Unfortunately TRX didn't invest in a good and clear app. Many exercises but not organized. Impossible to select a Level, like beginner , and have an adapted workout program with it. There is no pause during the videos with focus on the good position, which is very important with TRX exercise. I am really really decieved : (

Love the app and my straps, BUT it has started randomly opening whenever I attempt to do speech to text for any other applicantions. Since I use STT about 50 times a day this is unacceptable. Will have to uninstall and reinstall every time I want to use it... Hopefully they come up with a smart TV app soon!

New update is horrible. No functionality, where have all my favourite workouts and programs gone? "Update" I've had to spend a considerable amount of time in quarantine due to travel. Early this year I was able to do a 14 day program with a shedual that was very easy to set up and find. The new update is extremely frustrating, you are not able to do a program rather one workout at a time. It's impossible to get any consistency or have any visibility on what your next workout is.

This is a review in progress as a new owner of the TRX Home 2. The app doesn't start off great and why it has 2 stars. It is locked into portrait mode even when on a tablet and I'm unable to force it to switch. This completely defeats the purpose of my stand that I use and makes using the app for guided work outs even more cumbersome.

Would be so much better if the Chromecast feature was added. I've got a television a few feet away thati can't use.

Not the best app. plus TRX is not honoring the key to free token. Signed up for free yearly sub trail and then I start getting charged $50 monthly. not cool. I still use the product though.

Purchased a $5.99 membership. My card was charged but the app didn't recognize my payment. Customer support is non-existant.

Like others have said, basically the information is there, but the presentation of it is horrible. Nothing seems that intuitive. I have this installed on both my Samsung Note 8 and a new Lenovo yoga tablet and it's more difficult than it's worth. Some workouts It prompts me to download and others not. Even after downloading I can't "start workout" as the button doesn't seem to work. But if I go to the next workout it might. Using this as a "trainer" feels complicated and almost TOO quick. If I could integrate it with my smart TV where I can use the remote to pause would be so much more helpful. It's been challenging to "cast" since there isn't that feature within the app. I can "cast the screen" but that seems to completely bring the app to it's knees. I find it more easy and productive to just pull up something on YouTube on my smart TV and use that instead. I received a Free 1 year subscription to this with the purchase of the straps and I will likely NOT renew until they can figure this out. In 2021 integration shouldn't be so complicated. People are willing to pay for things that are simple, intuitive and that just work.

It's been almost a mth since I started and I'm still at a loss (too many workouts to choose from. That's good.) So I chose a training plan to follow. Navigating thru this app is easy, I get to choose how hard and how long I want to workout. Countdowns on each workouts are clearly indicated verbally and on the screen. It's nice to know if I'm reaching the end of a set or entire workout, I can push harder. Only problem is, this app does not sync with my garmin watch. Anyone can help with that?

I really like the workouts and guidance they provide. I'm also very impressed with their team and how quickly they responded when I had an issue. *Edit: I've had to reinstall app several times due to app errors. Workouts not downloading or being downloaded but won't play. I still really enjoy the app when it works but it is problematic and frustrating when getting ready for a workout only to have the app not work.

Tried to sign into my account but my password was apparently wrong. Requested a password reset email that never arrived. I ended up singing in with another email. When I tried to activate my key that came with the trx kit, it wouldn't let me, as I already have an account. Seems overly complicated for what should be a very simple process. Also, you can only input your initial weight & height in feet and lbs. When I go to the menu and change this and save, it just goes back to lbs.

Great workouts, however, app freezes and crashes a lot. Most of the time, the clips showing me how to do the exercise will not play. App will only work over wifi for me, even though I have it set to work on mobile data, which is also disappointing because my home gym in in my garage and my wifi barely reaches, so it cuts out and freezes a lot, plus, I won't be able to access the workouts if I was out and about, say, at a park.

Not worth the money! I have tried several workouts and the app freezes up constantly when I try to access a workout. When the app does work, the cueing is very poor. The "coach" calls out the move with a very brief description of the strap position then tells you to" get ready!". No alignment cues or description of what muscle is targeted. The transitions are so fast that I constantly had to pause the workout to adjust the straps and try to see what the move was. Very disappointing!

