Transit Tracks: Chicago CTA

The app is okay the only thing is that it's missing some other stops on most or some routes I don't know how many. Otherwise, the app is being rated 4/5 stars for me. The 126 is missing some stops going eastbound and I guess the problem is some stops not showing the buses pulling up and 2 routes like the 132 Goose Island Express and 205 Chicago/Golf are discontinued. It is still 4 stars for me.

This used to be my go-to tracker before lockdown, but it's been wildly inaccurate ever since—upending my travel plans and leaving me scrambling for an alternative more than once because it claims buses or trains are coming that never do. These issues are appearing with both modes and across multiple routes. Makes you wonder where arrival data is even coming from that's causing it to be so consistently incorrect.

Works pretty great. If you're in a route and you click where is says the the time (example 2 min)twice , it'll tell you all the stops on that bus or train even past yours. That's a cool feature because you can tell appx how far away you are from your actual destination if you scroll to it.

Inconsistent. It doesn't show you accurate times for bus arrivals. I was at work checking to see if my bus would be arriving as I'm leaving. The app didn't have any buses on route...at all. So I leave work and check again, it says 28 minutes away. I walk slow to kill a lot of time. I get almost to the corner where the bus would turn. I see one ahead, turning and I miss it. My walk was 7 minutes. Aside from the 28 minute bus, there was one that came before that one. IT DIDN'T SHOW UP ON THE APP!

The app gets stuck if you have it running in the background. I have to close it and reopen it every single time. I have 5G and its definitely not my phone causing this. Also, no maps is a huge bummer.

This is a very good app. It gives good accurate pin point 'times of when the bus or el is coming when you need to know when yourbus or train is coming. Always accurate. Now, it's up to your bus or train if they're on time. Their schedule is. But the bus or train needs to be o time. Which, so far it's been 100% on time with me!!!!

I use this every day, If you take the CTA download this app you will never miss another bus again. We all know how frustrating that can be. It's the first app on my phone.

I like the way you can instantly change directions on the route of bus or train. Much better than CTA Tracker. Timing updates accurately and everything is fine with this app.

Majority of the time it's pretty much on point then u get those days where it's totally off wack and isn't correct at all for instance when the bus is behind it'll keep saying the same amount of min then boom it'll switch to a totally different amount of min like from 5min it'll be there to 45min it'll be there that's when it be blowing the shot outta me and making me wanna complain to someone lbvs

Waited inside for a bus because it was cold. Waited 10 minutes for a bus 15 min away. App still said it was 11 min away. Looked up and the bus went by... Next one wasn't for another 15min. This time I waited in the cold. This is VERY typical for this app. It is never accurate.

Generally good for finding buses that are actually coming but it's missing some stops (eg California and armitage on route 94). Google maps and cta's text line both have the stop.

Inaccurate cta bus times for overnight busses like bus 22. It doesn't show any times if the bus is coming after 20+ minutes. But the new Ventra app shows the time(s) and it's be accurate everytime I used it overnight

This is the best app if you trying to catch a bus or el/train in Chicago it always updates you if something wrong with the line or if. A bus is late or early but sometimes it fails to tell the correct time for the bus.

Very much appreciated you are a good source of transportation, only one concern if you are waiting for service late at night, you have to arrive earlier than normal because traffic is light and busses can be somewhat early. Thank you ❤️

Not something you can rely on since 2018...... UPDATE PLEASE !! IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE LAST UPDATE..2018....Great app, but..needs a New update PLEASE.... PLEASE......more then once in 3 years if possible?... Thank you !

What would I do without my Transit Tracker?? This app is all you need to utilize public transportation in Chicago & surrounding areas. Use it, guaranteed to getcha where your going!!!

Would be 5 stars, but my phone upgraded to Android 10, and now it's telling me that it might not work right. If you upgrade, you get that additional star.

This is a very useful app not just for busses but for trains it gives you real time arrivals only problem is the western ave route it tells you in real time the 49 bus is coming but it doesnt tell you if its 49 or x49 there are 2 types of 49 bus on western ave it be nice if you could up date the app with real time info on x49 bus on western ave thanks.

Whemever i go someplace i like this app because it gives me the time of when a bus or train is coming. I love it because it helps me plan when I am going somewhere so I can get there on time.

This app is a p.o.s. It told me bus was coming in 3 min and it was raining and it never came. It just stayed on 3 min for 10 min till another timer popped up and said 20 min with the three still on there. yes I was soaked when the bus finally came. p.o.s app

This app is highly inaccurate. It does not provide actual real time arrivals and departures.

Why is the yellow line not showing up for 3 days now? App has gotten worse and worse...
