There are some nice parts about this app. I especially like the interface and how they make it very convenient to contact property owners/managers. The downside is the insane number of notifications that it sends and you need to click through 8 different sub-menus to deactivate alerts.
Its convenient and pretty decent. I wish I can customize the alerts and notifications I get. For example, I only care about when a place is for sale within a certain price range and x amount of bedrooms and minimum of x amount of square space in a specific city, state, or area (like from drawing on the map). That way I don't have to manually go through all alerts/notifications to just clear it. And/or it would be nice to do an anti-alert. Like don't show me or notify me that is 50+ yrs old.
I hope the developers could do something about the price ranges in search results. If the filter is looking for a 2 bedroom, the result shouldn't show the price range including studio and one bedroom. Thanks!
Allows listers to lie, lie, lie. "6 acres", "7 acres" but sat images show the yard is no bigger than the house. No honesty from thieves, I guess. Can't set HOA preference, can't filter out new construction in spite of the setting, and setting "pool" or "garage" as a keyword also nets you anything that says "no pool" or "no garage". Absolutely worthless search function.
I love this app but it does not keep my saved favorites. I loose all the time the houses I keep to review. The list sometimes show some houses sometimes they all disappear and I have to go searching for them all over again. Extremely annoying. If tou guys fix it I will give you 5 stars. But it has bewn doing this for months and I have lost once again all the houses I saved. Please! Fix it asap
I've used and loved this app for years. No more. On both of my android phones (different brands) which is where I most need to use it, it only does one search correctly after newly installing the app, then it never works again unless I uninstall and reinstall it - no changing of any app setting or search criteria helps. Ridiculous. Trulia you must be a huge company - do you have NO people testing your apps?!?!
Best app for searching homes. Would like it if the colors were more vibrant on the maps so it was easier to differentiate water from land. There should also be clearer boundaries separating states.
Finding houses is super easy with this app. Having companies respond, not so much. But the app makes it easy to see what's out there as well as to contact the unresponsive agencies.
You're sending me recommendations based on your recommendations. Not based on filters I have set. You send me a recommendation and I view it. Now you're saying it's based on my recommendations. I don't waste time viewing properties that don't interest me. Yet somehow you keep sending recommendations that are not based on my filters. They're based on properties that you've decided I should be interested in. If im looking for a 2 & 2 full bath. Why are you sending recommendations for a 1 and 1?
I love the intuitive usability of the Trulia App. It marks the price of properties on the map and allows for removal of boundaries, however it also continues to show properties on the map outside of the personal boundaries set in the filter options. The ability to pull up property photos is also done in a user friendly manner that allows the user to view all photos in a pulldown screen as opposed to swiping on individual images. It's by far the best app to use when looking at properties!
It works pretty well, and I've been happy with it for the most part. BUT, if you're just curious about an area OTHER than where you're looking, DO NOT use this app. I was just curious about Las Vegas and viewed a few places, and now I can't this area out of my feed. It seems to be strengthened by their algorithm. I can't find anything in settings or search options to fix this. I've gotten no response from customer support. If it weren't for this one really annoying problem I'd give it 5 stars.
My feed only shows 3 listing for a state I don't live In. No way to change it. Also I have made several saved searches. However, when I go to retrieve them they are gone and many times I get an oops somethings wrong with the system. This app won't show me the correct feed. Used to love it now it's just trash.
Not useful at all. Can't cross out properties am not interested on. The listings are for areas I did not pick. There are no notifications even though I've set it with my email and worse of all, i keep getting listings for properties which are far from matching my criteria. Uninstalling and not bothering with the automated email asking me to contact support and blah blah blah that all apps have
I liked Trulia in the past, but they do not tell you about the internet provider for the house. I will not look at any real estate app that doesn't provide that information. It's 2022, post pandemic. You can't get anything done without internet. Get your stuff together so Trulia or get out!
The best real estate app I've used so far. I do wish they would show the property lines for the listings like Homesnap does.
trulia I love your platform it's my preferred method of looking for apartments, really I do, can someone just tell me why im getting recommendations, notifs, and emails for half a million dollar houses in Plano Texas? I am nowhere near Texas and have never expressed any interest in living there. it's nowhere in my saved searches and I have no clue where the app got this idea from but it's clogging up my notifications
When I first got the app I found it very convenient and helpful but in recent months I've been constantly pestered with notifications for houses that are WAY outside any price range I've ever searched for as well as "recommended" rentals for places that are NON-pet-friendly when every single search I've ever done had the pet friendly places only filter on. It's also extremely frustrating that 1 out of every 4 notifications are for homes in 55+ retirement communities, which I'm not interested in.
1 star bc you're spamming me with emails that aren't relevant (wouldn't want them anyway) and you don't offer anyway to opt out of them (which is illegal). I'm also reporting you for violation of the canned-spam act and permanently switching to Zillow. You keep making your app worse!! Read your reviews to get a clue.
Learns your likes and dislikes fast. Love the recommendations and it's always ideal to have notifications sent. Would and have recommended this app to both friends and family. And many including myself have both sold and bought homes using the help of this app. Download and become Truly impressed with Trulia.
Was a great experience until the app lost the heart/save functionality. The interface is there and you can heart/save but the app no longer records the action so you lose all your saves. As someone who is looking at 3 states and several homes, losing all that work was a deal breaker. Trulia app really did me dirty.
I'm just starting my homeownership journey. This app has been really helpful in showing me homes in the areas I'm interested in and how much they are going to cost. I really liked the 'similar homes' feature because they are just a little different than what I'm looking for but still viable options I may not have even come across.
App is okay but could be alot better. The lack of any ability to configure my feed for my preferences is very annoying. Ex. I am not interested in rentals of any kind. I constantly receive notifications (which i disabled) from the LA region which I am not remotely located near. The development and product teams should consider providing users with the ability to configure their experience to their preferences. If not, I suggest NEVER look at regions where you don't want to see in your feed.