Love it but I wish there was a few more options. You have to hit PLAY to go forward or back an exercise and it would be nice to be able to do that while paused to try to get ahead of the timer. Also, adding some instructions to the visual guide would be beneficial. Otherwise the concept of the app is great. Wish I could stream it to my TV though. My last workout I balanced my phone on the doorknob 🤣

The app definitely has some solid features (the workouts are great, the ability to search for them based on various filters, etc.), however it has sooo many bugs it's infuriating to use most of the time. Further to that, it just has too many unpolished features (for example, if you select a multi-week workout plan that gets scheduled into your calendar, there's no way to adjust the order/dates if you happen to miss one along the way). The bones are there, but this app needs some serious TLC.

The positives about this app is that it makes choosing a workout that fits your time schedule very easy. Workouts are also categorized based on activity and difficulty, so it's easy to choose the workout that is right for you, some workouts are easy, others are pretty challenging. My only complaint about the app is that the commentary can get monotonous over time. Other than that, I think it's a great app that makes working out at home convenient and fun.

New app is horrible. When listening to music as well as workout you can no longer hear instructor since the new videos are quiet and can't adjust volume independently. And there is no music in app so lots of silence. Can no longer download to use later at a park or on the go. Home screen tries to get you to sign up for unlimited even if you are already signed up. Please bring old app back until the new app is really ready for prime time.

New update is garbage. Instructors don't clearly tell you when to start and stop moves, when to rest of what the names of the movements are. It is like they expect you to be looking at the screen the whole time which impossible. They also don't make any effort to delineate explaing an exercise and doing. Half the time by the time I figured out I was expected to be doing an exercise rather then watching an explanation the instructor was already moving on to something else.

Ing. W. Nov 25, 2020

The workouts are great, just wish there were of them. The concept behind the app is good, but the actual app bugs so much! The schedule doesn't work properly, the long-term programs don't work, the entire app frequently crashes, and the "start workout" button on a lot of the workouts don't work. Makes me wonder what I'm paying for.

Bre. Sep 4, 2020

What a disappointment. The app crashes if you try to select anything other than trainer in the search. When you do search, the results are worthless, you can't do anything with the info. The classes are really confusing for a new user with no experience and most of them you need other pieces of their gear not just the trx system.

Ste. H. Mar 28, 2020

I paid for the app after getting a year free. I thought they had fixed some issues but nope. The first day I used it after buying it, it worked great, even synched to Google fit on my phone seamlessly. The second day, it wouldn't sync, but the workouts had loaded. Today is the third day and NOTHING works. It won't download workouts after hitting 'get', the google Fit button is buggy, it says there's an error and 'workouts don't exist' when trying to search for suspension workouts. COME ON GUYS!

Rya. K. Dec 6, 2020

Great concept and when it works is wonderful, but rarely works. I can't download workouts unless I'm OFF WiFi. Once workouts are downloaded it's hit or miss of hitting start does anything. If they do start it seems many the video freezes on some exercises so I don't know how to do them. I expect a lot more out of an app that is looking for a paid subscription.

Love TRX and the workouts! I think the app is pretty good, good options for what you are looking for strength, cardio, running etc. I gave it a 3 for lack of consistency between workouts...some give you previews, some do not, some give you the ability to schedule (linked to my google calendar ❤) but others do not. Over all good app but maybe make it more consistent? Thanks!

New app was downloaded automatically, there was no notification of this new platform, I was in the middle of a 4 week program which is now gone. I have had several email exchanges with support to try and find out if the old programs map to the new ones (no response yet) and finally tried to use the app today and my subscription has not been carried across to this new version. A bit of a shambles really..

I'm new to TRX. For a beginner, it would be great if the example workouts (provides poster) were accessible on the mobile app. Additionally, either my phone or the app had a glitch and didn't properly record my work, and I am unable to connect my Samsung watch to he app as a heart rate sensor. The exercises are difficult but I know I will improve with practice and as I build strength.

J. H. Nov 12, 2020

Needs improvement. It has a very small library of exercises, and they are all looped video with dubbed instructions. It should be a live class with real intensity. It also doesn't recommend exercise routine. Come on, if I tell you my goals, recommend a new (or favorite) exercise for the next work out. Ask me how hard it was and gauge if I need to go up or down. Even free apps do this! I'll let the subscription expire after the trial ends.
