Tunity : Hear any muted TV

Giving 3 stars again since it seems to be somewhat working again. If it contunes to keep working again, with or without a subscription, I will give 5 stars again. I've always loved this aervice, and hope it keeps on going for a long time. Edit: The service is great again like it used to be! Glad that it"s back again. The only problem is that I sometimes have sync problems bad enough that even the fine tune doesn't correct it. I'd rate 4 stars but rated 5 stars to help offset the 1 star ratings

This app is horrible! It took me an hour and a half to find my channel. It kept picking up channels I was not watching. Once it finally did pick up the channel I was watching, (two shows later), it lagged so far behind I decided that it is not worth it. So, I am uninstalling it.

Edit: it looks like things are working again! 4 stars because it does look like channel support is limited. Looks like the servers have been completely nuked. All I get is an ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

Oh I hope everyone is okay from the covid nonsense, you didn't have to tell us that but hey I'm glad you're back and yes I can confirm resetting the password does fix the issue I'll be able to log in, actually it might have fixed it even before then but who knows. Yeah it's if you don't do that it's still going to say there's server issues they're really aren't but and you can use your same old password you just have to do a reset of and then not a big deal.

Terrible. I've had it for years but it no longer works. Even the premium won't work. Several month ago it just hung up on scanning or please try again. Now after uninstalling and reinstalling it won't even open. It all went down hill when they started charging. I don't mind paying for something when I get something but I'm done paying for nothing.

Used to work flawlessly. Now doesn't work at all. Have tried everything. Uninstall/Teinstall no help. Uninstalled for good, sorry to say. I really enjoyed using it with my bluetooth speaker. EDIT: Just installed the new version. Will try it out and report back to this review. No change in rating as of now. 3/23: Tried new version 3x. Scanned but couldn't even find Fox News. Still junk. Will uninstall again. Too bad, I have lots of uses for this app, but only if it works!

The app works as it's supposed to, but the audio sync is about 30 seconds off. Work around is to rapidly tap back to make the audio stutter until what you just heard matches what's on the screen. Maybe it's my device, but I can get it to work. Awesome app, be nice if it can account for when the photo was time-stamped and then compensate the audio stream to be moved forward to that time, since the video is moving at a constant rate. This app went down the tubes. It was good, now it's unusable. They play a full screen video you are forced to watch every 10 minutes. If you do watch it, you then have to rescan and start all over. It resets itself every time with the ads even though it's supposed to go back to where you were. And why the full page 30 second video? Why not just scrolling little ads. I get it, you needs ads, but not to make the app unusable. Constantly out of sync, it's never correct and when you do adjust it, a few minutes later it will go out of sync again. No way this is worth payment.

When it works, it's great! Sometimes updates don't scan the channels at all which is frustrating because you knew it worked in a previous update. The new update allowing you to not having to re-scan every time you launch it is so nice. Having GPS enabled the entire time drains the battery so it would be nice to be able to enable it only when scanning and be able to turn it off and still allow it to keep playing.

Great idea. Not so great in practice. I can struggle for 15 minutes trying to sync the audio with the picture. The original scan should not only ID the channel, but analyze the difference in sync and auto correct. It also needs a bigger sliding scale than 3 seconds either way. Watching CNN as I'm writing this and it is more than 5 seconds off. And there is no help or support in the app itself, that I can find.

It used to be great, but with ads, it just doesn't work. It randomly stops the audio to make you watch a 30 second ad. I understand people need to make money, but ads make this app completely useless. There are already commercials on regular TV, now you have to have the audio cut out at what could be your favorite part of a show or movie, for yet another ad. That, and the audio doesn't always sync correctly, so this app is ruined.

The interruptions are one thing but the volume of some of them is SO loud. There should be a way to avoid such a high decibel level. I shouldn't have to adjust the volume down when I'm working out on the treadmill and then 30 seconds later, raise it to a normal range. Also, often I have to remove Tunity app because when I go to close it, there's only a log in option. Then I have to add it to my apps again. It drains my charge. WHY?

Users are now forced to watch ads every 10ish minutes, which seems incredibly excessive. By paying a monthly fee, you can get it with no ads, but the quality of the sound is such garbage that I would never consider paying for it. I use this app to get sound for football games. During tonight's game, the app completely disconnected over 20 times. When it connected, it couldn't get anywhere near synced. It was 15 seconds ahead or behind. Half of it was unintelligible because it skipped so much.

I've only tried at home so far, but it is absolutely frickin AWESOME!!! Plays in the background and/or with the screen off. You don't even have to watch or be around the TV once you've scanned and connected. I scanned the downstairs TV, connected, and I'm upstairs and still listening to the show/channel I scanned. Truly an amazing app!!!

Used to like it. It's a great idea. Sad that you get to watch ads on TV and then this app ads more ads every 10 seconds. I considered premium until I realized it's a monthly thing. There are bluetooth options at Walmart that do this exactly what this app does for $14.99. Buy it once and use it until it breaks or you lose it. Ditch the ads. 2.99 a month? I don't think I'll use it that much. Thanks but I'll move on.

Excellent App!! I love that you can fine tune the audio timing. It was super easy to setup and use and I immediately thought about the MANY different circumstances I would need this. My only complaint is that Investigation Discovery is not a supported channel....no biggie but when I tapped on "Request Support" it said that the server couldn't be reached. The server issue is why it didn't get 5 stars. Fixing that will make this a 5 star app. Great Job, this is very impressive. Thank you.

Great concept, average implementation. The biggest drawback is their constant spamming me to leave a review everything I close the app, even though I left a review months ago. Sometimes the commercials you hear are totally different than the commercials you see, but I'm cool with that. I attribute it to regional broadcast differences, so no big deal.

No longer works without paying a price. I used to use this app all the time when going into bars that had multiple t.v.'s on and the channel I wanted to watch was muted. It was great! I even recommended it to other people! But now I had problems getting logged on, then it wanted to charge me for different features. So I will be looking elsewhere for my sound apps.

Great concept! Sometimes takes a few scans to get the right channel but it usually catches on and is good from there EXCEPT!!! It is understood that you need to run ads to help offset costs and I am perfectly fine with that. But when the idea of this app is so that you can follow along with a show...why ads like every few minutes? I miss key content in the show I am watching to instead watch ads. Makes the app pointless. Why not sync your ads to the commercials from show you're watching?

I been with tunity now for the past 2 years and I'm glad that you guys are finally listening to You're users. I'm glad that you added the volume extra because it was too low at times. Here's another suggestion, The synchronization of advancing or rewinding needs to be adjusted better. The sync line should be seen and not off screen in order for the user to determine if they are on the correct synchronization, and once sync, it should line back up on 0. Just a thought, thank you a great app.

ever since I updated to version 1.14.1 this app has sucked hard. Prior to that it worked without fail. Now it fails to work out be in sync virtually every time. Hope the update fixes the issue. Ridiculous. 6/10/19:. Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have tried the manual sync arrows but they were nowhere close almost everytime I've used them, including when I was watching the NBA finals this Friday.

This app used to be good way back when. Now, it barely functions. I tried to scan the same TV at this bar *FIVE TIMES.* Each time, a different channel result, and each time, it was nowhere close to the right channel. On top of that, the "Channels" list doesn't actually work - you're lucky if you get the ones that scanned wrong to show in the list, but if you try to search for anything else, all you get is a red "Request Support" button. Incredibly disappointed.
