Turn Off Screen

EDIT: There's a bug. Sometimes after shutting off screen the lock will be disabled. I'm uninstalling. I leave the original review below for if this bug is ever fixed. --- Does one thing only and absolutely nothing else - and for that reason only takes up 0.068 MB. It turn off the screen; that's it. My phone doesn't have fingerprint scanner, so I can't say if that works or not. But for those people who complain that it's hard to uninstall I must disaggree; it's just a little complicated because of the way it has to lock into Android to work. For those that think the icon is too hard to see though; I aggree. But since I have linked the app up to one of my hardware buttons, I don't need the icon to be pretty :-) Thanks!

I have to write a review! I never do. Wow finally. After extensive trial and error with downloading screen off apps I found this one. Perfect. Simple. No adds, no crazy permissions or changing settings. Exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!

Very practical! No complicated install, no crazy permissions asked. This is just what I needed! Except, originally I was looking for just a screen off feature without locking, since my physical phone power button is set that way because I don't need to keep phone locked all the time, but this is the best option I found, so if I have to input password again on every screen on... oh, well! This app helps to extend lifespan of physical power button since it won't get pressed as often.

Interesting app, but it causes this complication -- when later turn on phone by fingerprint it always asks for secondary authentication (ie, PIN, pattern, password) of whatever I have setup. In contrast, when I don't use this app and simply use the power button to turn off the screen, then turn the phone back on by fingerprint, there is no required secondary authentication.

The issue on my Huawei P30 is that if you use this app to turn off the screen, the next time you turn it on, the facial recognition feature will not work. You have to awaken the phone via the password method. It'd be wonderful if this issue could be overcome. Otherwise I'd rate it higher. The search goes on...

For those who want intetgration with fingerprint sensor please buy the pro version and support the development of this wonderful app. I use this app because my hardware screen off button is broken. This app is not that bad.. its just it has some unknown bug..after tapped turn off screen, it does what it says on the description but it turns the screen back on just a few seconds.. For those not know to uninstall it, do the following: Settings>Security>Device Administration then tap this app then tap deactivate.

Works as said wonderfully and without ads too. The only drawback is the app icon size. Would be great if its reduced a bit. Would also like to know why my fingerprint unlock is not working on it. Thank you for a simple to use app.

Does what it claims: turns off the screen. No root needed. Good app to install if the proximity sensor on your device is broken and no longer turning off the screen when you close the cover.

This one is what I needed. It is working on Redmi 7a. And color of the button is nicely white not transparent invisible as in the description - which whoud not be convenient. Excellent that app size is very small. Thanks!

Nice and small app if you want to lock the phone and require a PIN at power. I found another tiny app Off Without Lock that is like this one but keeps the fingerprint scanner working to wake phone next time.

This app works great! Saves my physical power/lock button. Unfortunately it disables my fingerprint sensor when it locks. Otherwise it does the trick.

Very good, very easy to use like veeeerryy easy, recently my phone buttons broke so i used a fingerprints to open my phonr but i can't close it so this is perfect. But everytime i turned it off it asked for password instead of just opening the home screen, but hey iys better than nothing

How the heck do you uninstall this app?????????? I have gone to my apps I've gone to deactivate uninstall all kinds of stuff can not access it I can't seem to uninstall it which worries me........ Is actually a good app for what it does I just don't need it anymore and wanted to uninstall it but it definitely doesn't make it easy and I can't figure out how to so keep that in mind before you download this app...........

Useless on Huawei P30 Pro, even though it's part of the factory bloatware. On start it demands administrator rights. If I grant the access, it turns the screen off so well that the fingerprint isn't enough to wake it, I have to type the pin code too.

Does exactly what it says on tin. people that complain about uninstall should note any app like this needs to have administrive rights and finger print sensor not working is normal. normally due to a work around to save battery

brilliant app, best I've used, saves your on/off button wear too. keep uninstalling it but always reinstall it hours later as I miss it that much.

I like it! My screen turns off instantly without touching the power button, and its easy to un install too! A must have app!... 😉

This is the best. Tried several, but others throw disruptions at you. Others lock you in and difficult to uninstall. NO bs with this simple/fine ap.

app, says turn of screen, fantastic, but false advertisement as it locks screen when you use fingerprint....Would have been 5 stars if did not effect opening my phone from fingerprint....☝️

for anyone that can't uninstall this app, disable its admin permission from your phone settings. after that you can uninstall it like normal.

This app make my smartphone ask for password every time a turn on the screen. It don't let me use the fingerprint.

Best app to imitate the power button, the tablet goes to sleep with a single tap using android 5, and it only takes 18kb of space!!

once you install this app then you cant uninstall. just do it. go to settings > security > divice administer. and deactivate TURN OFF SCREEN app. and uninstall this app

I think icon should be brighter in colour bcouse it hide in dark wallpaper. App is verry good and free. Thank you.

It works, but has a bug. Does not allow face recognition to work. For me this is a biggie.
