The app and workouts are awesome. Every easy for a new rider to use or I should say especially for a new rider. Not only is the program amazing, the HUGE knowledge base of podcasts just boggles the mind. I didn't know how much I didn't know to even consider.
Moved from the Z one, the app is technically rock solid - the training plans walk an incredibly thing line of feeling structured and designed while also responding to your performance and goals. I don't know what have a real coach is like but this must be as close as you can get with software.
Fantastic app for guided training. Great plans and adaptive training is a game changer! The plans adjust as your fitness changes. Hands down the training program to use if you're training for a goal or just want to get faster.
The best of the indoor training apps with excellent customer service and support. Progressive structured training is far more focused, specific and incremental than the plans on Zwift. The calendar interface is ezcellent and allows workouts to be planned around the rest of your life. Much better power usage when running from battery than something like zwift. Theres a few minor bugs here and there, these dont effect training quality and the support is great and very fast.
TrainerRoad is great for me. No frills. Just a very wide array of workouts and training plans with good instruction. Very flexible. Very solid.
Busy life with a family. I was looking to jump start my training (low volume) without researching too much. TrainerRoad did the trick. 255 up to 289 in 4 months and feeling stronger after each workout. I plan to continue over the summer instead of shifting all efforts outdoors.
Love this app. I use it for the stats and throw some music on or watch TV. Out of all the other biking apps I've tried, it runs the smoothest and I had no problems getting it set up. It's perfect for riding indoors and staying in shape.
Fabulous guidance, tailored specific to your goals. Holds you to a high stabdard of consistency but has Ride Now option in case you need more flexibility.
Not only is their program top notch, but their customer service is amazing. They truly care about each athlete and it shows. Not to mention the wealth of knowledge they share via blogs, podcasts, and social media. The customization for programs and progress works.
Great workout plans. Reliable setup. No visual fuzz like other similar programs.
Great cycle training app. Simple display for workouts. The workouts adapt as you progress. Love it.
Fantastic app and platform. Great training plan the gives a time crunched cyclist the tools to adjust as needed and be successful!
Love the product. Want to rate it a 5 star. But it crashes on my phone and chromebook occasionally. Also have had issues with workouts not properly syncing. Can't rate it higher until these issues are resolved.
Simply the best. The most motivational cycling app. Super calendar to organise training around the rest of my life. Workouts that adapt to my abilities as I develop. Accompanied by the entertainment that I choose (that means no tedious videos or boring animations.). Can't wait for the AI FTP setting - no more ramp tests. Yay 😅
I have taken two FTP tests since the FTP AI release and haven't seen a prompt to use the auto detected feature yet...
Best cycling training program. If you want to get better on the bike don't go anywhere else, all you need is TrainerRoad!
No nonsense training without social, look at me, attention. Solid unlimited power based workouts with pedal technique practices to get you fit for any event. That is where training counts.
Love TrainerRoad for all my training. I've had it for at least 5 years and it just keeps getting better. It is such a powerful tool for keeping in great shape.
This experience becoming horrible. In the middle of a workout the power dissapears, From there on..connecting or doing a other workout does not read true power value nor reset it from workout..Restarting all device still!! POOR
love trainerroad, have tried Zwift and Sufferfest and overall, definitely my preferred.
Best Training App easily. I've strayed here and there, but I've always come back to Trainerroad. I doubt I'll leave it again. It's straight forward, well laid out, easy to use, basic looking (which is a complement, not a fan of the colourful look), really good plans, and most importantly, it works. The long and short of it is, do the plans and you will get strong.
The app is really bad. Crashes in the middle of a workout much too often, and is also very sluggish and unresponsive when using it. Often have to press multiple times for a touch to be registered, which is virtually impossible while working out. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. However, the workouts, which are not related to the app, are good. The only thing keeping me from giving the app 2 stars.
Fantastic app for any athlete looking to improve their cycling performance! From the individual workouts to full training plans, everything is very well thought out and easy to use. The Calendar feature has been great and is flexible enough to accommodate varying schedules. I couldn't recommend this app, as well as the crew behind it, highly enough. Check out their podcast too - highly educational and entertaining! Keep up the great work guys!
The app is really great (just like any other thing TR get their hands on). Large selection of workouts and plans, as well as the calendar feature. Also, it finds and connects to the trainer easily which was a problem with the trainer manufacturer's app. The only thing that I noticed is that TR wouldn't run in the background and ends the workout but that could be just an issue with my phone.
No fancy graphics, this app is doing one thing and it's doing it extremely well, allowing you to follow structured workouts on your home trainer. My devices were recognized out of the box, and the workouts are very rich. For now I've followed a base plan for 6 weeks and already seen massive improvements in terms of fitness. Initial loading is a bit slow because there's a lot of data to fetch and sometimes bluetooth can have hiccups, it's best to restart the phone if that happens
