* Guide for connecting this application to a portable DVD writer :
1. Connect a supported portable DVD writer and smart device according to user's manual.
2. Click 'OK' on pop-up window to choose TrueDVD+ for USB device on smart device.
※ Note : At this time, please execute it with pushing 'JUST ONCE' after selecting TrueDVD+
If you execute it with pushing 'ALWAYS', you can't execute DiscLink App in next ODD connection
In this case, please connect ODD after cancelling 'LAUNCH BY DEFAULT' of sMedio TrueDVD Streamer+ at Apps menu in Settings on smart device.
3. TrueDVD+ will start on smart device and connection will be completed.

Trash. Portable dvd for android. I see the files starts to play and all I get is a blank screen then "not responding". Freaking awesome!!! I love it when their own apps don't even work for their own product! Trash trash trash
Does not detect my drive, a brand new Hitachi-LG with instructions that says to use this app. This app just says "Please plug in USB Dvd drive". The Disc Link Platinum app, also part of the instructions, has no problem browsing the disc, so the problem is this software.
I have a new Slim Portable DVD Writer by Hitachi-LG. This app does nothing with it. Just says "plug in". No instructions, no options.
Unable to download to my Chromebook since they performed an upgrade the Chrome OS. Now I have a portable Hitachi lg dvd player l cannot use anyone.
It worked on the fly. Start the app, plug in the drive (you could already have it plugged in) click search and play the DVD. Very nice. Samsung Galaxy S21+, Hitachi-LG Portable DVD.
Doesn't work. Whenever I connect drive through usb the app says that drive isn't connected or smth. At the same time ud link app works perfectly
Not currently working with LG GP 975 drive - any firmware fix? I have got disc platinum working on my Android TV but have the same problem with true dvd. Drive not recognised. Now VLC works to a degree but want a fix for this information
Doesn't work. Fails to detect my LG DVD drive, despite the drive spinning up and activity light flashing. My drive is the LG GP60NB60, which isn't listed in the support list, but why is this app so particular as to the drive model?
I bought GP95NB70 and in principle it should work but the app does not recognize the drive and ask to connect via USB but it is already connected

I have a new Hitachi-LG external DVD Writer and this app can't detect it through working OTG cable. Not good.
For everyone who cannot connect it to their device: Use the UD Link. That one works.

Won't detect new drive but 'disk link platinum' does and that plays DVD with VLC installed ? ? ?
Only works with a very specific model of writer, otherwise useless even for read only.
Shame on them for not supporting more of their own drives. Will not work with LG GP55 drives.
I experienced the same results. Unable to detect my LG GP65NB60 Slim Portable DVD Writer.
I just installed this on my laptop and it says it is installed, but it doesn't show up!! Why not?!! I want to uninstall it now,because it doesn't show up, but there isn't an option for that!! This is just ridiculous!!
See the drive but doesn't play just errors.

The App simply doesn't work as I have since found out you cannot use any dvd player on an Android tablet. They are not designed for it. Even the app says "not optimised for your device"
