Troika: The Card Game

The game is good, but the AI is horrible. Whenever possible, you should pass two cards of the same suit to your partner, preferably a suit that you were dealt exactly two cards of. This does two things: 1) Passing your partner two cards of the same suit helps them exponentially more than passing them unsuited cards. 2) It makes you short-suited, making it easier to throw trump when you want to. This is by far the best strategy for passing cards, but the AI never does it. It's too dumb.

Overall, enjoyable, but ..... "Bob" using an Ace or large trump to trump a trick, wherein, he then leads a smaller trump, losing the trick and the 5! Discarding a non trump card, when the ace of hearts has been lead, only to lose the 5. Following a played trump card by playing one of your own, when not required Not being aware of opponents amount of tricks. Better to give up the 5, and set them. Lastly, with spades trump, thinking you are giving the 3 as a minus, only to lose our points.

It's a great game. Very easy to spend a lot of time playing. However, while playing offline, the computer teammate is so awful. It's infuriating having it pass you miss at mismatched suits constantly or bidding 9 when it's only got 4 of that suit. It needs a major ai update.

I don't usually leave reviews but this is a good game, Single player mode is challenging with different levels of partner and opponents that are random. Can be frustrating at times but so can playing with Grandma at the supper table.

What an amazing game! Downloaded this game for my grandparents so they can play cards and downloaded it for myself to learn how to play. I spent many hours playing with them and I love being able to play without being in the same room! The developer is very helpful and tried to fix my problem. I would strongly recommend this as the gold standard of card playing apps!

I would have given this game a 5 star...if there were players online. A lot of good it does to buy the month subscription when there is no other people doing the same. Until this game has enough players...1 star. When I can start to play real people who have signed up....no 5 star Waste of money at this point. But so close to being the best game out there

Have the paid version since 2015. Where to start? Horrible partner AI. Developer doesn't understand the game of Kaiser, or doesn't know how to program. If you bid a 12 no trump (called Troika in game) and make the bid. Automatic loss. Which is polar opposite to the rule of Kaiser. Automatic game win. Five years and no updates to fix these issues. Keep money and avoid this version.

Plated hands where neither side got any points and sometimes it happens hand after hand...not fun to play with errors like this

ones partner across the table is most definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer! constantly over trumping me when he plays last, even tho trump is not even required and when he should be sluffing a heart instead. Then he ends up running himself out of trump later and loosing the 5🤨?!?! I gave a 3 star instead of a 2 because I've played enough with him that I've learned not to expect anything more from him. he's just learning the game I tell myself and since I can't give him a smack...😏

Pretty good little game. Definitely a good way to get familiar with and improve your play. The ai sometimes plays questionably. Should be called by its real name: kaiser 🤣. Says Google play store has crashed every time I try and upgrade the app.

While I usually do enjoy playing the game (despite having a partner that seemingly tries to make us lose), along with the new update comes NO SOUND whatsoever!! (On either iPhone or Android)

game is excellant with one small bug if you have 44 points and you steal 9 points from other teams bid your score is now 53 but game still keeps going doesnt register the win until you win a hand. Everything else works great.

Fun, but the offline version often makes silly plays- Quite easy to beat the app. Haven't ever had enough people to play online.

The AI avoids the three more than it tries to take the five. Opponent had the chance to trump a trick that had the 3 in it by playing the five (and cause me to fail my bid) but didn't.

Playing the bots is not fun, they have zero strategy. Anyone out there ever play multiplayer? Would be a whole lot more fun if I could find people to play.

Love that there's a Kaiser game for my phone. Lots of fun. Price to upgrade is steep. I also noticed my wins are disappearing on the leader board.

Lovely gameplay of Kaiser with fantastic customer support. The online features allow family members to play, even if they are a province away. Overall great game that allows us connect with the family, Five Stars

This is the only app/software I have found to play Kaiser for free. Even if the AI isn't great it has introduced me to this fun game so now I can play with others in person.

Love the game. Online doesn't work (even though I paid). I send invites to my friends and it never connects...

The game is fine. For some reason though if you need to leave the app it restarts your game when you go back in.

I'm glad you found the time to revamp the game. Just a few things to do yet. But I played the other "game" for years and it is not the perfect game either. Keep up the good work! 😊

Your partner does very thing possible to lose will keep the 5 high and dryeverytime it can and plays the worst it can.

Fun game, a bit of a pain to add others to multiplayer game but once it it works pretty well.

Bid 12 no, I won every trick but the 3, me specifically, partner never won a single trick. Still said I lost.

Its good. I am from Saskatoon in my 40's, and ive never heard of Troika, but I've heard of Kaiser and this is the same game. I would like to know who made this app because I can't find your details anywhere. thanks
