If it doesn't work
- first of all check your media-volume level. It's probably on mute (use your device's buttons). Second
- make sure you have the necessary voice/language downloaded, as we use your devices languages & voices. If it doesn't recognise a website it might be because it redirects to a different address. Try to use the "http://" prefix (or "https://") in the website address if you haven't. Use full website address. If that doesn't work, simply paste the text from the website.

I agree with other people that what's great about this is you can actually put long texts on it. I don't know if I just didn't see the feature but I hope the app could have an adjustment setting for how fast it reads and how low or high the voice is just like other tts readers. I will rate this higher if that's added. Thanks!
1. Websites don't load... just spins endlessly 2. Unable to downgrade from Premium (though it says we can cancel Premium subscription at any time). There us no option to "cancel Premium subscription " in Preferences, nor any other menu item for the same
Immediately locks up when click the play button. One-week new phone. Cannot pause or access any menus within the app. 'Close all apps' has no effect. This keeps speaking in background no matter what. Must use force stop to quit the app. The app works at reading imported PDF in the background. Just cannot exit nor scroll nor anything else.
A little laggy when I initially press play, but that could be because my phone is really full on memory. The new update fixed the pause issue and now when I switch back to the app it continues to play where I left off. That is great because I used to have to pause and then go back to the app.
I love your app However, the 'new' button is easily 'touchable' when you open the app, and if you do touch it, it wipes out whatever is written. Can you please consider to remove it from front of app? Also can you add confirmation prompt to erase current text if someone touched new button just in case they did it accidentally?
I have installed this app, after many phone upgrades, and I am rather please with it. I like the ability to change the accents on the voices, and the ability to playback info from my browser, or something I wrote myself. Easy to use...
I have used this reliably for many years now and it still helps me plough through highly technical text revision in an otherwise relaxed and enjoyable manner and best of all no eye strain, plus notes and quotes are just pause and copy easy...! Thanks allot for this app as it has really helped me in terms of accessibility and ergonomically acquiring new learnings in an easy way.
In free version, (1) Cannot select text to copy in the text area! (2) My Tamil language document contains 2588 Characters. When I press "Covert to audio" button, it strucks. So what the character limit for an online-only-available-langauge or in free version? (3) Converted MP3 Song's Bitrate, Channel are not found. So Cannot convert, edit that file. If you know the answers for this, tell in the descriptions in clear-cut manner!
I've been using this to read any and everything aloud when I don't want to read it the old fashioned way. Works flawlessly, I've been using this for almost three years now, you can even save the audio as a mp3, super convenient.
Your app is supposed to be a good app but needs lots of work. The voice works well but I bought this because you said I can import pdf / read pdf, but all it does is import the text. I cant control pages, go to specific pages in the pdf, it's all a text dump that doesnt convert well. The punctuation do not copy over correctly. Reading voice stops midway sentences. This is not what I hoped for
It's useful. Just the speaker is a bit funny sounding and sometimes I'm editing the text for a story I'm writing and I exit the app for a few and it is all just gone. Other than that it is a useful and good app but I wouldn't waste your time on it
It promises to open PDF files, however, it doesn't open PDF files at all, even the pro free version which I just purchased. "Convert any PDF file to plain text and speech" - Not true. This app should be removed, because it does not deliver. I want my money back! - emailed the developer 10.06.2019. I will keep you updated what happens.
Very poor my sole purpose was to record text to speech, and it only recorded 3 minutes and not longer. Plus it does not continue to play once ur phone is on screen save mode. Don't waste ur money buying this. It's not good.
Good app but the bug & error in this app is that it stops after reanding 3 dots preceded by 3 consequetive letters in hindi ( स. अ. व. ), should provide speed rate-pitch & language search bar by typing language name , so that language can easily be found without scrolling for saving of time. It export audio in waw format but it should better to Export audio in mp3/m4a format & problem exist if we send audio to whatsap i.e export to whatsap cant be done . It provide pdf reading for paid version
I opened this app and attempted to open a pdf file and it asked to upgrade for $11.99, after upgrade it still will not open pdf files, I have tried 6 so far. What a waste of money, this needs to be fixed immediately or a redund is in order, otherwise this is nothing more than a scam.
Its very useful app. But generated audio file is too speedy. If I choose slow or rediculously slow also. But I feel the speed is perfect only if i feed a text and click the play button. But generated audio file is very speedy. Fix it pls.
There is a problem in app when i write long paragraph in hindi language in app by setting up hindi language girl voice, the voice sounds very heavy like a monster. I tried to fix this many times and many ways but same problem. How can i fix this heavy monster like girl voice. I would love to give 5 stars because your app helped me many times. But now I can't write long paragraph and generate single audio file. I have to make it in parts.
PLEASE PUT BACK NOTIFICATION AREA PAUSE BUTTON!!! I've been listening to books on this app for 5 years and now I cant pause them any more without restarting from where I pressed play in the app. I promise to buy premium if you put it back lol! Thanks for your hard work! :(
I can't seem to find a page that tells you what the upgrade includes. Also, I had a very long document that it truncated. Can you actually use it to read books? The only reason I gave it at 4 is because I'm finding it hard to find help for these issues.
Not only is the pause button gone. But pause doesn't work from external controls and opening the app resets what you're listening too to the start. Utter garbage design.
It was great , but when I was about to save the Audio it's not saved, so I need to send the Audio to my friend then my friend can send it back to me. I hope you can fix it
There are a few flaws. The limits. I wish it were possible to do longer voice files, even stories with multiple people, or voices. With voices, text and pictures, or videos.
Select voice to read any pdf plain text, HTML as well as picture documents. Simple download now what are you waiting for.
Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a tts reader so I can remember stuff for my school and I was very surprised that it could also read my language as well
terrible app. offers a trial version. Went to test it out and it doesn't even work! Im not going to spend $8 to see if the premium works when the trial didn't!
Good, latest update breaks core feature. Please restore the notification area pause button, "launching" restarts playback at cursor, terrible on longer documents.
Won't open ebooks on my tablet or phone (premium version) I have emailed the developer twice, explaining the problem, with no response. Seems that once he's had my money, he's not interested. Beware.. Don't expect any developer support. Very dissapointed .
Doesn't work very well if you send it a web site. It says "Retrieving Website's Text" with a little circle that keeps spinning and spinning forever. If you manage to get it to read a site, it might stop in the middle or start over unexpectedly. Sometimes it starts reading a previous page, even when you replace it with a new one. If you open a text file or copy and past text into it, then it seems to be okay.
