Worst from the 3 major services. Most expensive with the worst app. I am only using because I am being forced to by a store I want to get a credit card from. Got credit denied because I just moved and they couldn't confirm my address, call them to see what happened, they gave me the correct address but when I go to the app I still see my old address only. Bad service!
Sloppy app...theres no real order to your information and reports. The tools available are basic and behind the curve. Plus the cost benefit does not match what you get...can only refresh all three credit reports every 3 months??? Not helpful at all.
All I wanted was the ability to see my transunion score straight from the source. Equifax and Experian both offer a free version to see just their reports why not transunion. I will not pay for something that is not accurate. I find companies that combine all 3 of the companies dont update as often as then should so why would I pay for that!!!
The credit score shown in app and via the site, even when you have the paid subscription, is vastly different. TransUnion reported to a financial institution that my score was 93 points lower than what the app is telling me. Very poor service!
This is a paid app and they never update it. It lacks features and it doesn't even have biometric login support. You have to type your password everytime. For something I'm paying for (especially) I would like better.
I am so grateful to TransUnion for it's accurate reporting of my scores. Experian and Equifax both report that I have no scores or history and make it very difficult to correct their errors, and continue to increase the difficulty with which I am left in limbo. All the result of one Bank mistakenly reporting 4 months of activity as the total charges, being double my limit, charged to month 1 and the following three as zero. Opposed to the reality of 33% of limit for 4months. Thanks TransUnion
I have a paid membership with this credit bureau and also Experian. I don't understand why the scores aren't matching. Experian shows my scores way higher than Transunion and information via Experian seems to be more updated than Transunion. I'm thinking about canceling my membership with Transunion as information is always a month old and not current as with Experian.
Every time I try to get correct credit score unfortunately it hasn't been updated since March &&when I compare with other 2 agencies, transunion is not keeping right credit score, is very disappointing as consumer.
I am not going to put any stars on Transunion because I do believe they have made a huge mistake with my credit which is costing thousands extra I shouldn't have to pay. At one time my credit was 640 and I applied for credit and Transunion sent my score over as 406 so I was denied. I contacted Transunion and they wouldnt even look at my credit at all! Now my Experian is 710, Equifax 690 and Transunion 637. How? TU says I missed a payment recently but I never missed any payments EVER!!!!!
I paid my money and never can get into the app. Can't even change password because it says my information is wrong don't download you'll regret it now I have to cancel payment so I'm not paying for something I can't use. Big scam
It's not allowing you to see details of what they have on file on you which is very frustrating and when you tried to dispute something the system is always erroring out also It's not giving you your accurate credit score
As a paying member for years, this service and product was great. Now, the website and app functionality is not working properly (specifically, the TU credit lock function) and after calling eight different numbers and spending hours on the phone, no one at TU is able to fix it. They keep pointing the finger at other departments; just running me around in circles. If I cannot get what I am paying for, then there is no longer a reason to keep paying for and using TU products. Very frustrating.
There's is lot of improvement needed. Especially on the security and usability front. There is no two factor auth. There are no options for enabling biometrics, have to key in the password everytime. Also once logged in I see a button to refresh my report if I hadn't logged in for a while. Why would anyone want to see their old score? I would want to see my latest score right when I login. It shouldn't be a choice. Credit compass is a useless feature. My score never increased based on that.
At first, it worked great. Now every time I try to view my accounts it won't load and freezes or crashes. I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it, force stopped it, cleared the cache and the storage and nothing is helping. There aren't any updates for it to maybe fix whatever is causing the issue that I've seen anywhere. This has been happening for ab 3 weeks now.
I feel cheated out of my money! First off this app is not free. After downloading it and installing it which is and was the only part that worked. I checked my score which was at least accurate but than I started to notice issues. My personal information was mostly correct but my employment was 14 years behind! The credit compass did not work and and the app is hard to navigate. Ok let's move on, the app has very little information on credit and your accounts. This app is terrible, don't buy!
I have the myTransUnion app that uses to let me freeze and unfreeze my credit. I think they abandoned that app. Now, I can't log in to this app with my same credentials that work on their website. They want you to pay for access. With all of the security beaches in the past years, I think credit companies should have a free, easy way to freeze and unfreeze credit.
I purchased this app for the credit lock after the Equifax breach. The features are great, but I have a few complaints surrounding login and security: 1) Recently when I tried to login I hit a Java exception resulting in a login failure. 2) In an attempt to resolve issue (1) I updated the app, but now, while it allows me to log in, it no longer saves my credentials (as it did previously). So every time I want to log in I need to re-enter my password. 3) Neither the website or the app support two-factor authentication, which is unusual for a finance app like this. Ideally would like to see support for both SMS and authenticator apps at some point.
This app feels like it could use a serious overhaul. We're now in 2021 headed for 2022 and I still have to manually put in a password everytime to login. Not that that's a bad thing, however, giving options up front like a finger print sign in would be an awesome /much welcomed change. The website itself on my laptop was a little wonky too as it was asking for payment info again after providing it for billing purposes. Itasked if my home and billing addresses were different, which I replied no.
The app is fine and functional. I would assume that the score they show you on the app would match their score given when all the bureaus are pulled simultaneously. There is a 59 point difference for me currently. That is misleading and counterproductive. Not to mention I am paying for a service that shows me one thing and reports another without an explanation. Very disappointing.
Your web page is not user friendly. I can't print my report even though it says to click here to do so. There's nothing to click. So far, it just shows my score is going down, down without explanation.
This app and the experience with it makes me wish I could click yes on all of the comments below mine becauase all of them did help me when they talk about hpw unpleasant it is using this piece of app. The app development team must be lesser evolved because they wouldnt understand the concept of a good application dev if it hit em in the face. 1 star and boo to you.
I can not update personal info, has the wrong addresses, and that I don't have an employer. All these credit reporting agencies are a scam and total bull. It's totally unreasonable and unrealistic
Simply tells me login is wrong (I just signed in via the browser fine) and resetting the password shows "invalid credentials"? Seriously amateur developers here!
App crashes, nor is it reporting accurate up to date information. If it's going to be a paid service it needs to report what the banks sees! Horrible App and waste of $19.99.
This app REALLY needs some work. Every time I attempt to log on to the app it says my credentials are invalid. So I go thru all the motions, change my password, the app says it was successfully changed. Then I try to log on again and get the same message... that my credentials are invalid. I know my user name is valid. Always, right after I'm denied access through the app I can use those same credentials (and new password) to log on to the desk top website.
They did nothing other than pushing secured or costly credit. There was absolutely nothing done about improving my credit score, even though there were two entries on my record that they could have challenged. When I asked that my monthly deduction be ended, I got a lengthy run around. After talking to three different people in two different countries, I think that they finally relented. I will see if they actually follow through.
Credit Lock Plus stopped working in both Windows laptop and my Android cellphone since November last year. I have spoken with customer service many times and the answer is always the same, that they are working on a solution and it will be available soon.......9 months later, I'm ready to give it a name to the new born, this service is still down. Unaceptable situation for a company that should be reliable and true on all its services and platforms.
Very unpleasant experience, the app is very raw and a lot of work needs to be done before it's usable. $20 subscription makes it look even worse. I have to enter password manually every time, for example - no biometric login, not even a saved password. "Remember me" check box does nothing. Super annoying. The page where I enter my income is a disaster, plain and simple. I had to jump through hoops to enter my numbers. It would just keep adding zeros after comma instead of increasing the number.
