This is a GREAT visual tuner, but the drones only seem to work when I have my finger on the screen. On flute, I can't play all the notes if my fingers aren't on the instrument so I can't compare my intonation to the drone. It would be wonderful if the drone notes would keep playing so I can get visual and auditory feedback as I practice my intonation.
It does a nice job of helping to visualize vibrato. For my needs, the lack of tuning system variations is a deal breaker, but that's not important for most people (I tune to 1/5 comma meantone, or a later circulating temperament).
None of my clip on or standalone tuner devices would work to tune a kalimba, but they weren't designed to do that. So I tried Tuner T1. Five minutes later, kalimba is tuned. Then I tried using it to fine tune my 5 string electric bass (unamped). Best tuned sound ever! No issues on a Google Android 4a 5G. I have a lot if instruments, I need a flexible tuner, this is it!
The low end pitch is way quiet compared to the high end, and the massive refresh rate on the tuner display is distracting. Please add a setting to customize refresh rate, and an equalizer so I can tone down the high end. Thank you.
It's done what I need but I make instruments and I would like to be able to use it to tune them outside of 440 more easily. All tuner apps should be able to adjust the whole tuning up and down I.E.Bpm more easily.
It worked fine on my LG phone but when i switched to samsung it doesnt pick up anything on my microphone. I checked permissions and even reinstalled it but it doesnt work at all anymore.
App completely stopped working on my phone after this update (worked perfectly fine before the update). Please provide a fix or issue a refund. 6/25 - Thanks for updating quickly. App working once again.
Clean design. Precise and informative. Ads are not intrusive. I can see my ear and finger tuning improve while practicing violin.
This app is so simple and easy to use. The ads are not intrusive and it costs very little to go ad free.
Great Tuner App! One recommendation would be that there would be the ability to sustain a pitch or multiple.
A wonderful app. I am in Chinese Orchestra and play the Guzheng. Almost everyone in the orchestra uses this app. Simple and in tune. Perfect.
I want my money back tbh, the tuner doesn't even work for me at all and it freezes my phone. I paid to get ads removed to see if it would help and I played a Bb and it came out as a G?!?!
I have a viola and for the people that say it doesn't work try lowering the octave and and buy another tuner to check and see if the tune is good because that helps out when I do it.
I hate the fact that you have to set the frequency for it. When I first installed it was fine. Then after a month it started to become less accurate and then now it just doesnt like to work anymore.
Not always accurate but does what i need beautifully. I really like the green "in tune" screen. The wave form also tells me how far off i am.
This is not a good app because I played an A string on My Viola B string when I played a B it played a C sharp and then when I was trying to do other notes it was the opposite
As a novice violinist this is awesome!!! The solid green is easy to see out of the corner of your eye so you don't have to take your eyes off the music.
It's perfect for me! I've been using it for some time now. I much prefer this type of visual layout over the more "traditional" ones
An app I have been looking for since a very long time. AM HAPPY to have finally found it. Just started playing with my violin and it will help me a lot.
Helped me not die in strings class, we were tuning up for public preformance. Gotta say it was pretty good! I miss elementray school a little.
Very solid. Easy to read. A welcome addition to my practice sessions and rehearsals.
Way too sensitive. An option to adjust sensitivity would be great.
Omg i love this app my band teacher told my band class to download this and I'm glad! This helps tune my trumpet to perfection! Thanks!!!
I love the display for this app. It makes it way too tune, which is what you want :)
The tuner freaks out even though there is nothing to hear. Basically unusable.
I would recommend this for people who need a tuner for free. Not any ads so far.
Doesn't detect low B string on 7 string, but works well otherwise.
Great, works on my old tablet! And good for checking intonation as well.
Can't get it to work. No instructions. Don't like ads and no way to close them
A cool, creative approach! Rather than using a sliding indicator or needle, this app shows the current tone as an updating sound "history" moving around a straight "precise pitch" line. No note played on an acoustic instrument is steady—the very act of playing it changes its pitch—so in this way, this app's more "honest" than those that average notes out to more general tunings. I just wish the lines were larger and easier to see—there's certainly enough horizontal space to do that.
