The notifications, can't be customized. So it constantly recommends everything thatvis the exact opposite of my searches. 3 bdr, pet friendly under $2k month. It suggests 1 bdr places that hates dogs, in bad area's of town.
Worked well up until recently. Had to factory reset my Galaxy S9+ and now after signing in, i get notifications about new rentals in my search area, but will i tap on them to view, the app opens and asks me to get started on setting up alerts and doesn't show me any at all... Submitted a support ticket a while ago, still no answer. Not sure how to fix it, have logged out and back in, nothing. Be nice to get an answer...
Trulia is a Great app to use it lets you draw in the areas your intrsted in on a map helps you find an agent if buying if you need a rental they have it sll you will find what you want and its free! Love it Thanks Trulia Carrie Segura
Glitchy. I get alerts about apartment rentals and when I click on the notification it doesn't take me to the listing on the app. It says for me to begin the search every time. There are no alerts mentioned on the app itself and it is frustrating.
It has a lot of good properties but the problem is I've sent out and tried try to contact about 10 of the properties listed... through the apps "one click contact" and I've never received an answer back from not one property...I've also used the "call" button and have never gotten a live person...only messages and NONE have been returned...Trulia should try contacting the properties provided #'s and verify that someone calls back b4 listing on your App...waste of my time
It doesn't seem to have a way to restrict searches to specific zipcodes. As a result, I continue to see listings for rentals on other islands, such as Maui or Oahu, when I live (and intend to continue to live) on the "Big Island" (Island of Hawaii) which is separated by hundreds of miles of ocean from those other islands. It would be the equivalent of someone in Miami, Florida, being shown listings in Cuba or Jamaica.
Excellent images, very good info on properties, easy phone contacts for view of properties.
You mean to tell me that there's no homes available in Buffalo or the surrounding areas because I beg to differ I went on craigslist and found 1300 of them just in the surrounding areas including my area so this app is not showing me anything that's available with or without the filters that I put on I don't know what's wrong with it but it's not working...
One of the most informative apps for rentals/for sale homes or apts. Or whatever your looking for. They have it all!
Alerts are broken. I get notifications on my phone, but when i go to the app it tells me i have to "get started" on the alerts page. I've pressed get started a few times and nothing happens :/
The app is mostly okay, but it seems to completely disregard filters. Ive signed out, signed in, reset filters, deleted the app, blah blah blah, done all of it. The app continues to send notifications for houses that don't allow pets, which ends up being about 3/4 of the results. In such a competitive rental area, it sends me continuous notifications about houses im not interested in, which ends up in me just turning them off because it's frustrating to deal with it. Likely won't use it anymore.
When I use the filters, zero results. I then remove ALL filters, zero results in my area. That can't be right. Any notification I get, takes me to a screen with zero results... I will be uninstalling
It's always explain very very well,,I like the information, please continue to send alerts!
Quick, easy and accurate information!
Very convenient and the replies are very quick.
Solid app for looking through listings, love the statistics for the neighborhood you are looking at. Only reason I dont give 5 stars is because the map is not responsive or sometimes downright obnoxious. For instance, I will click on a listing and instead of opening the listing it will think I've tapped the neighborhood, which then triggers an animation and hides all entries outside of the neighborhood. To get back to my search I have to back out and 'remove boundary'.
Very nicely done much better and more user friendly than their website. My favorite part is the draw feature so that you can draw a blob around the area you want to look for homes. I was able to make a big horse shoe shape around the peninsula that I was looking at for homes so that I could find something near the beach but not on the beach. Great work on the app now if only the website was this good you wouldn't need the app lol. ;)
I went with three stars because it won't let you do 2 ½ stars. This app is almost entirely useless to me. I am looking for a HOUSE to rent, and all it sends me are notifications to apartment complexes. Oh, and double wide trailers. Sure, you can filter the results for single family home, but unless you're using the app to search for what you're looking for on an hourly basis, the notifications it sends you are all for apartments.
Unlike other apps this shows the Vancouver, WA area without Portland, OR listings, which I was immediately impressed with. Two different states, different laws, taxes, healthcare systems, so thank you for that. Unfortunately, trying to scroll through pictures of a listing makes the listing close. Terribly glitchy and FRUSTRATING to use. Not being able to eliminate listings I'm not interested in is also very frustrating.
The app works extremely well compared to others and it's my default one when looking at apartments. It has 2 main issues however (at least on Android): It shows me rooms for rent on my feed and notifications without an option to turn that off, I want to look at private apartments only. Second, the share feature gives you 3 paragraphs of text. The people I'm sharing the apartment with already have the app, every apartment I send to my partner shouldn't also include a link to download the app.
Most of the app is OK but say if you're searching for two bedroom rentals, the map view seems to always show the lowest price for a property. The map shows hundreds of places in my price range filtered for 2bd, but what is displayed are actually 1bd prices and I need to click through to see 2bd on each pin individually, many of which end up outside the filter range. Not a very good user experience and tedious that I have to look at every individual property to see if it fits.
Everytime I click a notification I am taken to a blank page and there is suddenly nothing I'm my alerts. It really defeats the purpose of the alerts.
It works but misses a few listing from other sources and needs better search flexibility. Two suggestions: 1) Very annoying to stumble on numerous winter/summer rentals when looking for annual. Wish you could screen them out. 2) I wish you could have a button "do not show again" for the listings that you looked at and not interested for whatever reason.
I like this app, but recently the alerts tab stopped loading alert results. I still get alert notifications, but if I select them it just loads the alerts tab with a button that says "get started," even though I've configured alerts. Tapping this button also just takes me to the search tab. So yeah. No idea why or what I'm supposed to do. Seems like a bug.
This app would be perfect if the notifications for "houses that are right for the you" actually paid attention to your saved searches. App is easy to use but I'm getting notifications at least five times a day for houses in my price range that don't take into account my other requirements for a rental home. I'm getting sick of getting rentals that at first glance seem perfect for me and then I open them in the app and see Pets Allowed: No. That's not what I've put down I'm looking for or saved.
Everything spectacular, best app for finding homes for sale or rent and apartments for rent, one tiny thing I wish they had was having a space to put in budget and pets allowed which ones stuff like that but as you're scanning through the rentals they show fit what I'm looking for anyway. I love this app. Updates regularly - new places and when places go off the market. Edit: there is a spot for that stuff on the search bar. You can also draw the area you're looking at specifically 😋👍
