Traxxas Link makes it easy to learn, understand, and access the powerful tuning options built into every Traxxas TQi radio system. Control your Drive Effect settings, such as steering and throttle sensitivity, steering percentage, braking strength, and throttle trim by simply touching and dragging the sliders on the screen or enabling the Multi-Function knob on the transmitter. You can also adjust Traxxas Stability Management in Drive Effects to suit your skill and driving style. With Traxxas Link, everything takes place live, on-the-fly, giving you instant feedback on the changes you are making. Once you have created the perfect control settings for your model, save them as a profile that you can restore later, or use on another model. If the driving conditions change, simply re-tune your Drive Effects and save them as a new profile.
Once you equip your model with Traxxas Link telemetry sensors (some models may have factory installed sensors), the Traxxas Link dashboard comes to life with stunning graphics to report speed, battery voltage, RPM, and temperature. Great app with all of the necessary features to customize a Traxxas vehicle's driving characteristics. I use it regularly to check on my batteries' remaining power, temperatures and other useful info.
App shuts down as soon as I click the Traxxas link wireless module button I have tried on multiple phones and tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck I have now wasted alot of money on various sensors, gps module, and link for it to not work.
It's very useful but they should let us customise the screen more like the dashboard and colors otherwise great!
Not good, couldn't get it to work. Keeps saying i need to update tsm and it tries multiple times but always fails. Not a good $40 spent. Until i get it to work
Fresh install on Samsung 21 Ultra. App opens fine but when following directions to click on wireless mod it crashes and goes back to home screen rendering it Useless.
S10 phone unistalled app as phone says theres a bug reinstalled done update on transmit and reciver. Hobbywing esc and now soon as complete the phone still says the app has a bug!
It crashes now after trying to connect Bluetooth it was perfect for years pls fix it. It's good when it works properly

The firmware update issue is ongoing with this updated version, only worse! I have an E-Revo VXL 2.0 with the GPS / telemetry upgrades. With the latest version 7 the app constantly reports that it needs to upgrade firmware. At least on the previous version if you disabled wi-fi / put in aeroplane mode etc, and only started the app after turning on the transmitter and car I could get it to work. On version 7 the work arounds don't work. So I uninstalled and downloaded the previous version. At least it has some functionality. The main problem with this version is that it doesn't automatically recognise the GPS speed input. The only way I can get it to work is to disable the ESC telemetry under options, but of course this means all of the ESC data disappears! So it is one or the other. Also when I record a session and export it doesn't export the GPS speed, only the ESC speed. When I contacted support they were very unhelpful. Basically said I'm stuck with it until an upgraded app appears. Well it did, but as detailed above, it's WORSE!!! It's a lot of money to pay for telemetry that basically is unusable. I like it, pretty cool stuff. I have been using it since 2012 and have not had an issue with anything, ever. Not sure what is happening with some of the comments here but most likely operator error. I have changed phone's several times and have just transferred to the new android base phone and still no issue. I do wish they would redo the docking base. I have 3 set up with with ipads and even they still work flawlessly today. Get yer head out people lololol....😉
The app keeps dropping out when it links , I want my money back!!! $100 for a gps and I can't use it because the app socks. I called tech they don't know just tell me to delete and reinstall. I'm switching transmitter and receiver out, to expensive and when you do pay their high prices it doesn't work.
Works but very inaccurate. I'm using an old Samsung Galaxy S5 running 6.0.1 and it works fine and accepted the latest update from 2/2019. I just use this to bash with my X-Maxx but the app is not reliable for MPH it ALWAYS shows a very generous MPH higher than the DigiHUD app I use. This app also loses the Bluetooth connection a lot. I suppose it's because the truck travels beyond the Bluetooth reception.
Fails to update firmware and won't allow use of truck without updating firmware. 3 days of trying and emailing with no solution or reply. I've tried everything to get this to work on my new X-Maxx 8s. Tried it with my Note 9, just failed everytime. Tried it with an older S6, failed every time. Feel like the £45 bluetooth module was just a waste of money. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app several times. New X-Maxx, New bluetooth module, newest phone available, good internet. Dissatisfied.
