ZERO STARS! Ads work great! The developer got that part down. The actual app says it's automatically set up for my TV after holding the red button for 15 seconds but it does nothing. Tried all three different methods: IR Port, IR Blast, and WiFi, but it simply does not work. The app doesn't even identify the right model Insignia TV.
Absolute garbage. It's nothing but adware. It pretends to have a connection, then gives you an ad. Then another ad. And another. After that you're able to press two buttons.. then more ads pop up. Doesn't work, terrible app. Move on to the next.
The app quite simply doesn't work. I followed the steps to the letter and despite being informed by the app that the program was ready to function as a remote, nothing happened. There was no response to the controls. What DID happen was a barrage of rating requests and ads for NordVPN. Based on my experience, I'd say this is a scam, possibly to access users phone data. I'd advise others to skip this one. Zero stars ( I had to give it a minimum to post the review, but my rating is really zero).
Doesn't work. Makes you pair the device every time you open the app and still never works. The app doesn't even allow you to close it. You have use the buttons on your phone to close the app. Waste of time, energy, and storage. I'm deleting this app. I do not recommend you bother with this app.
It doesn't work for my Insignia TV and most of the button presses trigger an ad to show up (on the phone - I'm pretty sure it doesn't talk to the TV at all). It also asks for you to vote it 5 stars, despite it not actually working.
10/10 best way to waste time! Not only does it not connect to a TV but it also show you ads after 3 unresponsive clicks of the remote. You got me good insignia. This was a solid raz, because there is no way this app is serious.
It said program uploaded and turned the screen into a remote lay out but it would not even turn the volume up or down. I tried to set it up six times all with the same result.
Hit the button repeatedly like an idiot, have to hold it down. Also didn't work with my tv. I just need to get my wifi connected to the TV so I can use a Roku app because I lost the remote in a move and this didn't help my problem
Lost the remote to my tv. I Then started using the Firetv app remote which constantly loses connection. so I downloaded this & it says successfully paired but it didn't work at all. Im going on amazon to purchase another remote.
Just so the devs know, asking the user to press a button constantly isn't the same thing as holding down a button. I sat there like a jackass for 5 minutes mashing the button before I realized what "press the button constantly" was supposed to mean. Also, the app doesn't work on my TV.
This app doesn't work. Claims that the programming for my TV is found then there's a pop up advertisement for another app and then this app ask for a 5 star rating. Fine rated it five stars and went back to the app and had to start over again. It may work for some people but I don't think it should even be in the play store.

The app had no function. The buttons that look like my remote don't work. I set it up exactly like I was instructed to, but when I press the buttons my TV doesn't do anything.
It seemed like it was going to be easier than the setting up the universal remote without the code. See the instructions were very simple however it did not work on my Insignia TV. When I pointed my phone at the TV to even get it turned on it would not work. So I turned it on manually and tried to adjust channels and volume that didn't work either so I read started the whole process and again it did not work.
Horrible app. It tells you to press the button that apears to conect TV to remote app. I pressed for hundreds of times for almost 10 minutes. Nothing happend.
Worked with syncing it to the TV but that's the only thing that worked. Power button, close app button, menu, etc... NOTHING WORKED!!!
ads kept popping up and the remote doesnt even work at all. tried to click the remote and every time I touched my screen an ad poppped up. dont waste your time with this one.
They couldn't even get the set up instructions right... Repeatedly pressing button is not the same as HOLDING the button. No response from my tv. Ad after every button pressed. Fail.
FYI, this app is only if you have a Smart TV, not if you lost the physical remote to a regular TV 😡 It connects over WiFi, which the TV in question must be connected to as well..
Confusing to the MAX! lots of ads, kinda slightly deceptive... Don't know what is the app and what is an ad. Trying to figure it out, might not be a lost cause...
Its irritating to be hit up for a 5 star review just because it downloaded without any problems. . How could anyone possibly give a truthful review when you haven't given them a chance to do anything more than download it and open it? If you were more confident in a user being pleased then you would allow them an opportunity to actually use the app. first. I'm just saying P.S. it doesn't work on my tv either.
Horrible app, it's suppose to work like a remote. Only problem is our phones are not remotes and don't have the light required to communicate with the tv.
Point phone on TV. Hit button constantly. Are the only instructions. After hitting button over 400 times and seeing 4 30 second ads. I'm going to say no good
I have downloaded at least five remote apps for insignia so far, including this one, and none of them work!!! This tv came with my camper and I will be getting rid of it. This is the worst brand of tv I have ever seen!!!
Just about to try it. But it sure downloaded and ran in 30 or less seconds No problem. I lost my remote. Now we need an app. To find lost remotes. Ty
It said it was synced to my TV. I pressed all the buttons individually and nothing happened. It kept requested 5 stars and and adds popped up.
Didnt work and instructions for synchronizing were incorrect. It says to "press red button constantly" but what they mean is to HOLD button, not to keep pressing it
App doesn't work. Got it to load by holding the button rather than pressing it constantly for several minutes with no results. Once the remote loaded it had no effect on the TV. My phone was connected to the same wifi but no affect. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Don't waste your time. Just order a new remote from Amazon
