it may work with tunelink hardware

Chr. S. Sep 17, 2018

Why? If you need a device with it you just buy a device and no nèee for the app.

After unfortunately misplacing my first transmitter I looked into a new one. I spoke with Jeff on the customer service team who informed me that if you purchase the iPhone transmitter it allows you to use both Android and iphone software. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. A must have for extensive trips.

Bought the tunelink device but the bluetooth connection didn't work. The few times I finally did get my samsung galexy to connect once I started pandora it would drop the connection. It's too bad as this was exactly what I wanted, except it would be berter if it worked. App is confusing and clunky too.

This app is meant to accompany a Tunelink FM transmitter which I purchased. It lasted me two months then it stopped pairing with my Nexus 5. I tried using it with my Nexus 7, and while it paired, the transmitter would overheat causing the Bluetooth to disconnect after 10 minutes. I have since purchased a much better alternative.

App is OK, but hardware is rubbish. Worked great for a while, but now refuses to connect to any phone with bluetooth. This is a very common issue if you search the Web. Can't believe the quality is so poor for such a premium priced product

Still a loyal user of this app and bluetooth adapter since May 2011. Now using it on a Note 10 plus. A great product but no current updates, improvements or support... the adapter supports not just Bluetooth but FM transmission as well, able to play through audio through your FM radio.

Don't know why it used to keep connected and that external interference was minimal, but now it doesn't start well, I keep getting interferences all the way. I do not recommend it anymore. You will find something cheaper that works elsewhere. I almost forgot, the hardware doesn't charge my phone properly. If I'm using the phone while charging it keeps the same battery percentage.

The idea and execution is simple and prefect. Exactly what I needed. The only thing it could use is some way to automatically search the band for the best frequency and maybe even a pre-amplifier. Other than that, it's perfect. Plus, I got the device for like $40 using my employee discount!

I've had 2 transmitters. First packed up with a known ring flashing issue. The second one now overheats. Works for 5 minutes then stops. Blowing into it makes it work for a further few minutes before stopping again. Reading up about it, its a widely reported issue. I've since bought a new Nexus 5 with Kit Kat on and it won't even connect. After an email asking if Tune link works with Kit Kat and a Nexus 5 I got a reply saying it hadn't been tested yet. Not helpful at all.

Since updating to Jellybean connection is disastrous.... Software looses connected FM frequency on leaving the bt zone, then fails to reconnect for numerous attempts. (2 different units on 2 different S2 phones in different cities, same problem.) I think an update is way overdue. As is at the moment, I would advise NOBODY to buy it until the software is fixed.

I bought this product about two years. It had it's kinks along the way which I didn't mind as I knew it was new. It actually worked pretty well while it worked. However, my Tunelink broke three weeks ago and just stopped working out of nowhere. I emailed Tunelink and they said it was out of warranty and I'd have to buy a new one. It was only two years old! Talk about bad customer service. If a product is only going to last that long sitting in a 12V socket it's not worth the $100. I used to tell my friends about how great this product was but that has since ceased.

I brought the Tunelink adapter and it works great. I'm using a HTC Desire to run the app and space consumption is always an issue for a device with 1,5GB internal memory. The Tunelink App uses too much space (~9 MB) on my phone, which is the most annoying point. I don't want to buy a new phone because of a FM transmitter. Pro: Works good, Functionality Con: Space usage (9MB) !!!

So looking for an FM transmitter and installed this one and open app said I need the hardware, okay search for hardware AND turns out its only available for the apple app store, so why make this app available for us yet we can't use or DL the other half we need in order to get the services we were hoping to get from you, It's just a bummer. Samsung Galaxy S4

Guys any app with an fm converter helps with another device you buy at stores. You need a total different device that will transmit your music from the device to the radio. Your phone does not do this this app only helps the transmitter to play music your phone does not have the ability to do this bc is it doesn't have a transmitter

A. G. u. Jun 2, 2014

Doesn't work just says tune link not connected they need to actually make a radio transmitter app that works. SAMSUNG GALAXY S3

6 months and the dongle no longer works. LED indicator flashes blue when plugged in and can't connect via Bluetooth. Very disappointed.

Connected first time I bought it, after that it hasn't connected since. Waste of money

Mar. W. Oct 30, 2014

What a waste of time and money! Worked OK for a few month regularly having to manually connect it to the device. Now can't connect through bluetooth reinstalled app and doesn't even recognize device now. Worst forty quid ever.

Hi folk, The TuneLink Auto Android looks lie lottery each time you get one. I have had one TuneLink Android and it worked perfectly. Each time I left my car and come back it paired and connected automaticaly and played music from the point where it stopped when I left car. Just Great. Then I broke my TuneLink when I drive because the lighter contact made it to be in the way when I change geer and use parking brake. So I ordered new since it was so great. But nope! Not this time. The new TuneLink I have bought worked only when I manualy paired and connected it to the car power, so I asked my retailer to replace it whin another one. No problem said my retailer and I got new one TuheLink but this time it was ever worse the new one will not work at all! Believe me I laughed when I saw it. It just do not connect neither to mobile app or the car stereo. So now I try to make my retailer to refund my TuneLink. END OF STORY

I don't understand what's the sense of having a wireless signal go to your FM stereo if you have to hook up other hardware to it.my stereo from 2005 which is kind of why I need an FM transmitter. would be convenient if I just could play my mp3's on my phone through an FM channel. but you need hardware wherever that exists, and even if you did have that hardware would it even work probably not. these apps nowadays are almost just as bad as ads that you see on sites they're pointless

Kan. K. Mar 26, 2016

Dont download the app because it has nothing good to offer, rather it will take more space on your device 😔

Don. K. Apr 2, 2013

Sounds great for the few minutes it connects. It just loses the connection and is way too finicky to connect. I have the home link and love it. Frustrating and disappointing.
