TTS Reader - reads aloud books, all books!

This app is extremely good. It may not include it's own TTS voices however you can choose whatever you want to use, even install a separate app to add more voices instead of default. There are tons of ways to customize the app and the ads are minimal. I use an old version of IVONA and these paired together work incredible.

Best TTS I've found so far. Once I got the voice settings the way I like them, sometimes forget I am listening to AI speech. Interface could be less clumsy. Would like to see highlighting of text as it is being read.

Been using it for a long time. The best part is that you can fiddle on settings with almost everything. It'd be helpful if the settings were a bit more intuitive, though

Useful application, even though has advertisements. Major requirement is that of TTS handling of Unicode languages. I tried to read Bangla books which didn't read correctly. This needs to be fixed. Also, why do I have to change my default TTS settings just for this application? It should offer selection option for supported languages within the TTS engine. Good start, but needs improvement!

Pretty good app. Ive been using it for a few months now, and I am unaware of a better free app like this one. The only issues I have are 1) when occasionally opening up new books. For some reason, the app seems to have the habit of opening up a previous book read.... which requires me to attempt reopening the new book several times. This can be quite frustrating at times. And 2) when I pause and play, or add a bookmark/highlight (which are great features) the app glitches and closes down.

I've been using prestigio reader for some time. And it is a very good reader. Thought I'd try a tts reader as the 1 on prestigio didn't have enough options. I downloaded about 6. But this is by far better than them all. The interface is good and the reader has lots of options. Plus the widget looks good too. Can not fault this at all. Dev needs to improve the icon on play store as it doesn't stand out like the others. Almost missed it. It doesn't look as professionally made like the app.

Perfect. Just perfect. Does exactly what I want and more. If I hadn't ran out of credit, I'd have purchased the license straight away. I'm definitely purchasing a license in my next paid Apps splurge. Definitely worth the money. If they had their own speech engine, or something that can work without Google entirely, I'd give 5 Stars. Keep up the good work!

If you're looking to JUST have it read a book to you, it does ok. But if you zoom in to see a word better, the zoomed in part becomes the whole page... you can't scroll around. If you are reading for school or something, it it doesn't allow you to highlight passages. It let's you select a passage, but doesn't save the highlighting which makes this all but useless for a student.

This is awesome. Uses the built in Google TTS engine, so if you want to change the voice, speed, or pitch, use the Google TTS options in Settings. Very nice. I'm quite surprised at how well this reads. The app also has a speed read function to help you read faster. It also has the standard expected functions of bookmarks, fonts, colors, etc. I've only used it for about an hour and didn't notice any advertisements whatsoever. Compared to paid apps to do the same, I ain't missing anything. FREE

I never rated for any app before. But this app is quite useful that I want to share my opinion with you. It reads alouds any type of file. Epub, pdf, document any sort. You can also sort your books as you like. The audio sound is manageable on your own and its sound is really clear. I loved this app and it has a lot more feature than this. I am fully satisfied. Thank you. :)

I want you to add these features in TTS : 1. An option to highlight the line which is being read.. 2. New line and para change without a full stop aren't clearly read. So, make it work properly... Everything else is fine.. A good reader, supports all formats, Text to speech for books.... #Best, If you are interested in reading books and you don't have the audio formats of the books then you are at the right place...

Sooo close! Ive been looking for a TTS reader That loads books and reads them, either with no highlighted text, or with a highlighter that goes in chunks or paragraphs. The real value in an app like this is being able to read in chunks and hear the audio. Multi sensory learning. This app appeared perfect until I got to 1st page and it skipped early to the next page, ahead of the audio. Fix that, and its perfect and best in market. Promise purchase with remedy.

The app doesn't recall what page I was last reading, it always goes back at least 50 pages, maybe to the last page I was using TTS on? Being able to highlight text while reading would be a good addition. Also I've never found an ebook reader app that doesn't have random page brakes and spacing, but it seems less frequent with this app.

Very impressive best read i found that works on android 10. It look like they haven't updated it in about a year so i don't have confidence it will stay around. Missing star because of this and the fact notation is missing. Text to speak it could be improved a little by adding an another fastfoward/rewind button to read paragraph or allow select to speek( even though is the best i seen). Good job.

Very good app, l will rate it 100%. Just want to let you know the voice is not soothing at all, it is harsh in the ears. No matter how you lower the pitch , it is still not soothing to the ear. Please it is time to review the voice. This is a lot matter than the India accent though. Please keep trying for a soothing voice, until you get a perfect voice.The App is amazing. What l love most is the library. All my Ebooks are in a perfect collection and well arranged. Great job .

There are a few glitches, for example it starts on its own when the mobile idisconnected from the car bluetooth, also sometimes it starts from a random position;I would request the developer to look into it. But the best thing about the app is, it works perfectly with Ivona, in my opinion the best voice we ever had in Android :) .

Thank you very much for developing this app, it's the best app of its kind from all the ones I've tried. I suggest adding a function to allow a playlist to automatically play the next book in the queue so you don't have to select the next book manually from the playlist. This would be such a convenience and would make a world of difference! But nonetheless, the app is very well made 🙏🏿

I love this app but there are a few issues I've ran into.One is when reading it messes up the words between pages, as in it doesnt read them properly and distorts them together or part of the word isn't read properly.2nd is it skips whole sentences (In certain books), I don't know why this happens but if you don't see it happen you could miss something big.I wish you could put replacements into certain sub-folders and move the new rule to the top, its really annoying when you have a lot of them.

I absolutely love this. I love listening to books while doing other things. Like I tend to work overnights and I often use audiobooks to get me through those shifts and this gives me so many more options. My only issue is that it will always read headers and footers. That can really disrupt the flow of a good story. If you gave us an option for the tts to ignore headers and footers it would be greatly appreciated from this user and I would change my rating of this app from 4 stars to 5.

Powerful app. If the blue status and navigation colours can be changed easily that would be nice

Great app. I would just prefer if there was an option to navigate throught text by paragraph rather than only by page. I sometimes tend to repeat the last paragraph for a missed detail rather than having to go through the whole page in order to review a tiny detail at the bottom of it.

This app is moving so slow now when trying to scroll back through pages. Can't recommend. Edit: Changing how words are pronounced doesn't seem to be working. Also, it loses your place too easily and the "skip" functionality skips too much (it should only skip single lines). I might go back to using a different TTS.

App keeps closing the current book being read, defaults to the main library page. I then have to go back to recents and reopen the book.

After using it for more than a month.. it's stopped reading the text.. otherwise i really enjoyed it when it was working
