Cool concept, but a long way to go. Boarding experience is buggy at best. The app won't recognize a QR code on my Samsung Galaxy 8+ (camera distorts the image), and bluetooth discovery of our shuttles is spotty. It lets me sign into the wrong bus (one I'm not reserved for) when several are nearby, and there's no way to give up a reservation if I picked the wrong one.

Can't plan a trip. Doesn't allow me to buy or use a pass. Why did this app exist? To frustrate tourists just trying to get to Disneyland.

Bad app in many ways but let’s discuss the trip planner. Flaw 1: Search results peppered with long, indirect routes nobody uses, crowding out the fast, direct routes you’re actually looking for. Flaw 2: It insists on inserting walking times, much slower than I actually walk, making it difficult (sometimes impossible) to see actual departure times. These issues make the trip planner essentially useless. Two simple settings (“nonstop only” & “include walking times”) would help so much.

Barely works. Requires three degrees to operate. A paper timetable is more helpful.

I'm unfortunately forced to use Tripshot by my employer. This app has terrible user experience and it is very difficult to basic info, because it is so overengineered with unnecessary features. For example, its home page shows a live map with every single bus stop near me, the next 10 arrivals for all lines and their respective delays. Unfortunately, that info is useless 99% of the time, I just really wanted to know when is the next shuttle for my usual line. It's pretty simple.

This was recently required by my company but I can never get the app to work when trying to scan in and get a pass for my bus. This is constantly irritating and makes it difficult and unexceptionly harder than just using my ID card. Definitely don't recommend this app. Its a coin flip as to whether or not it'll work and that slows down the boarding process and irritating for me, the driver, and other people in line to board.

it works for me, but the correct settings and buttons are hard to find or not intiitive. for example, when clicking on a notification for a bus arriving or being late, I'd naturally want to pull up the map with that bus. it instead brings me to the notifications feed, where I haven't figured put how to get where I want. clicking the item in the feed doesn't go anywhere...

I can walk 15 minutes to one bus stop or 20 minutes to another. All I want is to see the departures from both and figure out which one to go to. If I ask tripshot for walking directions it assumes I won't walk that far and says it is impossible for me to get to work. If I ask for biking or driving directions it shows faraway bus stops all over the city. There is no way to change this. There isn't space to describe my other experiences with the app, but they are comparable.

Terrible UX. For example: * No way to view list of "favorite routes" unless you are already viewing a route. Favorites should be accessible from the main menu * Clicking on an arrival notification for a route takes you to your notification history, instead of taking you to live route information. (Why does the app even HAVE notification history? I don't need to know when my bus arrived yesterday. It's totally useless) * No way to specify how far you are willing to walk when searching for routes

Trip shot is a really great transit system. Easy to use and super reliable. The bus always arrived within 7 to 8 minutes of requesting a pick up. On occasion the drivers weren't the friendliest but most were. I was very happy with the service overall.

Alerts stay forever until you swipe each one away individually and there's like a 10% chance that any given swipe will work. No public transit directions to / from the shuttle stops. In other words, if you're a big decision maker who drives to your job at a little transit agency, this app is for you.

Currently they are using this app at the University of Denver for their campus shuttle. This app is a great case-study in bad user design. We all tried it out in our Marketing Research class and nobody could figure out how to use it. I gave it to my roommate who is a transit enthusiast and he struggled even with years of experience using many public transit apps. There is no legend for symbols in the app, no easy way to tell how long it will take to get from one place to another, and absolutely no help documents within the app. I will likely be making the suggestion that they move onto a better app that follows UX Design principles. Not sure you can fix something this broken.

My work has recently started using this app for our commuter buses. As a non-FTE I have to pay for my bus fare. This app makes it hard to pay the fare because it won't properly scan the barcode on the bus. It also doesn't pick up the bluetooth signal from the bus to allow payment. It consistently doesn't work and makes for a stressful situation for the driver and I. I can't understand why our company would require an app to ride a bus. I mean c'mon, commuting is already stressful.

App required by company to ride their bus. The app wouldn't load the payment options. Tried desperately for 20 minutes as I watched the bus arrive to no avail. The only available options on the sidebar at the time was explore, routes, notifications, and settings. Go figure. Of course it works after I no longer need it.

Incorrect route information making me waste money and time As of February 2022 the app no longer works at all, will not load anything just blank white screen

Jap. S. Jan 17, 2020

Bately functional. It doesn't show me all the stops of the bus on my map, only shows my stop and final stop. Doesn't show me times of the other stops in the non map view, only the names of the stops sometimes i am running late and want to see other stops and time it stops there but am unable to do so

Terrible service. The on demand service gets delayed over and over again. Busses are almost there and then get canceled and put on a different bus. One bus showed that it arrived and then departed but it never came to the stop 14. Then showed us active on a bus that never showed up. Seems you need to say you're leaving at least 45 minutes before you actually want to leave. Also customer service line keeps ringing and ringing. No queue or voice-mail system. Never again.

Company required. One of the worst and least user friendly apps. Doesn't find bus using bluetooth well. Alerts and notifications is not intuitive. Waste of time

Do yourself a favor and find a more reliable form of transportation. 😬😒

Ali. R. Dec 28, 2021

Terrible! The app is so inaccurate. Everyone we came across also had issues. We regret buying 5 day passes and have had to walk because we couldn't get a bus.

Arj. S. Mar 2, 2020

Poor UI and usability. Very slow "transition" animation that you can't disable. Glitchy when trying to find available rides for another day.

Den. L. Aug 30, 2019

Awful. The only way to view favorite routes is to search for a stop, and then click on from/to which opens the trip planner.

Fem. D. Sep 5, 2019

One of the worst apps I've ever used. UI is horrific and it's nearly impossible to decipher what time a shuttle leaves from what stop.

Cam. B. Oct 15, 2021

This app is terrible, the "On demand" is a minimum of a hr wait. Busses will take only one passenger/family unless the driver is cool then they will take multiple people and make a route. If you read this before buying the non refundable tickets please just use public transportation not this for Disneyland.

Ben. R. Sep 5, 2019

Such a pain to use this app in the evening to plan for the next day. Instead of it continuously telling you when the next bus is coming, you must adjust all of the date and time settings if looking for tomorrow morning's routes.

Mic. S. Jul 17, 2021

Don't trust it - Has time and route information that stopped being accurate a year ago. Waited for shuttles that no longer run, but had full info in app.

Jon. J. M. C. Oct 27, 2020

Good, but on poor light situations no option for flashlight when scanning the qr codes, or light fixing, that will be great!
