Turkish Airlines app and online experience just may be the worst I have ever dealt with for an airline. Nothing ever seems to work properly. Especially when trying to manage a booking. Completely useless most of the time. With the new update, mint app just crashes constantly.
Really bad. Yesterday going through booking process and everytime you navigate away to another app, the app resets. Today I try to add my first flight to a multi city itinerary and it says you can only add 6 flights. I am only adding my first flight! Now says technical error. Given up. Turkish, your airline might be good but your app is atrocious.
The application is great. However there are some glitches such as when the time delay occurs and it goes back to search then the passenger numbers are reset. I had to try 3 times to make the payment, each time refilling all the details and finally, when i exited the app payment at authentification to check the sms and went back the whole process was reset.
Turkish airline app is the worst app I ever dealt with nothing is working, hard to use and very confusing most of the times not working, completely useless bad communication with the people over the phone don't know the answers hard to understand. Shame on you we love the airlines but not the service. If you fix it and I will change the rate.👎😠
Worst experience with this app so far..WONT RECOMMEND USING THIS APP TO PURCHASE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE. I had flight with the airline last January, purchased excess baggage allowance using tha app coz its supposed to be "easy and convenient". i entered my payment details but did not receive any confirmation, did it 2x and still nothing. Did it with their website and this time i got a confirmation. Next thing i know im getting charged for the 2 previous transactions.
Really buggy. If I have a two part flight departing on the 9th and arriving on the 10th, the first flight should have the 9th written next to it in my saved flights. It's only when I click into it I can see that it is indeed departing on the 9th. In the drop down menu, next to "my flights" it says 3. I have a two part flight. So I'd expect it to say either 1 ( if it considers it to be a single flight) or 2 if it considers both parts of the flight to be individual flights.But certainly not 3!
This app is not helpful for emergency situations and flight change. It cannot even find my booking. No special section for covid support. If you get a positive PCR test just before your departure, do not search for help in this app. It is as useless and inconvenient as their call center.
Update four years later: Problem below is mostly fixed. Three notification settings in the app now, but they don't carry over to the Android system setting; you've got to do it in the app. (Push advertising, and disrespectful lack of notification options. This app pushed an advertising notification on my phone. The only option is to turn off all notifications, including flights. I am uninstalling this app and will only put it back when there are separate notification settings for ads and flight notifications.)
I've been using the app extensively and it's already very convenient. However a major bug is that you cannot view your new or relevant boarding passes if there is another one within a few days in the past. The app should allow navigating between boarding passes or at least show the future one instead of the completed flights.
Great application, there is room for further development which I am sure can be in coming updates, to mention one , the date selection is a bit tricky , otherwise its a straight forward process. You can save the passenger information for a later booking. I will add that the miles and smiles number should come up when you do the reservation and there should be an option at the beginning if you are doing a reservation for someone else to make it more clear
It used to be a nice app working quite good but recently with the last update nothing is working. I keep on getting approve the GDPR notice window popping up all the time. If I try to approve it, it is never updated so each time I want to do something I am asked again to approve it. Also if I want to see business upgrade option I can never see it, a blank page is shown. I used to do many things with this app but currently it doesn't work properly, it doesn't update anything and it is slow.
The app is good for doing the basic stuff suchas booking flight and checkin, the company changes the flight schedule frequently and there is no way to confirm or suggest a new schedule from App, always tell you to contact customer service
unprofessional app not user-friendly ,i am very disappointed can't even sign-in, i tried multiple ways but ,,,, very stupid service , for so big company and this kind of service ware not expected
The app needs to have a better password security instead of just numbers .. sadly you can forget your TK number but the app wount let you login with your email where as the TK number should be associated with the email address ... The app needs some work and improvements the IT or team behind this app are trying to so called make it simple... Lets us have characters in our password and association log in with email as well . App can do better..
I cannot signup into this app, it doesn't allow me to type any password. It allows only numeric digits and then it says that you can't enter 3 consecutive digits. Pathetic!
So stupid!!! you oblige people to update their application but after updating the application still gets you out and forwarding you to update again again. To sum up, for the time being, application doesn't work...
Avoid travelling by this airline. They are unprofessional and do not care for their passengers. I had to board my flight along with my wife and 2 year old son from Istanbul to Vienna. The airline decided to take off 30 mins prior actual departure time hence there were many other passengers including us who missed the flight. On top of this the staff behaved extremely rude with everyone and asked us to repurchase the tickets for next flight on the same day. Never ever recommend this flight.
I encountered many bugs while trying to view my booking, pay for seat selection and issuing my boarding card. I was a regular traveller with Qatar and never had such issues with their app - major work required!
Full inspection twice on the same day, on the same flight. Literally on each leg of the flight. Never ever ever again! Worst air line in my life. No apologize, nothing. You treat your passengers like criminals and never apologize when you wrong. Еще и опаздывают постоянно.
Excellent in every way but for complaint or raising a case section. Difficult and complicated and problems are either delayed forever or not solved.
It's good for booking flights ✈️ 😌 🙌. Very fast and easy to use 😀 👍 👌. It gives you the correct prices for the tickets.
I for my life was not able to change the apps language from Turkish to English to be able to use it. Not even sure now if they have the feature.
This app is useless. You can't even find about the update or talk to someone through live chat regarding on my flight refund. Customers would expect a good and reliable service because Turkish Airline is a big company but sadly no👎
The worst airline app I have ever come across. Six hours trying to check in with no joy. They need to go back to the drawing board and get someone who knows what they're doing when designing the app.
App has an error when trying to book a multi city flight: after choosing flight, automatically gives an error and goes back to the homepage
Very helpful app. Easy to use, customer friendly. Didn't face any problem with this app. Excellent job Turkish Airlines
App is not user friendly. It does not reflect changes made by Turkish Airlines reservations agents. For example, if a ticket is changed to an open ticket, the booking reference disappears from the app! It is then impossible for a user to find the original booking to select a suitable later flight via the app. Not only that, the same is true for the website, hence both app & website need rectifying.
