If you try to search for a lodge near to your chosen place, if you go about it the "wrong" way, it finds nothing. Do it via the right route and it gives you a choice. Use the date you want and it works when you look at the first one, but when you go to look at the other choices the date resets to today. Any other variables get reset each time. So it's irritating, time consuming, frustrating, but it works eventually, albeit never how you would want it to.
Good app when it works, but that's only about 50% of the time. Freezes a lot of the time, or payment can't be completed. Have to go to website to book - so hardly helpful! At best a shabby app, dated and badly maintained - much like many of the Travelodge Hotels. You could sort this out so easily Travelodge, just like you could put a lick of paint in the corridors and replace the carpets, but you don't.
Dreadful. Has anyone at Travelodge actually ever tried to use their own app? It logs you out if you even take a breath while using it, there's no fingerprint logon so you have to tediously type everything in every single time. And it's almost impossible to book a stay with it because random windows duplicate themselves all over the place. It's a great advert for Premier Inn!
I've used this app for some years and although it's not that easy, I've always been able to book! In Dec 2021 I tried and tried. Waited for ages for the system to recognise me after I'd entered correct log in details!I No luckI I uninstalled the app and then reinstalled. It still didn't work. So I booked via google. That's why I rate it at 1 *. Wise up Travelodge!! Sort it out. It's how you sell rooms!!!
This app is random, irrational, iratic and so frustrating. It does not remember my username and password, it does not remember any details I have entered. It is very unforgiving when an error has been entered. Oh..and the really good deals seem to disappear with regular monotony. The app is so unfriendly.
Travelodge have clearly given up on this app - last update was 2016 despite all the negative reviews here! UPDATE Feb 2020: Downgraded from 3 stars to 2. The experience with the app has got even worse in the last month or so. Constant unforced logouts. Constant input wipes. Constant resets. This app is in desperate need of professional attention - but for some strange reason Travelodge doesn't want to bother. UPDATE MAR 2022: Downgraded to 1 star. Issues I reported YEARS ago still not fixed.
Frustrating app. It doesn't always recognise me being logged in. When I am in I'm unable to amend a booking, nothing happens when I click the booking. Then after trying several times I get "unexpected error" Come on Travelodge up your game. Sorry but it makes me give up and book a Premier Inn as their website just works.
Latest update requires login each time! They've broken the app, which I've used for years seamlessly to book rooms. Now, each time I run the app a blue popup box appears saying "we are having trouble identifying you... blah blah". I then login and it's ok. But next time I run the app it's forgotten the login. So, pretty useless ..
Worse than useless. First it tells me I am using the wrong password - but if I ignore the message, I can get to my bookings section. Then I find that it has no record of my bookings. So I then give up with the app and use a browser, with no login problems and a complete record of bookings
Poor show - this app is that frustrating to use, it is basically useless! Even the most basic of features don't work properly, including: - A search function doesn't work very well at all. - No ability to order the hotel list alphabetically.
Poor app as it is so full of bugs, trying to put in your address and card details just keeps coming up with errors. the app is at present a complete waste of time and travelodge need to completely re design it. A month later and they still have left it as it is, still completely unusable come on Travelodge get your act together your app is useless.
Absolute Rubbish. It is a good job that your rooms are much better than this app! You think that you are logged in, but it asks you to log in. I have had to use your website to book rooms, which therefore makes the app useless. I want to check my bookings in n the app and, guess what, no bookings! It is about time that you update the app and correct ALL the faults.
Terrible app - really not very user friendly. Found it didn't retain my login details although I created an account, search for place to stay took several attempts to work, after putting in my required details when I viewed the hotel info it threw me back to the search page so I had to start everything again. When I went to book it then failed to recognise me again! So ended up checking out as a guest.
Absolutely Terrible for an Android user. Drop downs all over the place, usually not allowing you to select anything but the first option. Impossible to book anything. Seriously, how can such a huge chain as Travelodge have such bad app developers? I seriously reckon a bunch of school kids learning code could rattle up something better than this. Travelodge should maybe revert back to an excel spreadsheet that is shared on SharePoint. It would be far better.
Absolute Useless App! Doesn't recognise my email address or password which is 100% correct (it works fine on laptop browser). Can't find my bookings. Doesn't load properly. Waste of time🙉
App won't let me login. I use exactly the same info on website and that is fine. I've tried to reset the password, app still won't let me login. I've tried to uninstall and then reinstall the app, still can't login. Really don't know why you'd have an app if you don't let your customers login to it!!!!
Unable to login, continually refuses to accept a correct password - how do I know it is correct? It works on your website... I even reset the password and still fails. 0/10 if the app can't be used Reading other reviews shows it is not only me. The lack of response from Travelodge is deafening too
Be careful with this app. If you are searching an area, the date resets to today's date. The app does not hold the data you have already set. It becomes expensive as customer service use it as a way of increasing income. Very disappointed.
Dunno what's happened to this app. I used to use it fairly often, but after lockdown I came to use it again and it just doesn't work. After messing around a bit you can get to the point of booking, but then it won't let you. Even went to the website... you can search and find what you want to book, then it asks to login and when you do, it clears your search and you start all over again. So as long as I use the website and log in first, then I can finally make a booking. Please get this sorted.
Won't let me go past the "proceed to secure payment" button, no error message, no pop up, nothing... Its been like this for months, I normally book another hotel because its really annoying. I've reported the error many times and they just don't seem bothered. Well, me neither, I'll keep booking somewhere else!
I am so disappointed that this app has stopped working. Even after changing passwords, resetting passwords, checking I do not have more than one account..... I can no longer log in. Have uninstalled it until I see from the reviews that is working again. Before this year I never, ever had a problem with it.
Longstanding customer, have tried a few different hotels in areas of travel and although I found a little disappointing at one, all the others were great, clean, friendly.
Hotels are good but this app is the Worst app ever. Doesn't remember your logged in when paying. Search is terrible. Payment only works 50% of the time. Payment freezes. Poorly arranged screen. You have to log in several times. Truly Terrible
This app is really not good. It asks you to login again when you've just done it the previous page, it takes forever to load, and now I've just made a booking, and I landed on an error page even if the money was actually taken from my bank account! So no confirmation email, nothing, and the help section is of no use. Am I going to be able to get this booking approved, or a refund???? Bottom line : do not book through the app. Whatever the circumstances, just don't do it.
Travelodge should be ashamed for associating their brand with this app. It does not reperenst the quality of the hotels and the service they provide. The app is super bad, very low quality.
Worst app I've ever used. Repeatedly try to book, payment screen will not open. No pop up blocker on, not my connection, happened on three different people's phones. Do not see the point in this app at all
I have used the same Travelodge hotels for several years whilst going down and back to my family in London and my niece on the Isle of Wight, and find them always glad to see me, with being a disabled ex-servicemen whose getting quite old, and needing a break in long journeys. By using my Defence Discount Card I also get a room cheaper. The staff, even when covid was a problem, always willing to help me with my luggage.
The Hotels are great. I thoroughly recommend them. But this is the most useless, frustrating, app I have ever come across. It usually works. Eventually. But it's probably easier to book via the website. You can sign in 20 times and it'll want you to sign in again. Then it won't let you. It'll say your password (which you already signed in with) is wrong. You may have to put in your booking details several times before it'll accept your booking. Failure to rectify this is losing you customers.