I can't link my Rustler VXL 4x4. I have a Galaxy Note 9. I restarted my phone, transmitter and ESC multiple times, no luck. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, no luck. I got my XO-1 out and set it up with zero problems. I pressed the "link" button on my XO-1 transmitter and it sync'd instantly. I think the transmitter for the Rustler is the problem.
Really annoying. Would be so much better if you did not have to apply outstanding firmware updates immediately but could do things like change the training mode settings without first having to wait for all firmware updates to download and apply. There are veey frequently firmware updates. It's super annoying.
Pretty good app, but considering the amount of money it takes to use all this stuff, I really wish you guys would add pictures for all the body options. Can't change Slash VXL picture at all. 79 Blazer is missing the black body... I'm sure there's more but that's just the vehicles I have.
Warning! Car will run wide open. There is an know issue with this app running on Android. When you go into garage, channel setup then either steering or throttle. The transmitter will not work and as soon as you back out of the channel setup screen and touch the throttle my Maxx went full throttle. Blowing out two rear tires and one of the tires beating the hell out of my arm as I was trying to disconnect the battery. Called Traxxas and they are aware of the issue on Android phones.
Overall it's not a bad app. I like the functionality with the light kits, and inclinometer displays when crawling, BUT it needs the option to reset the inclinometer. On a flat surface my Bronco 2021 thinks it's on a 30° side incline, and that is frustrating. Please add the ability to recalibrate.
It used to work on my xmaxx 8S. I got 2 new models last week for xmas (XO-1 & slash), neither one will update. I've tried Samsung phone, iPad, & iPhone, unistall/reinstall, no luck. Looks like they recently updated the app, maybe that's the problem? Not sure but I can't even run my XO-1 full power because you need the app to "unlock" it. Please fix Traxxas.
I've had the same issues with everyone in regards to updating. I've tried on a Google cell, Samsung cell and ASUS tablet. (Several weeks) But after many tries on my tablet I finally got it updated. Airplane mode on Wifi did it for me. But I haven't tried it on my XO-1 yet but after reading about wide open throttles and no control, I'm a little hesitant.
have 2 xmaxx's. both hooked up to old phone, broke phone. new phone only hooks up to one. trying to hook bluetooth module up for both. I have a galaxy 8, same as old phone. both hook up to my tablet fine. like to get both bluetooths back on one phone. the one xmaxx that does hook up I have to say it's a stampede vxl to get it to run right, as an xmaxx, half power forward, receiver red light blinking, change to stampede, ex light green, throttle great. got any remedy or knowledge, to help thanks
Update you app traxxas. Was stuck in update loop for an hour. I then realized what was happening. You need to fix app permissions. Ask for them at install. The app need storage permission or it cant download or verify the firmware downloads. And to others stuck in a loop manually enable storage and microphone permissions in the app properties. Once i got it to update it broke tsm until an update a year later to the transmitter that appears to fix it. The steering would start listing to the left
I thought it was nice until today. Turned it on after 2 tanks of fuel through the brand new revo 3.3. Instantly I lost all transmitter functionality, it said it had updates. Did the updates, still nothing. Called customer support, rang some bells pushed buttons and yanked on my sack. Same thing, nothing. Don't buy this overpriced trash unless you want the same problems. I give it a negative 10 on stars.
This app is perfect for any traxxas vehicle I have a XMAXX and can go into fine detail on everything electronic. Break percentage, throttle response, steering end points. Those are just a few of many amazing features, this application let's you controal every aspect of your rc. And as for the speedometer it takes your rpm of your motor size of your tires and estimates a speed so it's not %100 accurate but close as long as you input what tires,pinion, spur gears and such you have installed.
Talked with tech support and because i have an android my 1.0 telementry extender will not work because of a security bug with google and this app is setup for Apple phones in mind.... looks like i will be ripping out all of this bluetooth link stuff when i get home and replacing my RX as well to put it on my own remotes as it messed up my traxxas remote to boot... i have used this app and hardware for years now, O WELL!!!!! Will never do that again on any Traxxas products. It was good back then
