TruthFinder Background Check

Better app than others when it works. I pay monthly for this app for about 2 yrs.. The 1st year it worked great, no problems. Unfortunately, in the past year I get an error message almost every time I look someone up. Sometimes it will let me see the results of 1 person, but when I try a 2nd person I get the error. Some days I get the error on all inquiries. I have Uninstalled and re-installed it but that didn't help. I have sent about 5 messages to the support team, but no response.

Tested it on myself to see if it even worked, most of the data is outdated or incorrect, some of the data is surprising too. The email and phone number provided havent been used in 10+years and it also showed an email I've never used before. Also the one feature I was interested in, the criminal record portion, is locked behind a paywall and doesn't even say if they have a record or not.

Pretty much as I expected. A small "taste" of info but anything of USA requires you to create an "account" and then ("wait for it!") Send them some rather spendy (for basic "data") MONEY! I'll pass. I'm pretty sure I didn't shoot JFK or have a few parking tickets. Also, the list of "Associates" is dominated by people who I've never heard of which seems rather odd. If they can't get THAT right I find that a problem.

I loved this app. I have a stalker so I downloaded it to find out who I was dealing with. It used to let me use it for free then it stopped so I got the unlimited version and canceled it because I yet again had to pay even more for phone numbers and then again for full reports. It just gets more expensive. There are other services out there that seem more expensive but they include everything where this one makes it look affordable and then they keep charging you and unlimited has a set amount.

Fairly accurate from what I have explored so far. Having trouble with one page, it asks to verify you want to continue but the continue button/tab is not visible. The page wont scroll up or down. I get locked there no way out except to close the app completely and start over. Popup for this review wouldn't allow me to continue to explore until I did a review. Could be my phone but haven't had these issues with other apps in the past. Otherwise so far so good.

I really love this app, however there are some things that I have concerns about. That being, the ability to remove suggested reports. I was able to delete history, but unable to delete suggested reports. Otherwise a great app. Very good work. I thought look ups were free, now it says I have to upgrade to get unlimited. Your info says" unlimited basic"

This app works great, I would have given it 5 stars in a heartneat if it didn't continuously ALWAYS ask you to search for yourself and automatically try to sell you more detailed reports constantly. Semi-deceptive in that sense as well, you figure it out quick enough, but then it does it automatically and forces you to close the app and restart over...asking to search for yourself again. Bottom Line: It is severely annoying at times, but it gives the best free results I have found.

I really appreciate having an app that helps me locate and see basic info on people that you used yo be able to get in a phone directory, but in addition, this app gives you a bit more info. Not sure I want to pay. Update : More times then not, when I search a person's address, I get " Oops. There's an error loading your report. Try again later." Again and again, repeated error. This was my go to address finder, to replace a phone directory. I'm so disappointed. Please fix this or explain?

Pretty confused because I have been using this app every other day for the past year. I wasn't able to leave a review, so I went to look at my installed apps and it wasn't showing up. I opened it and used it again to make sure I wasn't crazy. So I just RE- "installed" it. I only use it as a backup verification for my main PeopleLooker app. It's not the most accurate or give the most data, but it is what it is. All of these aggregators are collecting data we could all get for free but we're lazy.

Nothing even started to work at all. No results for basic phone number search. The app has a feature called Maps, it freezes the entire application as well as just about anything else I clicked on also made the app freeze like search with my contacts. The entire app is just a big glitch. I found more information on the phone# i tried to search in 2 seconds while half asleep on a Yahooweeeey search engine.

4 stars because there were a few phone numbers and correlations that were not accurate, however, most of the things were right. The issue I had was that I didn't need to know about all of the ppl the app was right about, I needed the info about the ones not easily identified and those were the ones with no info.. 5 stars tho for the ease of searching and price point. I felt like it was worth it in the long run.

I used to love it but every time I try to search for a report it freezes up and won't respond past the screen with the red banner at the top warning you that the report may contain graphic content and I have to force it to close and go into the browser app to be able to get the report without the freeze, but I keep expecting that it will be fixed the next time I try but so far it hasn't been....

I'm going to be honest I was HIGHLY skeptical about this app....I have looked at MULTIPLE different apps saying they do "free background checks" but you only get to use it once before they make you buy the premium version, but this app allows you to search up a person as many times as you want, the only thing you gotta pay extra for is to search emails or phone numbers. Which in my book is a win either way, 5 stars from me. Great Work Developers!!

If app only worked as good as their billing department it would be worth having. I've used the premium app for a few years and regret it. Info is outdated by years, the phone numbers are disconnected numbers, email addresses for from people who lived at that address before, vechiles are junked btt they list them.... etc etc etc. Always check your bank statement after cancelation of your donation for the service because they will continue to charge and collect.

I've had this service for several years and it has typically been very good. However, for the last few months it glitches and it is not providing detailed info, and some people aren't showing up at all. And now, everytime I try to go back and look at my past reports, it asks me if I've searched myself, and when I say yes, it goes blank screen. If I say no, it forces me to search my name.. but in neither case am I able to go back and look at my saved reports. I'm looking for another service.

When it works it's great. But after subscribing to the unlimited phone search, the app would no longer work. Customer support suggested I use the website version. But I couldn't log in so I asked for a refund. But they refused to give a refund even though I only had the service for two days. Trying to use the website version for free searches is a joke because of the endless advertising that keeps you hogtied while you wait for a result. Eventually you will just give up.

A miserable experience. It's what you don't want with this type of service. First, even if you just sign up for 1 month it automatically renews your subscription every month. Second the info which is alluded to is not really available unless you upgrade to premium. This is deceiving as you thought you were going to get that info when you signed up. I have used Google with more success than this. Last when you go to cancel they just cancel not reimburse you. It figures.

Disappointed. Works reasonably but two big issues for me: 1 - The ability to save/download reports.is not available which means you have to hand cooy or screen print any info you need.They say "Please note, the PDF download option it not available on all mobile devices. Additionally, you my need to use your phone browser as opposed to the mobile app.". Major issue for.me. 2 - Ability to filter or sort on age would reduce the noise in lots of reports. Disappointed.

Very outdated information as I've looked at my family members info and it's not correct by about a few years at least. Even when I paid for a subscription it was the same information as the free version so why pay?? This would be a very decent app. If you guys updated the correct information.

Many times inaccurate results. Will combine results of people with same name in same city and you have no way of knowing. Will lock your account if you get a new device and try to log in on it. No explanation as to why you are locked out.

The app keeps asking if I've searched for myself. If I say yes, which I have, it goes to a white screen and freezes. If I say no, it forces me to the search page. This is not allowing me to review reports I've already done. Do better! Plus, the information is not very accurate.... I mean it's hit or miss.

This app is NOT FREE. The paid app is $30. a month. It is slow and gets slower if you use it. It claims you have unlimited number of look ups but if you actually use it they claim you are breaking the law, close the account and rip off the remaining money. Read the Terms of Use. They have the absolute right to change the services, automatically change the requirements and best of all... the have the absolute right to force you to do whatever they ask. You agree as soon as you open app.

Only semi accurate on the free portion of information, and false on several others, some pretty major. I looked myself up. It claims more to be found in every area but I know there isn't in some areas,as it tries to get you to pay for it. I believe services like this should be illegal though, as they can be used very badly.

Although my experience wasnt what i had expected and cancelled my subscription i will say they were excellent about my cancellation. Not one problem! Not one delay! Absolutly trouble free which was refreshing and appriciated. They even additional time FREE after my cancellation. My experience may very well have been just a hiccup in the app. Thanx
