TV Listings - Guide

It's a fairly simple app for finding out show scheduling, getting alerts for programs, limited info about some of these programs. Keeping up with programs you like,sometimes it has to get reset and it's pretty easy to manage. Few glitches now and then, but overall it's simple. Works for me for a free app for a TV guide.

This is a fairly decent app for getting program information in the USA. I mostly use it for broadcast information but have used it for premium programing when I travel. I have found adding broadcast channels is a bit awkward. Most tv apps have some ads, this one does as well but they are not ridiculously numerous or too obnoxious. Sometimes channels change & the provider fails to update that information.

(10/1/20) Easy to use and set up, listings are correct unless the tv station changes their offering in the last minute which is no fault of the app. I would recomend it. 4/18/22 just thought I'd update to let you know I'm still using it. My rating has not changed.

So much better than TV Guide! They've "updated" TVG and it no longer works on Android! Thanks for providing a simple, clear and easy-to-use app. It installed quickly and setup took only a minute. I won't be going back to TVG... they lost me as a customer. Only one thing that could be improved - I see no way to change the OTA broadcast area, so when I'm traveling I can't see what's on locally. Otherwise, good app.

I just loaded this app and set it up. It has a clean and responsive interface and looks like it will work well. There's just one problem that seems to affect almost all TV listings apps. I live smack in the middle between two broadcast areas, and my antenna can receive channels from both, but the listings apps, including this one, make me choose only one area to list. Please add the ability to show two areas, or at least switch between them.

1/27/I used TV Guide App for years because I thought it best served my needs but then they stopped doing that & became completely useless. I tried 3 other before I tried this one & as I've been using it for week & wish I had tried it long before now. It has all the features I need & want. I'm particularly impressed that the alert feature has not failed once since I figured out how to set it up. In short, THANK YOU for a simple user friendly tv guide that doesn't take a technology degree to use.

Pretty close to the old TV Guide app before they messed it up. Update: i take back my original comments. Found a link that shows your current channels and lets you add others. If you swipe the times to the right, it will give you the option to look at tomorrow or future dates, but only one channel at a time. But if you tap on the show it gives you all the shows for that day on that channel.

Very disappointing. I set the app to remind me when my shows are on. This would especially be handy after the season ends or returns from a break. The app did not consistently remind me, even after I triple checked the settings. It just randomly notified me of one of my shows and come to find out, I've missed several episodes.

***5/24/21 I wish it had the ability to look ahead a week or 2 like tv guide did. It's ok, I'm getting used to it. I switched after having issues with the TV guide app. This one seems to offer everything it did and everything I need and takes up less space on my phone. One thing I wish you'd allow is to see what channels showed earlier in the day. Some channels have an east and west showing so it'd be nice to look back and see what will be playing again later.

Pros: Easy to set up. Interface is pretty. I like the Prime Time menu. This app would be appropriate for someone wanting a very basic guide. Cons: It would be useful to be able to filter to display only new or live episodes and/or show from "My Series." I couldn't get "My Schedule" to display anything from "My Series." Display should have single line rows to display more channels on screen. No better than official TV Guide app.

I'm a user of both this application and the guide provided by Spectrum. Biggest difference between the two is the Spectrum guide repeats the listings for AMC, USA and others. It removes the need to scroll all the way to the beginning to refresh your memory as to what's on them. For a positive item, I like the reminder function for upcoming shows.

Switched from TV Guide's horrible update about 1/23/21. TV USA does what it is supposed to do, let me know what is on, and what the episode is about. It is as simple as that. I also like the landscape ability of the app. Keep up the good work as there should be a lot of former TV Guide users coming over to use an app that is useful.

Use to use the TV Guide app but then they "updated" and it became useless. Started looking for another TV app. Found another one. It was ok and served it's purpose. Then I found this app! Easy to use to navigate and make needed changes when we travel out of town for the hotel channels. Glad I found this app. Please don't "upgrade" or change a thing!

