Trillian

Photos taken with the photo app frequently are in the wrong orientation when I try to send them, despite being correct in the phone's gallery app. Discord and Messenger don't do this even if I send the exact same photo. Also signed out frequently even though it's set not to turn off with battery optimization, meaning that I can't just share using the Android menu half the time. I have to go back and do it again.

I have used Trillian for a long time and find it very useful. Texting is a modern necessity but can get cumbersome. It's always nice to have Trillian to switch over to. My son hates cell phones and won't have one. That's when Trillian came in really handy. I love being able to view my past conversations. The group chat feature is awesome. Two of my friends had never heard of it until I introduced it to them. They love it now!

How does this not have sound notifications when you receive a chat message? I have one of the latest phones, Samsung Note 20 Ultra...time to get your android users sound settings. It defeats purpose if I can't hear when I get a message. On pc works fine. UPDATE 3/24/22: MOBILE NOTIFICATIONS WORK AGAIN. Update: 3/31 cannot be on pc and mobile app or notifications won't work. Right now my icon and status is not showing correctly in group chats. Extremely frustrating.

Longtime user. Contacts list is currently blank. Desktop clients still currently working. Will change back to 5 stars when fixed. Edit: Can see contacts again but "You are not connected to Trillian" when selecting a contact.

It has great potential. It has some places where it needs improvement. Let me begin with saying I use it almost daily as communications between my desktops, phone, tablet, and laptop. Sometimes it tells you you are online but you aren't. It is hit and miss (mostly miss) for sending pictures. There is no way to see who else has Trillian to be able to enlarge your circle of friends. Bottom line, if you need something basic this is great but if you need something more than just the basics, no

often takes several minutes to bother sending messages, and occasionally starts acting like I'm offline until i wipe the app's data completely. frustrating to use and doesn't match up to competition at all

Easy to use. Safe secure. Only complaint is the message writing area is far too small and is not conducive for review and editing before sending

Works great if you need connections to multiple services. I've been using this for years and the desktop version for much longer. I hope they have a lifetime deal again.

I like the app. I've been using it for about 2 years and I purchased a lifetime subscription. Recently, after an app update, I've been having a problem with the notification features in the app (I use an Android phone and no longer get notifications for messages). I've contacted Customer Support several times over the past approximately 4 weeks and have gotten no response.

Really like it when it works. When I first downloaded this app it worked perfectly. Now it's a guessing game as ti whether it will ever sign me in again. And if it does manage to all my settings are gone and I have to reset all my favorites. It works perfectly otherwise, but first you have to get passed signing in. So frustrated.

Randomly decides to fire off notifications for multiple messages that were already recieved, often multiple times. If you switch to another app and come back it likes to jump to the top of a conversation and make you manually scroll to the most recent messages. occasionally still gives notifications even if actively using the desktop client. Nice layout and does work as an IM client, but too many long standing annoying bugs.

I used trillion several years ago as my all-in-one Communications. it was excellent at the time. I was looking for a way to simplify my communication so downloaded it again for my computer and my phone. I have not been able to add a contact or a social media account in either one. I have tried for 2 days. I give up I will go find something that actually works.

I find once it is in use, it works as expected. What I don't see and need is a popup when someone wants to chat with me. I can't even find an add-on that adds this feature. My co-workers use the PC version and have it open and visible so for them it's not an issue. Therefore, I find the Android version inferior to the PC version.

The only reason it got more than 1 star is because the desktop app is amazing, which is the only reason i tolerate this glitchy app. This app takes a solid 5 seconds to boot up everytime which doesnt sound like much but when u just want to send an "instant" message to someone, it feels like forever.sometimes when i click on a contact it opens the messenger with nothing being clickable until i shut the app off and turn it back on. There R other issues but can't explain them in 500 characters

App. Keeps crashing all the time, they need to fix this issues everytime I log in, it logs me out continuously. Very bad lately

One of the apps that i couldn't do without. Great for sending large files to family and friends. Have it installed on my cell phone as well as my desktop and laptop.

Alerts are random. Signs me out all the time. Needs a lot of work as a mobile. messaging app. Works ok on my PC though.

Messaging is good, missing important features. Desperately needs a search function, and a way to reply/refer to previous messages like Facebook messenger or WhatsApp.

Been away from my trillion for a while It took a little tweaking but so far it seems to be working with Facebook Still haven't found the video chat is there one... It's not as robust as I was hoping, there's no video chat capability, it's some of the other social Twitter Snapchat Instagram are not there,, it's a little buggy when it hooks up to to Facebook... Has a problem finding the concretes,, any be nice to hear about an update for the it too..

I love this app. It's perfect: You can just download it, pick a username and add your Trillian friends. No privacy infringing "give me your phone number", it works smoothly also on computers, it doesn't log/mine your data on some obscure server... And it doesn't have a million malfunctioning "features" either. It just works. It's perfect!

It likes to "stop unexpectedly" that seems to be a daily occurrence. After AOL instant messenger was gone, I haven't found a great chat program to use. It's ok if one remembers to keep checking if it's still on. I have a hard time reading the small print and the font can't be changed. And I would like to be able to change the color as well.

Broken app. Won't find contacts or allow searching/adding of contacts - even though I can see my contacts just fine on the web and Windows clients. Because of this it always sees an "empty" contacts list which means I'm not allowed to send any messages to anyone! What good is an app that only allows inbound messages?

New Updates Make It Much Better. Now that GIFs are available, the app doesn't seem so out dated. The ability to acknowledge comments (like, dislike or love) could be a great addition. We use it all day for work. Our team all works remotely so we need to stay in touch through the day. Only thing I don't like is when my computer disconnects from internet, the conversation while I was disconnected will not populate. I miss out on what happened while I was down.

Everytime i send a picture it hangs up, stops, freezes up. I cant do anything until it unfreezes. It been like this since 2 updates later. My status window shows me unavailable, and available in two separate statuses. Its very frustrating trying to share pictures when the app freezes for mo reason. I have Android 10 on my phone.

I downloaded this to replace another app that I was growing tired of because of problems. This one is worse! I can't add or invite anyone because of an error that kicks me back out, telling me sign in. If I have to see error 400 one more time...!!! I'm so glad I didn't immediately pay for a years service based on the positive reviews. This is my first review for an app but this one deserved it!

It do not work with facebook at all. I kept getting wrong password. I even input the F2A code and turned off F2A totally useless app now.
