Very nice high quality videos. Background music has a good beat to run to. Tour Guide voiceover is entertaining and informative. I like that there is no monthly subscription fee and you for each movie. FYI: I have this app on my android tablet and on an Apple TV. The movie prices are cheaper on the android device.
It's better than some of the other options, but I am giving it a 2 for a few reasons. 1, there is no way to moderate the pace of the videos, and the speed feels like a 10 min mile. If you're running faster, it just feels slow. 2, I'm not a fan of the narration. 3, music would be nice instead.
a nice trail, but about 1\2 the time the camera was pointed at the ground. you could tell there was an amazing view if only the camera looked up. only at the end did the camera pick up and show the vista. I look up and around when I am hiking, not just at the ground where my feet are.
I can't play the trail I bought. Keeps saying that I don't have a memory card and tells me to download to device. Ive done that many times but it wont play. The free intro video plays
Treadmill walking may not quite rival the great outdoors, but this app comes in as a good second option. Really beautiful worldscapes. Life-saver during the pandemic.
So surreal 'running' the same trails I hiked years ago. Brought back so many memories and so much nostalgia! Thank you Treadmill Trails for creating an exceptional app for those of us who need to put ourselves somewhere else while on the dreadmill! 🤣
Brilliant, I love it!! A great app which makes time pass so much more quickly when you're running through a beautiful forest or along the beach rather than in your garage! Yes you pay a nominal amount for the trails but they are well worth it and there is such a variety of landscapes to choose from. Great support available too if like me technology is somewhat of a challenge!
Well shot videos. The music works for keeping a decent beat while not being distracting. I really enjoy the narration, which I find to be calming and motivating at the same time. The only issue I'm having at the moment is that if you buy videos in google play they do not transfer over to apple devices (from what I can tell you would have to purchase again in the apple store). If this could be fixed, 5 stars for sure!
This is a really great app. Just what I needed/wanted, inexpensive and great support. I hate running on a treadmill longer than 10-15 mins. Took a stab and bought a video to try out. It worked! I got into the beautiful scenes and adjusted incline manually with trail in video. I made it thru entire 30 minutes...running the whole time! This app has no subscription fees and each video is $1. Worth a shot. Doesn't fill screen on Galaxy S10+ but emailed and got fast response to my issue. A++
Great, crisp, stabilized videos of outstanding hikes/rides. I found spots I already loved as well as new ones, and the pacing and narration are good encouragement. The very reasonable cost of adding new trails is a big plus. I'm running it on a 10" Android Tablet and it works really well. If I'm connected with my WiFi network, I can add and restore new trails or old, deleted ones as I go. While I prefer outdoor walks and rides, this a great second choice especially when the weather isn't comfortable. highly recommended.
Very nice videos, dreadful player. The videos themselves are fine and give me something pleasant to focus on whilst exercising. The player though is frustrating. The controls are very basic with poor ergonomics. You can only play, pause or move forwards or backwards by a smallish step. There's a time bar but you can't drag it to where you want. The controls are small and often overlaid by the Android buttons bar on my tablet. The video goes back to the beginning at the slightest provocation.
Love it. Started having trouble with the app. Doesn't play previews and won't download the videos.
I have been using this app for just about a year now, and thoroughly enjoying it. I use the treadmill and playing these apps helps the time go by. Love the fact I can mute the narration and play my music while I watch the trail. I look forward to the new trails that are added each month (about 2 every month). Highly recommend downloading this app.
Great app to relieve treadmill monotony. Inexpensive with a good selection of videos at only a buck a piece. Doesn't automatically control the speed or incline of the treadmill like some apps, but did I mention that the videos are only 99c for each 30 min session? And no subscription our membership required. For that I'll punch the control buttons myself.
This app is a great! Perfect companion to any exersize bike, treadmill, stairclimber, or stationary machine of you choice. Soo much cheaper that the exersize subscriptions that are prevailant now. Pay for the trails you want only once and use them as much as you want, across devices even, and never have to buy that trail again. The trails and guided tours are amazing. Great app, great content.
Certainly helps pass the time while on the treadmill. Much appreciate the time it took to obtain and edit the "trails".
Love! I started with 3 trails, just tried my 1st one (Central Park inclines) & really enjoyed the historical narration. I like that I can choose my music, or narration, or app music. Really good value. Edit - have now tried sunrise beach run, enjoyed the Mountain highlights today, & am looking forward to Prague next weekend. Very reasonable little one-off costs. So happy!
having purchased a treadmill, I didn't just want to stare at the wall while exercising. just the free walk in this app way 30 minutes of good exercise.
I love this app! It helps me forget that I'm even exercising. Great variety of videos. Aside from the exercise standpoint, I like the videos because I can go places where I wouldn't actually go (e.g. Central Park in the Snow - enjoying the video I don't get mugged plus I don't have to worry about slipping on the ice!). Absolutely love this app.
hopeless, firstly you can't preview the trails before you buy them, the central park one I bought was off centre so it felt like you were running in the flowers not on the path. it also doesn't sync with your music, as soon as you start the trail your music goes off despite choosing the 'my music' option. don't waste your money
This is so worth money spent!!! By far the best workout videos!!! Beautiful, educational and inspiring!!!
Nice trails with a great variety, but some simple and less grandiose options would suit me better. I'm a simple runner and while grand scenery is nice, I don't need it when running, watch them on YouTube. Maybe its just not for me. I like simple hill hiking trails, southern coastal beaches (wide flat, calm, expansive views) or mixed biking and running trails, or even the Jersey City boardwalk to be simpler and more inspiring. If running inspires you, simply run or walk and live in the moment.
