Super convenient for spot-checking credit activity and love that there is no extra charge for basic Credit Lock. Experian is charging $10.82 (tax included) per month for just the basic service with no extras. Someone trying to clean up a bad credit score probably does not need an extra monthly payment for a very basic service. Thank you for your help!

It simply doesn't work. I've reinstalled twice and every time I swipe to lock my credit I receive the same message "Please try again later". When I log into the website it shows my credit "locked" and I can easily lock or unlock from there, which defeats the purpose of having the app. Would really like to see this fixed. I have the other two credit bureaus apps installed and I can use them to lock and unlock perfectly.

A waste of time as it doesn't seem to have any free info compared to most other apps. It also does not update any info until you attempt to check it out. Then you have to watch the spinning circle for 10 minutes or more while it updates. Still a huge waste of time. Uninstalling useless app.

On my computer, it insists that I sign in with a user ID which isn't mine. When I try to enter my real ID, it automatically changes it to the incorrect ID. Therefore, I can't log in. When I therefore try to change my credentials, it sends me a confirmation code, but doesn't accept the code. It does let me sign in on my phone. At least, it seems to. However, it doesn't give me useful information. Also, it has my employer wrong but provides no way for me to correct that.

This app definitely needs serious work. The same user ID and password I use to log on to the full website is shown as invalid on this app. I don't have that problem with apps belonging to the other two credit reporting agencies. I'm deleting the app until it's fixed. It's just not worth the hassle to try to.use it as it now is.

I tried to use this app to unlock my account, but I couldn't do it through the app. I accessed and unlocked it through the web page. I think the main point to have the app is an ability to lock and unlock easily. My phone is Google pixel 3 XL, Android 10 with the latest update. Thank you!

this TransUnion TrueIdentity app is so easy to use. the credit report info is so simply provided to you. NOTE: if you already have a freeze on your transunion account, then therefore you cannot do the LOCK in this app. instead get the other myTransUnion app and completely remove (not just temporarily lift) the freeze via that other app, and then you can LOCK via this app. or just forget the lock, and manage the freeze in the other app. also note your login is different between the two apps.

The app shows the consumer credit file with listing of all accounts, public records and credit inquiries. However, I am not sure if the app fetches the latest data and shows the most current information every time I sign in. There is not a date of when the report was pulled.

Okay I really love this, esp for the fact that it's virtually free protection and they cover you for $25,000. All you pay is a few periodic emails that periodically appear in your in-box. The prime caviar that drops it by 1 star, in my assessment, is the fact that the temporary unlock required me to permanently removing the lock, which I had to do while driving, which meant by phone. The other negative issue was by imposing the lock, my credit score permanently dropped!!! Even after removal!

The app works fine for everything, except for unlocking your report, as it won't let me drag the bar all they way to the left haha. I logged onto the website and was able to unlock it though. So when that is fixed I'll update my review.

Swipe to lock doesn't work because the swipe is too short and doesn't register before my finger gets to the edge of the screen. Why swipe? Make it a tap to lock/unlock. Hope that this gets fixed soon.

Is there an updated version compatible with my phone? I have a Samsung Galaxy S8, weird thing is I can log into it on the web, but it's not on my phone Play is saying it's not a compatible device, I'm unable to locate the app if it is one my phone. some how can we get it detached from what ever phone it might have been installed on?

I wanted to lock my credit cards and block anyone from viewing my account without my permission and that's exactly what happened. When I applied for a credit card they couldn't approve me because I had placed a block on my accounts. So this served my purpose and if this is the service you also need I highly recommend it.

app keeps crashing, doesn't support fingerprint authentication, creates two shortcuts. it really should be discontinued until its able to do what it is supposed to.

Love this app so easy to use and very convenient. Just open the app and lock or unlocked your credit is that easy. You also get alerts when someone used your credit for anything. Love it

the only think that is worth getting this app is that you can lock your credit report. nothing else works unless you pay for a subscription. you can't even see your score without paying them!!!!!

I tried signing in to the Trueidentity app using my online Trueidentity username and password , but it didn't work . I had to sign up again in the app . I was given a free Trueidentity membership from Capital One because of the Capital One security breach. Why was I not able to sign in using my online username and password ?

Pretty worthless. Used to work great for locking/unlocking my credit report. No longer works at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled just now. If it starts working again, I'll update my review. Ugh....

App does the job. Easy to lock/unlock credit information access. They need to have better password manager integration. Dark mode sorry would also be nice

Very bad app. Doesn't work half the time and creates two icons on your phone. Very poor programming on their part.

Something is wrong with the lock swipe function on some phones. It does not work on my SG7. Problem fixed in latest update.

Crashes every time you try to open it. Also, it installed two app icons. Sadly, neither works.

Poorly designed app. No fingerprint login, always have to type in the password. Lock your report or unlock your report, it will never send you an email/text confirmation.

I was planning to but a motorcycle today. I unlocked my credit this morning. The shop was closed due to COVID-19 do I locked again within hours. This is a very convenient app. I'm grateful to TransUnion for making protecting credit so easy.

$20 a month for less than what Experian offers for $5 a month. It's my info they want to charge me for access to. TransUnion is the worst of the 3 credit bureaus.

Very difficult to lock and unlock. I will be uninstalling app if it's not improved to make it easier for locking and unlocking
