound. Both my wife and I now that if you are ever needing to find something that is indeed close by, when you go to the App to turn on ringer, it is never showing as connected... Not just sometimes, literally darn near every time. Makes things more frustrating than if you didn't have this suppossed finder. Plus, every time you open asks to rate it. So here is my rating. Buy anything else.

Works fine...when it's working! Apart from being on my third battery now in a little over 8 months, it has helped find my lost keys on a few occasions which is great. Unfortunately, despite the device NOT being on silent, it is SILENT so when I try and locate my misplaced keys...THEY STAY LOST! No info on the app to troubleshoot so unless I can get it to make noise, it will go in the bin.

These things are garbage. The app doesn't notify you when the keys lose connection. I just pulled and admittedly old, new in package trackr bravo out of a package and tried to pair for 10 minutes and I get all kinds of different tones by pressing the button but it never pairs. Not worth it anyways as I know it'll just die in a few months and not tell me so i won't be protected in the case of losing my keys. I don't recommend the trackr bravo, and the app doesn't seem to work consistently.

As others have said, the device is okay, but the software app is completely broken. Very sad. I've emailed the company about the app problems, but they appear to be going out of business, as the app is beta status, and hasn't been updated in over a year. Help chat doesn't work in the app. The app alarm is continually making noise (even when the alarm has been turned off in settings). The app map for finding your device is way too small and difficult. Buyer beware.

With a custom ringtone set, my phone keeps playing the notification every few minutes. I've tried changing every setting possible, but nothing other than disabling notifications works (which makes it impossible to make my phone make a sound when I'm trying to find it by pressing the button on the fob). No issue finding the fob. Any ideas on what to try to fix the issue?

Not what I thought I have never been able to locate anything using this device unless I am close enough to see it. Can't even locate misplaced keys at home unless the phone happens to connect to it. Which means you have to be in the same room. I have permanently lost a wallet with a tracker device in it. I give 2 stars because it can help you find misplaced items with tracker devices attached if they are in the same room and are actually paired. Other than that, I find it useless.

I was very excited to use the trackr but the app is super frustrated and not user friendly. App keeps crashing, faq doesn't work, groups won't work, map doesn't work, crowd notifications won't turn on. I won't say yet it's waste of your money as I haven't had the chance to try it out properly but this app is very disappointing. Looks like they haven't bothered updating.

Worthless! Not sure how this can help me find anything when my phone has to be within 6 inches of the device to detect it. Makes me question the claim that crowd locating will occur when others are within 100 feet of a device when my own phone can't locate it in the same room with a fresh battery installed. Batteries die quickly. Have a Bravo and a Pixel with the app on a Samsung Galaxy S8 which I've updated, uninstalled and reinstalled with zero positive results. Very disappointing.

I bought a few of these devices from Massdrop a few years ago when this company was a startup. I lose stuff, so it seemed like a need. Recently I downloaded the latest TrackR version to see if the app has gotten any better. It hasn't. Bluetooth pairing remains unreliable; About half of my Trackrs were detected by my phone. However, one device that never showed up in my phone app kept sending BlueTooth sharing requests, producing a popup every few minutes for days. Eventually I retrieved it from my bag and threw it out. When trying to find devices that did pair, the alarm tone produced by the device is nearly inaudible. It seems that these cannot be heard when they are *inside* something, which was kind of my plan. Useless junk that fails in multiple ways.

This is one of the best trackers in have found. I love that you can change the battery yourself without having to send it back to the manufacturer. it works well. It has a sturdy little strap to use to tie to your device or you key ring. I love that it will ring, make a sound when your tagged device is left behind. This feature can be turned off since it was distracting when my tagged keys were by the door and me and the phone were in the other room. I like the crowd feature which helps others.

Mik. S. Nov 2, 2018

I bought a 3-pack. As an experiment, I linked one to my phone and gave it to a friend to see how long it would take to be crowd-found. It's been out and about in Johannesburg for some weeks now and it hasn't been crowd-located. I guess just not enough other users. So Trackr is great if you lose your keys somewhere in your living room, but not so great if you lose stuff properly!

the app almost does what it should, but i get stuck at the starting chat screen forever. they don't provide a phone or email to contact them either. the battery in one of my devices died after about 2 weeks and the order form in the app didn't work. the device also keeps falling apart. I'd sell them but i don't think they are worth $5 at this point.

Sto. 1. Oct 30, 2020

Not worth the time. The app is incredibly clunky and only works part of the time. The batteries on the trakrs themselves run out constantly so it adds a new chore for your to do list. And if you don't keep up with the batteries then of course when you need to use the app they trakrs don't work. Good thought. Poor execution.

Ron. R. Sep 13, 2019

The app for the devices has a bug that does not allow one to reset the free battery replacement quantity to 1. The "x" to change or erase my incidental quantity of 6 does nothing. So after attempting to order the free battery replacement a few times and expecting different results after clearing the apps cache), it keeps adding one more battery to the total, then quickly tells you that only one is allowed, then after "okay" back to the same order screen with the ineffective 'x' that does nothing to adjust quantity. Then I tried ordering online from their site, with my desktop. It allowed me to order one battery, but unlike the app that claims to remove shipping charges before payment, it would have charged me $1.99 shipping, which is about the cost of a CR2016 lithium cell anywhere. The "Chat feature does not work and if my email get's no response from support, I'll be tempted to take off more stars. Meh was blowing them out a month ago at 4 for $5. Now I know why.

As of today, my TrackR works extremely well with my phone. As I leave this review, I will check out the update of the app and come back to update my review if needed. As of now, I give 4 stars because the separation distance from the trackR and the phone is very short. Your trackR literally has to be right beside your phone for it not to go off. Distance of separation alerts should be lengthier. My alerts are going off as I type. I activated this about 2 days ago and I have 210 separation alerts. Definitely have to deactivate the separation alerts but other than that, great app and device.
