Truck Stops, GPS - Road Hunter

1 star to get attention. I have not been able to use the app as yet. But, I do have a question: when it gives the option of which route app to use, will your app use its own algorithms with the other? When I choose my own, it opens Google maps. So, when I use Google maps that way, do it without truck specifics? If so, what's the point of this? Reply: So, what your saying is, there is no reason to open your app if I want to use my own navigation app. So, what's the point of using yours?

This app is one of the most accurate truck gps out here now, you could even use it wherever you go ,I mean I've been using it for a while now an it never fail me throughout any of my trips I mean don't take my word for it just give it a try for yourself I promise you that you'll like it 👌🏾👍🏾

Very helpful for trip planning. They need to stop the "screen blocking ads ". It is annoying. The can do ads but no need to block our entire screen. But I'll still give them 5 stars

Since the last update was installed am unable to stay connected for more then 10 minutes. I suggest you have someone else look at the update and correct it. After working with tech support, installed new program, back to the way it used to run, impressed with tech support and their fast response, program is a great program ok what did you do now, system locks up almost immediately, not my phone, map box works fine

Did you guys took out viewing map with truck restrictions in free mode away? Used to be that brown dot to the bottom left of map. Don't see it anymore.

App is probably best for box trucks. Sometimes it'll take you down roads that a truck isn't supposed to go down. All its really good for is avoiding low bridges. But definitely be careful through Scranton, PA and Binghamton, NY.

Not a bad app especially for the kind of job I do it does take me on some truck routes it does bypass me some under low bypass Bridges I just wish you could change the icon and not have a red dot looking like a stop sign. Other besides that the app works fairly well for what I need

Jack of all trades and a master of none Very ambitious app with alot of potential. It seems to find truck safe roads reliably, but almost never the fastest or most direct routes. I couldn't find a way to add an additional stop. Once you get the routing optimized and the turn by turn directions added, I may recommend this app to others. Until then I won't be replacing any of my old reliable apps. Since it's my favorite price, I'll continue to update statuses and add reviews to help improve your database. Thanks

I like this app. Some points to improve. 1. When inputting a destination, provide more options and control of route choice. 2. This app will tend to chose routes through residential neighborhoods, with posted weight limits, while not choosing an intersection where two major roads cross. 3 I have experienced this app change its mind mid route. I chose the option that was most direct. it had me exit the interstate, get on a State highway then direct me back to the interstate at the same exit.

ok so Im torn on the fact that I do like the app, and want to give 5 Stars, but you plan the route, get everything going, and all is good, then it seems when you need it and you are coming up to some turns, the app wants to completely shutdown! So I thought maybe just a glitch, but it seems to be happening EVERYTIME! Can you guys please look into this immediately! It's becoming very frustrating, and I want to keep using the app, but if this continues, I will have to look elsewhere. Thank you!

Drove a uHaul for the first time, to another state. This app worked wonders. You do have to pay when following the route. This GPS directed me to go down a one way street in the wrong direction. I don't think it's a deal breaker considering Google Maps constantly gives voice commands that are the opposite of the actual directions (turn left vs right).

I just wanted something to show me bridge heights along a route, and this has it. I am renting an RV and wanted to easily check height clearances along my route. This shows the height clearances along the map route and all adjacent roads in a black and yellow marker that's easy to pick out along the way. I was able to scan my route before hand and I am good to go!

The app was very useful with trip planning when I first started using it. But, over the last year or so it started messing up...it wasn't finding addresses, it gave me 3 maps to choose from (but, the maps didn't have the truck stops on the route I chose) or the app didn't work at all. I don't know what changed but it went down hill. In my opinion this was one of the best truckers map. I can't say b it is now.

Doesn't have voice announcement of upcoming turns. Covers half the screen with inaccurate visual turning prompts - as you get closer to a turn the distance goes up, then down. Does not display vehicle speed. Indication of vehicle position is a tiny blue dot on a blue suggested route. No dynamic rerouting if you stray from the suggested route. No where near the sophistication of a cheap consumer GPS from Garmin, tom-tom, et al. I'd like to be encouraging, but this app has a long way to go.

We have been using this app for awhile. Just this last trip from San Jose, California the app was not routing our trip correctly. Then in Milwaukee, Wisconsin it took us long ways around and back tracked us.

Has truck stops that don't show up.on other apps. Shows scale houses so if needing a CAT scale you know the direction to look.

I like this app tells you where all kinds truck stops, rest areas walmarts etc that are and you can add it to your route. The big caveat a huge problem is that it constantly loses GPS signal about every 10 to 20 minutes. To bad. Let me know when this gets fixed once and for all and I'll give we it another shot.

It has good and useful navigation and big truck stop chains but some times missing small stations which I know already, i have submitted several small stops, hope it will be helpful. Other thing is navigation pointer is always the same, would be great if I could change it to the different icon instead of standard one. But in general it's great

I only used this app for one trip, from upstate NY down and onto Long Island. It's a route filled with parkways that restrict commercial traffic and often have low bridges and narrow lanes. Directions were perfect and I was able to enter in several stops for a seamless drive. Accuracy compares to others I've used while employed as a fleet driver, but without the high cost.

Great app if your worried about parkways, low bridges, one ways ect ect. The only problem I'm having with the app is a black screen when I boot it up. Also when you cancel the GPS It completely erases what address you had and all the info making you restart from scratch. It's a little laborious.

When I 1st downloaded this app, things worked great. And Mapbox worked, the better truck navigation, Here* is just basically Google Maps with truckstop info,, but now it always says Mapbox is temporarily disabled. Why? And it just stops all the time. I'm looking for a better trucking app, when I find it, this ones deleted! Edited: Leading truck navigator huh? Here* has suggested turning down one lane rds in a semi that GMs wouldn't send a car!! But I understand, even the best aren't perfect...

Update.... it's wrong on toll roads... 476 and 80 are definitely toll roads that it routed me on when i clicked NO TOLLS. the toll cost thing is also wrong. It said zero and I'm up to over $200 in tolls. This is by far the best app I've come across. Even better than the pay one i used. One of the routing options always matches the route sent on the Qualcomm. The quick pick for the truck stops is nice. I used the weather radar tab once and it seemed to be on point.

Worst, most unreliable, stupidest app ever created. The app makes you get off the highway only to get back on the highway 1 block away, 1mile away, 1 city away. What the heck is that? The app will stop working before you come to a split on the highway not showing you which side to take. It freezes way too much, and when you overide its directions its so stupid that it wants to force you to complete her route by telling you get off and uturn, instead of recalibrating into a map. Dont do it.

it does not really work very well. My test trip is from Black Meadow Landing, CA, to Lake Havasu City, AZ. Along the way there is a dam where trucks are not allowed and must take a longer way through Parker, AZ. This app is sending me straight to the dam and into a nightmare of manovers to get back. You did not pass the test. There is no way to change miles into km, and no way to set a stop along the way. Google Map is sill better.

Plans out good routes. If it had turn by turn it'd be awesome. I'd pay for version that did. Also it doesn't keep the screen lit. I haven't revoked any permissions and I didn't see anything in the settings to fix. I'll keep fiddling withit.
