I have been using this meter for 6 months, since being diagnosed with T2 diabetes. I have found it very easy to use. Doctor can download results so feel secure in how my condition is being monitored. Since todays update however the way I measure my blood Mol has changed to dl, despite uninstalling app and then reinstalling no joy. I emailed the help desk and got a response within 5 minutes which I think is excellent. I then sent a screen shot as requested. I am hoping to get a resolution soon.
One of the most awkward devices I have ever had to pair. After nearly 2 days of trying and almost throwing the device it suddenly decided to pair. I have no idea why as I followed the ambiguous instructions on each attempt. What a piece of garbage. I have been trying to sync my readings for nearly 3 days. The app says no device is connected yet it shows up in my list of connected devices and the app lists my device. I will go back to using my Contour Next One. At least it will sync.
The app says to use a 4 digit pin, but you actually need the last 6 digits of the serial number on the back of the meter. My meter's time is also off and I have asked the app to sync the time but it doesn't seem to be working. It's 9pm but it says it's 11pm so that's a bit frustrating. I will update my review once I spend more time using the app. I like the graphs so far though.
It was rather difficult to pair the meter with the phone, but once it was done synchronization is fast and easy. But: The app doesn't save the tags and the notes that i enter in the logbook, which make it much less useful. Therefore 3 stars. Update: After reading that the functionality for the tags and notes is broken since April this year and seeing the copy and paste answers from the "support" i decided to remove one star.
Works as a data collector and trend analysis. But, it does not let you edit readings downloaded from the meter. For instance, I cannot dowload a reading and then apply tags such as pre/post meal. The software has the functionality to choose and add tags to the reading, it just doesn't save them when you leave the screen (there is no SAVE button or other method). Kind of pointless.
I've been trying to pair the meter to the app for over an hour now. It has paired with my android device but refuses to pair with the app. As a first time user, it's very discouraging and I would be sticking to the pen and paper method to collect data. I also cannot contact tech support as I am from the Caribbean so great idea, but a lot of modifications need to be made. Good effort though.
I was able to install on a Pixel 2 and it worked fine. That phone was lost so I had to change to a Pixel 2XL and it installed fine and paired with the True Matrix Air. It was able to set the date time for the meter and it downloaded 1000 results to the app and they are viewable in the log. However it stopped at Dec 9, 2018 and any subsequent sync runs for a while then reports "Transfer incomplete. Error 8 received from meter" I tried deleting old records from the app (all before Nov 1,2018) and also tried deleting all data. The app reports "Transfer Complete 1000 new results have been received from the meter" ... but again it is only up through Dec 9, 2018 and any further syc ends with the "Error 8". I called the support number but was told that the phone was not supported and they would not tell me what Error 8 was. Can anyone tell me what error 8 is?
Well it was a great app until they broke the ability to add notes and tags to glucose results. This needs to be fixed asap, or there is no point in the app and you might as well just store the results on the meter itself. The kicker, their email listed is no longer valid so you cant even contact them to complain or point out this issue.
Recent update removed functionality. Previous version allowed tags and entering notes on the log. Now you can click the tags and enter the notes but they won't save. This needs to be fixed immediately. I don't understand why it's still broken at this point. It is a very very important feature of the app. And it worked perfectly before the latest this update
Installed and uninstalled this app 3 times and it still will not sync to my True Metrix Air. This is a brand new meter, so it's not defective. Would be nice to use the Bluetooth feature. Update : Just got off the phone with the 800 number. If you have a new phone. This app and the TrueMextrix Air is NOT COMPATIBLE with the newer phones. I have the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. They need to update the software. Or put on the back of the box of their product, what phones are compatible. Rediculous!
As others have mentioned, you cannot add notes or event tags to synced results, making this app a lot less useful than it could be. Also, if manually entering results, it seems you can only enter numbers in the 10s and 100s place - the last digit is 0 and cannot be changed. Note: Removed one 🌟 due to copy paste customer response and others saying that calling the number given was pointless. Clearly a functionality AND customer experience problem here!
Yeah, I paired with the device in 10 min! You probably didn't read the instructions. If you own the app and click in the question mark (app digital manual) in order to pair you need to use the LAST SIX DIGITS OF THE DEVICES SERIAL NUMBER (ON THE BACK OF THE DEVICE). Then is syncs in seconds. RTFM! I will admit they should have made this clear in the initial set up for those who are technically challenged.
App needs to tell you what "PIN number" it needs for pairing. For anyone wondering, it's the last 6 digits on the back of the unit. Also, the time is set correctly on the device, but it adds two hours to the reading once it's imported which means you can't add any notes to the logbook. You get an error saying "Future time can't be added" so I have to wait two hours before I can edit the notes.
I downloaded and it worked once. I've tried 2 different devices (phone and tablet). Both say they can't locate the device. The meter is on and Bluetooth is on, I put in the # for pairing and the phone says it can't locate a device. We are full-time RV people, so it's important that I can send results to my doctor. Guess I'll have to try a different brand...
Can't get my meter to sync to my phone, keeps asking for the pin number, I put the serial number in the six digits it doesn't work, I put 0000 in it doesn't work, I put one two three four in, it doesn't work, it did work before,, I've done everything I can think of including taking the app off and reinstalling it, I've already called and talked to them, they didn't give me an answer either.
Requires you turn on your GPS to connect to your glucose meter which is a violation of privacy. There is also no way to delete Individual results.
Had not been able to pair with my Note9 and had gotten a brand new meter. Did not not pair with either my Android S9 or my Note 9. Same problem kept happening! Keeps saying "Device not found" even though it is showing it is paired with my phone and they are right next to each other and bluetooth is definitely on. Super disappointed. My main reason for getting this was for the bluetooth feature.
After the last update it has changed my settings from mmol/l to mg/dl an keeps crashing when I try to change it back. Hope you can fix this bug quickly
Bug fix? More like introduce more, major bugs. Latest update lost my settings. Attempts to reset the settings crashes the app. Having backed up my logbook and reinstalling the app, i cannot restore the settings as the files ( still on the device) are not listed for selection. Really bad for an update. Not tested properly before release!
