Indispensible since the paper is not printed on Mondays and Tuesdays, this app is pretty solid. Not all the images show reliably, and the comics are very funky from time to time. Otherwise, just fine.
TCRE is the WORST. If you are so inclined to read an article online, you are BOMBARDED by a zillion ads. Can't even use the app because they want a subscription. Look I get it. You gotta make money somehow. But if the Record Eagle were providing (substantial?) coverage on stories not already convered by Upnorthlive or 9&10 news, cool. But they're not so don't waste your time downloading the app. And Record Eagle? Your website is terrible, your app is terrible. Facebook is more informative.
Seems like it was designed by a boomer without any consideration for basic fundamental ux design. The app is pretty much unusable.
I'm learning to enjoy the e-edition on my phone. Eventhough I can access it on my laptop, it is easy to tap on the story and get a readable view
This is a safe, reliable daily newspaper app for the Traverse City Record Eagle, a local paper, which I read daily, and enjoy!
Constantly blanks out while reading. Only the ads survive.
Hard to negotiate ..(older people.). And sometimes doesn't function right...(or could that be ,",older people again"?? !!

Terrible. Have to activate digital access every time I open the app. Stories currently do not open. App freezes, screen goes black.

This app is clunky, about the paper's usual standard.
I read the paper on my phone. The app works okay, but crashes out sometimes when resizing pages. There is a text format option but there are often formatting issues. Some sections (obits, comics, classifieds) are difficult to navigate in the text format but because of the crashes, are hard to read in image format. The current version is a lot more usable, resizing is stable and the text format is easier to navigate.
Works great for reading. The interface is intuitive. Sharing is easy. Wish there was a way to zoom in on pictures or expand them to a larger size. Illustrations are often impossible to see on my tablet.
