Tsuro - The Game of the Path

Tsuro is one of our favorite 15-20min board games. I was glad to see a quality digital version had been produced. Game play is excellent and graphics are stunning for what it is. Absolutely love your traveled path stays highlighted. It's amazing to see how some games we never cross paths while others it seems like it's non-stop. NOTE: for the developer. If anything is to be added I would love to see the option to have a top down view which allows you to take a screen shot at the end of the game.

It's fun to play alone or with the kids (7 and 11 years old girls). Two minor things... Adding "friends" (i.e. other devices) and creating a game with them is really awkward (there are 3 options that are all confusing to some extent), the best way is to use the "friend code". Bluetooth connection would be a welcome addition. Also, the options in the "Settings" should be more obvious, e.g. I have no idea what the hourglass/rocket icons do as the app offers no explanation. Anyway, it has great music, controls, and graphics, and more importantly the kids love it. :)

Fun tile laying game where you seek to run your opponents off the board. Play against AI or remote opponents on the interweb. Loses a star for failing to support local multiplayer right there on the living room couch, but otherwise good. Some aspects of the UI are counter intuitive and the app is very hit or miss about connecting to record game stats. Doesn't matter too much as the core gameplay is solid and frustration free.

I have some issues. First no way that I can see to play against an AI. Secondly it you can't see all of the left tile because it goes off screen and the right tile is quite often covered by the direction info. Third item is there is no way to clearly see two of the corners. It would be nice to be able to turn the board.

I bought the VR version for Oculus and love it. So I decided to put it on my tablet. I bought it, installed it and opened it. It opened, but menu text was a jumble of characters and unreadable. I tried uninstalling, but when I went to reinstall Google says they had given me a refund I didn't ask for. So I bought it again. Same thing. Unreadable text and unplayable. UPDATE : Not working yet, but their cust service alone deserves 5 stars. They are working on the problem and may custom build!

First time I have played Tsuro, but it has been on my list for a long time. Got it during a sale as well, so you can't beat the price to try out a new game. Love it, so simple but smart and balanced, you could easily just drop anyone into this game and they can learn it. Great job porting it over to the digital world as well. It has confirmed that I will be purchasing a phyical copy of this game as well for the collection.

I do love this game. But, the game loads with the newer colors that I dont care for. In the settings the original colors are there. I have to change to the new colors, close the settings, reopen the settings, then change to the original colors. Trivial, for sure. But considering a game lasts as little as 2 minutes, I shouldnt have to spend 4 minutes changing settings every time. lol

Bad UX!!! Sure, it looks all cool starting out, but to get anything done, it's hopeless! And especially when it comes to playing with others. First of all, description suggests you can invite friends through Facebook. I assumed that meant I would host the game (since I paid for it), and my friends could play for free. Nope! I linked to my Facebook account, but still found nobody in my friends list. It took me a while to figure out that it probably only shows people who actually have the game and have linked with Facebook. It also took me forever to figure out how to add a friend manually. It was in the most unintuitive place! And now that I have added a friend, all I see is a friend code instead of a proper name. I also can't delete anyone from the friend's list. I also can't figure out a way to stop an online game that's in progress. I seem to have a few games stalled - probably because the other side is also having problems figuring out how to work this app. And the FAQ on their website was not at all helpful for me!

EDIT: I have disabled the notification for other games and updated my score to a 4. Would still be nice to be asked about this when starting the game for the first time instead of having to manually go disable the notification. The gameplay is fine, would be nice to have an option for simple 2D graphics. The reason for 1 star is that it shows ad notifications for other games.

First experience playing the game (Tsuro) proper. App is fine, smooth play, a few superficial bugs. Computer player is 10% on the low end, losing within a few moves, and 20-25% towards racking up a challenging score.

I liked the real game, so I saved up for a while to get this on mobile (I'm a broke college kid so $5 is like a Powerball win) Yet it just stays on this white loading screen. It never changes. I tried letting it load for an hour and it just stays on that loading screen. I really dont want to refund it and I dont want to have a negative look on this forever. Please fix this soon, I'd love to play it.

Just learned about this game in the last few months. Been playing the board game version. It's an amazing way to spend 10-20 minutes! Incredibly easy to pick up, but still more than challenging enough to remain interesting. I'd recommend this game to any friends and/or families looking for a great group activity.

Didn't know anything about this game before buying the app. Beautiful app: colors, graphics, sound, movement. No problems whatsoever running it on my pc via BlueStacks. Game is easy to learn and a lot of fun.

(Updated - 28/10/18) It's a great game, very easy to play and this is an excellent implementation of the original game. Devs have been good in keeping contact with players and have fixed significant issues that impact on the experience. I do recommend this one.

The game is great and really gets you thinking. My only complant is that I think iy was a buck or two too expensive. There are plenty of other great board game apps out there for cheaper. Aside from that though I adore this game and will play it many many more times in the coming months.

I have to say I am very happy with the devs of the game. They were able to fix and understand a problem, a pretty significant one at that, and made this review go from a 2.5 star to a perfect 5 star. Now I can enjoy the relaxing game to it's full potential. Thanks thunderbox!

I have the board game. This is a nice adaption. It's fun with a few different win conditions (like cm distance of path built) that take advantage of being digital. It's even fun to play solo.

Please fix...often can't connect to server. Problem isn't on my end. For a $5 game, I expect better. Multi-player really needs streamlining, I'm staring at that happy cloud for a long time.

A great quick relaxing game that is easy to learn. My only complaint is that the internet game interface needs to be rethought. I have seen the same 4 player game that nobody is playing for 3 days now. Let that stuff time out. I have purchased on both Steam and Android.

A superb strategy game whose elements are instantly recognisable as those of the greats: a simple board with deceptively simple gameplay whose rules are learned in under 5 minutes, but whose skillful application will take a significant commitment to master. I can't recommend Tsuro highly enough.

Really fun. Could maybe use more customization features, like top-down view of the board; difficult to look at from that angle.

Love the game. So easy to understand and play but so hard to master. No bugs so far. Final results come up very quickly so don't get a chance to review your game. Otherwise brilliant.

Good app now false positive antivirus detection sorted. One feature i would like to see is a option to be able to say start with the board already open rather than seeing the animation of the board comming out of box

this would be one of the best boardgame apps but I cannot connect to google play to add friends and I have tried several times to contact thunderbox to get help but I don't think they exist anymore. I'm tired of playing the bots and want to play against my friends and other people.

Game is fantastic, played only local thus far but online should be as exciting. Was reading previous reviews before getting it, I have an S9 and it works fine, no glitches of any kind, game is very smooth. Only sad thing is that I haven't bought it earlier.
