Was great, now constant "no internet connection" issues. It regularly tells me I have no internet when at home using the same WiFi as the tags and I've always used. All other apps on my phone work fine. This may seem a small issue (when at home I can see my dogs!) but it is frustrating to constantly see this. It's also affecting the widget which always used to be a really quick way to check all is OK. Would be great if this can be looked into. Before this recent problem the app was great.
Sketchy coverage. Even if app is within a foot of the tracker, it can't be found. Live updates don't work consistently. Can't trust the app to give reliable information. Trackers Can't find wireless networks next to the wireless router. Sounds on trackers are worthless. Waste of money. Full of frustration.
I've been using this ap for 3 years as I paid in advance for five years coverage with insurance. Recently I have had disappointing service. I have to keep uninstalling the ap and then reinstalling but that does no good. The map keeps freezing and then I get a message saying that 'tractive is not responding and asking if I want to close the ap or report the problem. I'm just about fed up with reporting the problem because I'm still getting bargain basement service from tractive.
Used for over 5 years, the first 3 were brilliant, but 2 years ago things began to go wrong. Initially used heavy duty tracker it developed signal problems. Support convinced us to change to latest version for better GPS etc. We purchased additional unit for new pup. Last 12 months been plagued with issues, dodgy power lead couplings, spotty coverage & battery life shorter and shorter! Contracted 5 years again really regretting it now, wifi weak, battery life short, charger clip useless!
Happy for most part, only issue is no GPS signal occasionally, which is frustrating when dogs have taken off and I don't know what direction in a rural area. Customer service great, they work to troubleshoot issues with updates and giving tips on how to fix.Only complaints are the sound feature is a terrible sound which caused my one dog severe trauma for awhile, DO NOT recommend using unless tracker is lost, which happened the other day and I found it in some brush, & power cords are too short!
I'm that crazy cat lady and this has been the best purchase I've ever made for my pet - aside from food and such of course. Been using this product for over a year now and I have always loved it.. But I have even seen improvements over the year! I love this service. The accuracy is great, the battery life is amazing.. Especially with the wifi power saving mode. Sometimes I only need to charge every 2 days! This gives me peace of mind and so long as this product exists, I will be paying for it!
There is much more to this than they advertise. Easy to use and set up. I am still Learning the additional things this Tracker can do. I have it on my Husky who travels up to a mile from the house and this shows everywhere he has been. I was skeptical of the mount design, but it has proven itself as he likes to wrestle with a neighborhood dog and its secure. I am not concerned about how often it needs charging because it shows how much charge is left on the app. I charge it once a week .
I totally recommend this for all pet owners!!!! I lost a cat and it was so tragic, I spent endless days, nights and money to try and find him. Not ever knowing what happened to my kitty will haunt me forever. This time with my new kitty that I got from the shelter, I wanted to be able to know where he is, especially if I'm at work or running errands and not home with him. I don't want to keep him locked up inside, it's not natural, cats need territory and exercise. This tracker is a life saver!
Love it the only reason not 5 stars Is the fact that the tone is a high pitch hard to hear tone you're tired instead of that it works very well you can set up 2 plus perimeter fencings and you get notifications when they leave the parameter fencing the only thing I would change on the whole thing is I would have the tone more like a training caller beep versus whatever that noise is
Worth its weight in gold!! peace of mind when you can't find your cat or wondering where he goes. It has helped us worryworts more than once. love the feature of direction arrow and how many feet away...directs you right to them. my only complaint is when he is within our wifi zone, the Find mode rarely works but doesn't matter as I know he's here.
Have had this for over a year and it keeps getting better. The battery saving updates they incorporated into the app is such a help. Before the tracker would only last a day or two at best, now it's three or four, which imo is great. we have a great pyranese who likes to wander and without this we would've lost him for sure.
Default history period of 24 hours mixes yesterdays activities with todays. should be able to set default to shorter period. local league tables should be relevant 20 miles max. tables should include total distance as a filter. my cat goes miles in a short time each day.
Comments: Slow or no customer service. Inaccurate and/or useless customer service. Rude and passive agressive customer service. not customer friendly/focucustomer service. Faulty products sold. No Wifi and/GPS connection of device (mobile works fine). LOST PETS! TOO big to be marketed to cats and small dogs. Unclear and to much fine print about the (for many) surprise subscription. Customers feeling duped and cheated after buying the tracker for their pets. What an embarrassing company! 🤑🤮
My first 5 minutes: I signed in for the basic monthly plan, after saying NO to close to a hundred desperate attempts at having me choosing a premium one, and while testing the interface on the web, I clicked on "sound on". It quickly said it couldn't do it, but it wasn't true as the device started beeping like crazy. And since the interface said the sound was OFF, I couldn't turn it off for real for roughly 10 minutes. The worse 10 minutes ever, at almost midnight, in a tiny apartment with this **** device that while it has a button ON THE DEVICE, that could be used to STOP THAT, there was no way to actually turn it off. I finally succeeded after many tries using the mobile app. The entire system feels really half baked. The device's charger is a **** joke. It's like a gigantic finicky clip that touches on the charging contacts. I bet a highschool student could have designed something more solid.