I have to give thanks to the folks over at TV Guide for screwing up their app so thoroughly as to force me to find an alternative. Luckily for me I found your app, which is just the ticket. And, unlike many of the apps in the Play Store, it works on my Kindle Fire HD 10. The only reason I gave you 4⭐'s instead of 5⭐'s is because of the lack of cast listings in your movie descriptions. Other than that, your app is just about perfect.

Like the app. Would give 5 stars, but I rate 4 because I dislike that there's no option to pay to get rid of ads. It's not that the ads in the app are intrusive. But I would be willing to pay $0.99 or maybe a wee bit more just to have no ads at all. Also, specifically to the developer, it seems like a missed opportunity for generating extra revenue.

FINALLY! After the TV Guide app jumped the shark with it's erroneous 2021 "update," I installed/un-installed TV listing app, after app, after app looking for a similar format, prior to the update, with no luck. They either didn't have all of my local channels, listings were incorrect, show synopses were incorrect or in a different language. And then I found TV Listings USA & read the reviews on how users liked it. Please do not jump the shark! 🙏

App is only OK. It works fast with no issues, but doesnt give any info on movies like date movie was made, who stars in it, movie poster image, ratings etc. All you get when you bring up the selection is a dark image screen with limited info. This is what Im mostly concerned with personally. Other tv apps have this info, but fall short in other areas. Ill keep it until I find something better.

Upon using not as good as I first thought. Able to customize what channels you actually have instead of just specific provider line ups but most of the channels don't show the correct programs at the correct times and setting up the custom channel listings is a bit of a pain and not the most user friendly. I was trying to replace the TV Guide app that I ditched because they shut down most of it's functions and with 4.6 stars I thought this was it. I'll keep looking.

Recently left the ruined TV Guide app after using it for several years!! So glad that I found this!! Absolutely love this app. Love the custom channel line-up ability. Really easy to view listings by hour, day or channel. Like the ability to see programming up to 6 days in advance. Setting reminders is also very easy.

Just about perfect. Good and easy enough that even my 82-year-old mom was ready to give up the expensive print newspaper subscription for TV listings. I recall getting the right over-the-air lineup didn't work perfectly based on ZIP Code, but it was fairly obvious how to manually choose the right lineup. Sometimes I have a some trouble accurately tapping the little arrow that takes you to listing details. Ads are relatively unobtrusive.

The app is simple enough to use, but its accuracy is questionable . The listings don't reflect the actual channels . January 1st the lineup changed for Antenna TV, but app is still showing the old channels. I find myself having to go online and Google the lineup of shows every evening. I previously reviewed app, but somehow it disappeared hmmm. I'll give it till end of January, but if by then they haven't caught up w/ accuracy then I'll uninstall it. If they fix things, I'll edit my review

I use this app for OTA listings in my area and it returns results that are accurate and complete. The custom feature allows me to filter out stations that I don't desire or can't receive condensing the lineup. One minor gripe is the search by programming format (news..sports) is often incorrect or incomplete. Nevertheless way worthy of five stars, well done!

This looks great!! Just ditched the TV Guide app, which wasn't great to begin with, but after the last update was just horrible. So far this one looks awesome. Just enter your zipcode, select your broadcast area and choose the channels you want to see. Easy peasy!

Just installed and so far it is great! Helps with channels with no descriptions of the programs. Like that there is a Reminder to watch your favorite program. Thanks! I removed 1 star due to the following. When checking on current programs, it lists the past 5 or more past programs. So to see the current program you have to scroll down to current time. A bit of an annoyance! Change this and I will change to 5 stars. Thanks! Please make an IOS version for my iPad!

A high quality app. My only gripe is that there's no option to pay to remove ads. I use it to obtain OTA television listings. You need an internet connection to use this app. The app minimizes data usage by having you specify just those channels you're interested in.
