Whether you are preparing for your daily commute or about to head out on a road trip, Traffic Spotter gives you the most complete report of current traffic, road, and weather conditions at your current location as well as at your destination. You can have Traffic Spotter follow you via GPS as you drive, so you can always see what may lie on the road ahead.
In this application, you will gain access to features such as:
-International Traffic Flow and Incidents:
Avoid heavy traffic congestion by knowing where the slowest parts of your route are. Community spotters provide incident reports that can help you avoid dangerous road and weather conditions such as accidents, pot holes, ponding roads, and more.
If you travel during off-peak hours, non-community traffic providers also report various incidents including road closures, road construction, and miscellaneous events.
-Community traffic spotters:
Traffic Spotter is a community driven resource. You can become a spotter and help other travelers plan their route around traffic or dangerous conditions you have encountered. If you spot an event such as an accident or heavy traffic, you can report it for other travelers to see. If you encounter an event that has already been spotted, or has expired, you can confirm or dismiss that event.
-Headlines:
A series of headlines will give you a general summary of what is occurring around your location. Headlines include information regarding any events spotted nearby, any severe weather alerts issued for the area, road weather conditions, warnings, and more.
-Road Conditions:
Traffic Spotter provides a Road Conditions feature, which allows you to find which roads are likely to be icy, foggy, snowy, windy, or ponding approximately within the next three hours. Road Conditions currently covers the United States of America.
-Weather Radar:
Know if severe weather will impact your travel. Weather Radar lets you know where rain or snow storms may be looming in your vicinity. Weather Radar currently covers the United States of America including Hawaii.
-Weather Station:
Weather Station allows you to get the current temperature, visibility, wind speeds, and more for the location you are viewing. Weather Station is always on the lookout for active weather alerts as well. If any alerts are issued, you will be able to get a detailed description about the alerts and their impact area. Weather Station reports are available world-wide. Weather alerts are currently available for the United States of America.

As a truck driver I rely heavily on traffic apps. I used INRIX, and when they decommissioned that app I was in need of one that was just as accurate. I have found that with Spotter. There are several drivers I work with that have also switched. The only thing I would like to see changed is the size of the icons that indicate issues such as wrecks, construction, etc. These are a little large and cover the area a little more than I think they should. Other than that, I'm happy with the app. Thanks
i like this app, it shows current weather alerts and where traffic is heavy or light. It also shows road closures where they are working. The only thing I wish it had was road closures to special events, but since its not specific to one state or city, that is understandable. Please add that in, thank you.
Like your most " critical reviewer", default radius is too small. It would be great if this app had a setting for each user to pick (opening app) their default radius such as 250 miles for me (Big picture). But someone else may want default to be example 25 miles (metro picture). If that feature was integrated into app I would change rating to 5 star .
Updates traffic incidents quickly. Good information. Graphics not great. Details on traffic Incidents do not display well in car - lines overlap each other. Display properly on phone. Good, enormously helpful app.
Updated: I just can't use this app simply because it will not stay in the area you're looking at, otherwise it would probably be a great app. I have to agree with another review that it doesn't stay zoomed out or in when you are wanting to get information from an area ahead of you.
Now I have maps. It wanted an invisible license signed. I don't know how I got it, but it showed up and I signed it. So far, maps will not load. I can't use the app. It works fine on my computer and claims it is installed on my Samsung phone Still, no maps.
Not a bad looking app, but ads are very obtrusive (always at top of screen). And no way to pay to disable them. I prefer Waze's that only show while you're waiting at a stop light for a short time.
Accurate on traffic congestion saved me going into a traffic jam. Would be very good if you could put an address in and it would give you alternative routes. I'm guessing a pro version might be in the makings to do just that?
This app is great but the one thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is the fact that I can't search for a specific area. Like if I want to go to another area in my state, I can't find it or search for it. Please fix this. Other than that one flaw, it is a great app and I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to know local road conditions.
Installed Traffic Spotter a week ago and have tried it several times since then. Very pleased with the content and accuracy of the app, will keep this one on, well done team.
Map was high quality but the only downside is that it is difficult to delete an accidental report. I would give a five star rating if deleting accidental reports was easier. It tells if a report is dismissed but takes a few minutes for the icon to disappear from the map.
OK for weather and traffic. Useless for road closures and road work. Does not indicate where road is closed, just looks like slow heavy traffic with the dark red and only notification is slippery roads due to rain.
I had a Colorado DOT app, but all of a sudden it stopped working on my Pixel 2. This app works perfectly. Thank you for writing the perfect replacement app!
This app always tells when traffic is fast or slow, does pretty good as a GPS does when displaying traffic delays, movements, etc. Best app to download!
App updates well, easily used, and gives lots of useful info. Also you are able to add your own updates simply.
Does not show enough of the traffic far ahead so you can avoid by rerouting. Only shows the traffic that's a mile to a head but by the time you realize that you already stuck in the traffic jam.
I like this app cuz it easily gets to what I want... traffic. My previous app changed and I didn't like the new format at all. So glad I found this one!

Usually pretty good info... finds things not listed on some GPS units.. overall like the setup and info I can get from it

After download and install it requested many permissions which i didnt think necessary suvh as my files and photos. I denied these and app crashed so i uninstalled.
I drive truck for a living. I love this app. at the end of a long day when I just want to get home I can look at it and see where the heavy traffic spots are and it is always right.
I am absolutely amazed as to how well this app works. It has saved me so much time avoiding traffic snarls in that it provides (very) accurate, real-time conditions that help me plan my daily routes to and from work and other destinations. The graphics are very effective, and navigation is also easy to comprehend. If you drive ANYWHERE, this app needs to be on your mobile device!
