I have been an user of tresorit for several years. Despite it is not always very easy to use, I always like the security feel of it. However, today I couldn't open one of my oldest files and after I tried to open it it disappeared! I just lost a file I had no back up for. I will switch of cloud provider as soon as possible and never use tresorit again. I don't trust it anymore
The caching on this phone app is extremely poor. I cannot yet fully replace Dropbox because of this. If I enter a directory and scroll through photos, it only seems to cache this and the next photo. If I scroll two photos away, then back to the first photo, it has to reload it again. This is terrible usability and I'm sure it's bad for my phone battery and Internet connection. Even if I mark a folder of pictures as 'offline', so it should be saved on my phone, this still happens.
I've used Tresorit for all my photo and personal document storage for several years now across Windows, iOS, and now Android. They consistently deliver top-notch obsessive security behind a simple interface. But beware: ProtonDrive is coming.
I ❤️ TRESORIT it's PRIVATE, SECURE and EASY. Keep in mind it's different and definitely not for everyone. Anyone who knows about privacy laws, dns propagation, hosting set up, ssl cert set up, private email set up, cyber security in general and different forms of encryption will agree with me. They took a difficult thing and seriously tried their best to make it as easy as possible for us. Security or User Experience. Pick One. I pick Security! Advice: read their entire website thoroughly.
Definitely trouble showing thumbnails. LOTS of trouble getting the app to work. Click upload folder, check a folder, hit the checkmark, nothing. Long press folder, nothing. Open the folder, hit checkmark, nothing. Your app is insanely buggy and broken, can't do basic things consistently. Edit: Cancelled trial instantly. Useless, useless app.
dont like the feature , shared file can be viewd only 20 times , delete after 30 days. All other free storage services dont do that..Provide less space to frre users but dont do this thing.
I subscribed for a year. I could never get it to upload exactly what I wanted. It's confusing at times. I love the privacy features but it's not for me.
Best app ever, better than Dropbox. I upload all my data that is important for business and files to share for my clients. Very fast upload for those with good internet. Perfect encrypted database for all clients.
Does exactly what is says on the box. It is a much more secure form of GDrive more or less. Very very clean interface. I'm uninstalling it though. It's too expensive to maintain for me. I already pay for Google drive 2TB for myself and wife and a few others. To switch to Tresorit would be ... Very very expensive. Again, the app, the speeds, the service, very good!! I enjoyed my 2 weeks trial. I wish more apps would have the same aesthetic standards. Alas ...
Best out of the other programs, had the option of paying less, but with inferior apps on the others, it wasn't worth getting them. Pay the medium-level premium for Tresorit's services and you'll benefit from what you pay for. Great encryption and pretty well the same price as drop box. Remember, 200GB goes a long bloody way with images, documents and videos. Don't upload games, you'll be wasting data.
Takes more than 24h to upload my photo album, and the app keeps crashing while it's at it. The push notifications are wack, I just got 24 push notifications saying a photo was uploaded successfully. And on top of that the experience of looking through the photos isn't very enjoyable, it's not a good way to store images. I won't be continuing using this software and I won't recommend it. It looks like the developers put a lot of thought and effort into security but none in user experience.
Very good end-to-end encrypted file storage and syncing service. I use it to keep projects in sync across multiple devices (not used simultaneously). This has the added bonus of a versioned cloud copy that can be retrieved in case of accidental deletion. I also use it for sharing confidential files with clients. It is important to me that Tresorit works with Linux desktop as well as proprietary operating systems.
A nice and very secure cloud storage app for all types of files. And even though you have to manually sync photos and videos not from your camera, I still successfully gave up Google Drive and Photos for this more secure and simpler alternative. And unlike both of those Google services it accepts all files, and not just documents and photos separately. And you don't even have to pay to use it for yourself! You guys deserve five stars!
Overall, the service is great, I use this app as well as their Linux desktop client. Generally always works well. I have only two criticisms: - Apps and clients are not open source, so there is no way to verify security claims. - The Linux desktop app seems to use 100% of one cpu core while sync is enabled, on pause this drops to almost nothing. Aside from these, so far I've been very happy with the service provided, and will continue happily to use them.
Really great app! The only things I don't like are that (1) tresors shared with you by others seem to count against your own storage limit, that (2) you can't save directly to the app when editing a file (hopefully Direct File Open or File manager integration is planned for Android?), (3) that there isn't a preview for most files, and (4) the sightly too expensive pricing for the paid options. Other than that, really nice-looking UI with great cross-device synchronisation!
I love the idea and wouldn't mind the subscription fees for the security that I would get. But this app's experience is horrible. Making files available for offline access was taking a long time and it was buggy. It also had trouble showing thumbnails. Those are very basic functionalities and still not working well. Also the used fonts and general design is not as good as other big name services out there.
Great app. Plenty of storage space and will automatically download photos I take so I never lose anything anymore. It's pretty slow on the thumbnail Pic for photos but that does not ruin anything because it does what it is supposed to. Keep my information safe and private! Also super easy to use on the computer and on mobile. Thanks a lot you guys keep up to good fight for privacy!
Why are certain file types impossible to sync. I would like to have my chat backups automatically synced but tresorit completely refuses. Even if I select the file it throws the error. But if I tell it to upload that folder it works (it uploads the entire folder each time so have to delete the old one). Except for this issue it's an amazing app.
The sync doesn't work in the background. With adaptive battery and applications getting put to sleep disabled on system level and Tresorit being among the never sleeping apps, it still has to be opened before it starts syncing anything. If I open it, it starts syncing immediately, but not until then. Android 10 and 11, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
I wanted a cloud based solution that was extremely secure, seamless, and didn't cost a fortune. Tresorit has been working great for me on my android phone and windows 10 laptop for years now. Great service, happy I'm using it. A little pricier than some of the less-secure alternatives but if you're keen on one way encryption then you're beyond all the basic consumer cloud services.
Very good app, beware if you using VPN app maker go and send you a email to tell you-you are in another country specialy if you use other country's vpn if you not use your country's vpn. Im am very disapointed becose its very slow in the past i do it fast??????
With a pixel 3a the photo thumbnails do not work, which is very annoying since it was working with iPhone in the past. Also, there's a bug when uploading multiple photos at once where at some point the upload stops and the app says "File not uploaded yet". Moreover, files stuck in "Upload in progress..." have to be deleted manually, one by one, which is extremely annoying. Also, I wish there was an option for "only upload when charging" for the photo backup, so it doesn't drain the battery.
Currently trying out the service and app. Everything works great so far. One critical feature is missing in the mobile app...no thumbnails for files or docs. Pretty much a showstopper for us until this simple and important feature is implemented. Not sure how this wasn't added at the very beginning.
Insane and recurrent bugs. Can't open files at times. Some even disappear. Instead of putting piece of mind, it is a waste of time and stress. They tell you to sync to solve it. Why on earth would one pay for a pricy secure environment if it were to save everything locally too? I have had several calls with the Tresorit team, unable to get down to the issue. Looking for an alternative provider.
