TRS-80 Emulator
The following features are currently supported:• Model I & III (text mode only)• Cassette support. A default blank tape is automatically created (a different cassette image can be mounted via the Edit Configuration dialog). Use the rewind button in the action bar to rewind the tape to the beginning• Floppy disks• Sound• Different keyboard types, including a tilt interface where the accelerometer triggers cursor keys (for games)• Game controller support: joystick and DPAD buttons are mapped to appropriate cursor keys. Other game controller keys are mapped to space for now (future version might allow custom mapping)• Define different keyboard layouts for landscape and portrait mode• When an external keyboard is detected, it will automatically be used instead of the configured soft-keyboard. Like it anyway but the keyboard on portrait is too small, even on compact mode. for big hands like this, the user might end up tapping the wrong key all of a sudden instead of the key the user intended to press. Other than that, great app!
After last update don't install new disks....don't see the .ROM and .DSK files ...it's a bug !!!
Unfortunately did not work on my Android 11 Moto G Stylus. After install press Play goes back to Play Would love for this to work. L

The .cas issue was my end so I changed to 5 stars. However I do wish the joy stick was smaller.

The keyboard seems to have issues with upper and lowercase in some programs, notably MMSForth. Caps lock should work for all keys, but it doesn't.

Trying to play Pyramid 2000, the rom i am downloading is a .CAS but i think it is not the right one file extension, what file extension do this use.

As a retro computing hobbyist, I still have my actual, original TRS-80 Model III. This emulator lets me try out ideas when I'm away, and they work identically on the real thing when I get home. Puder has totally aced the Android TRS-80 emulation! The more I look, the more I find that it can do!
Great idea, the programming works, but oh my goodness the on screen touch keyboard is soooo slooooowww!
I really love this TRS-80 emulator! However, I have recently lost the ability to return to NEWDOS/80 disk image. I was attempting to CLOAD a saved program when it errored then locked up (unbreakable loop of scrolling text). I had to delete it. Now when I create a new disk image I cannot CSAVE or CLOAD any of my programs or return to NEWDOS/80. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times but it will not return to the original setup. Frustrating.

Great functionality for a beta release ... and free to boot! Just as responsive as my original M1 :-) Hoping (please?) for an update to fix some issues I'm seeing: 1. disk changes don't take effect so only option is to delete the instance. 2. External keyboard causes auto key repeat after a 1/2 second delay. Hardware: Galaxy Note 4 running 6.0.1 Edit: willing to pay for improvements
This app has really come a long way. Support for virtual onscreen joystick has been added, and best of all the app no longer stutters when playing sound. Truly excellent.
Way to go, love the retro. Now if I could get my Trs80 model 4 to be this quick.
Good work i used to run sequenced pumps running a printer interface and a model 1 brings back some early memories
You can tell that Arno loves the old Tandy computer, TRS-80 Emulator is very well done
