The app is essentially useless and does not work as advertised. I have an IP2000 with firmware version 1.0.0. I have a Samsung Note 9. I cannot get TurboControl app to connect to the speaker. It just spins and spins...scanning. I've tried to factory reset the speaker. I've tired uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I've tried different phones, e.g. Moto X Gen 4 and a Droid Turbo 2. I can't get any Android phone I own to connect to the IP2000 speaker.
Doesn't connect to ip1000. Stays on "Scanning" even though my phone audio is connected with no issues. The review below may be helpful for other models but my base ip1000 doesn't have a way to update the firmware at all. All the directions end up doing is factory resetting the unit. Im better off just trashing this and never buying from turbosound again
The app does not connect with the speakers using this platform. it is as everyone else whos used it says. I wouldn't bother with the app, and I wont buy any other turbosound products in the future since they organization doesn't seem to care about this issue or respond to its customers.
Works well. The only wrinkle is you need to upgrade your speaker to firmware v2.2 which can only be done with an IOS device. Once v2.2 is installed Android works.
I was hoping I'd have a better, different outcome being a brand new Samsung galaxy S10+ Android 9 version... but nope, sad to report I'm selling my IP500 now, no use to me without control....gigs are too important! Note: I couldn't get it working with an ipad mini either... oh well, I'll spend my money on a better system. Thanks Turbosound.
app will not work or connect to speaker. using Bluetooth works fine but the app keeps spinning and doesn't connect to the speaker. very disappointing
Tried this app to connect to my IX12 speakers on Samsung Galaxy S10 - sadly it doesn't go beyond the connection stage. The same app works great on my brother's iPhone. Please fix it soon!
An awesome app for my TurboSound INSPIRE iP2000, but can't open on Samsung smartphone. Any idea what the problem might be?
Useless. Tried this app on ip500, two ip12b and two ip300. Used multiple android devices and none connect via the app. Bluetooth streaming works fine but otherwise this just takes space on your device.
The other reviews are absolutely correct. The apo doesn't work whatsoever on Samsung device (Galaxy S8). Stuck on "connecting" forever.
App just scans forever. Update firmware on IP3000s. Bluetooth connected and confirmed. Removed and reinstalled app. Disappointing. Android on Motorola Moto Z2
does no connect with android devices. fix this and I'll change my rating. I have a ip2000 using a galaxy note 9.
Doesn't work. Scans forever. Uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. Not worth it.
so I have turbosound ix12 and galaxy s9... downloaded this app ... did everything it asked .... and the start page just spins waiting to connect... but doesn't
come on Turbosound... please fix the Android app so the majority of the cell phone market can connect!!
Just keeps "scanning" endlessly soaking up my life... Not cool - please fix or I'll spend the extra money on the Bose! Weak Sauce people! Figure this out please!
Doesn't connect ever. Even when sitting paired and connected on top of the speaker
This is a horrible api have the ip300 and can't connect. Just searches forever,
Cunky, feels like an app from the 1990s. But hey...it's laggy but it works.
This doesn't work on my Samsung S9...I have a iX15. Why does it not work????
Doesn't work with the newest firmware as well
Samsung Galaxy S8 stuck on scaning "/ really want this app !!!!
Awful. Don't work at all with Android. Useless app
Cant connect android user need to improve
Bluetooth connected this app will not connect.
App won't open. Useless.
does not connect on android ..what a waste of time and dashed hope
should be update firmware Turbosound v2.2.0 then app control working
For those having app sync issues with the IP series speakers, watch this video - www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=sNBUcMgg950 The app isn't required to update the firmware, just Bluetooth. Connect to the speaker and just push the update file directly to it while it's in update mode (this fixed the sync issue for me). I did find that at each step I had to 'forget' the device from my recent Bluetooth devices. After that the app worked completely as it should.
