TV Remote for Sony TV (WiFi & IR remote control)
You can choose between network (WiFi / WiFi Direct / LAN) IP control or infrared (IR) control.

Works on phones and tablets with built-in IR blaster (infrared port) such as Samsung Galaxy S series until S6, HTC ONE, LG G3/G4/G5, Xiaomi Mi / Redmi / Note, Huawei Mate / Honor and many more.
No setup required. No WiFi required. It's ready to use (no need for pairing with the TV).
- Tested on Samsung Galaxy series (S4 / S5 / S6 and Note phones and tablets excluding Galaxy S7 & S8 which do not have IR hardware) running on original Android 4.4+ firmware (not CM/LineageOS).
- Also works on some older Samsung devices running on Android 4.1 - 4.2.2
- Please note that you must point your phone’s IR blaster directly at the TV. Usual working range is 4-10ft (1-3 meters, max ~5 meters).
- With some phones in power saving mode or with almost empty battery the IR blaster might not work or range is less then 5ft (2 meters).
★ Network IP control (WiFi / WiFi Direct / LAN).
- Make sure the Sony TV that you want to use is turned [On].
- Make sure your mobile device and TV are connected to the same local/home network.
- When registering/pairing a Bravia TV, make sure that "Remote Device" / "Renderer" in the settings of TV is set to [On].
- If you have refused the registering/pairing confirmation message on your TV, then you can change your selection later in TV's settings (usually it's located at HOME / Settings -> Network -> Home Network Setup -> Remote Device -> Remote Device List).
- If the TV was not found, then it is also possible to enter the TV's IP address manually. To find out you TV IP address go to TV [ Settings ] / [ Network ].

The purpose is not to replace the original TV remote, but this app is handy in emergency situations (original remote is lost, empty batteries etc).

Does what I need it to. Can't find my TV remote, so this means I can still more or less conveniently use my TV still while I look for it without having to get up and use the buttons on the back of the TV. I'm glad to have the option.
Can use using my android tv sony 4K. Using wireless connections that setup earlier in tv settings. When first time setup this remote, there are code that need to put. That code can get from your tv that prompt once you setup this apps. However, it may sometime, delay when push button through this apps. Good apps .
This remote really works on my Sony Bravia TV 55 inch. This is the only Sony remote app that seems to have all functionality of the original remote. In other words, it rocks!! Thanks for doing this.
It works. Not an exact reproduction of the physical remote. Basic features are intuitive.
Easy to register/"pair" and all controls work. GUI looks good. What else do you need in a remote.
Good app, works well and as intended. However constantly plagued with pop-up advertising.
Easy to connect to my Sony Bravua TV. Same buttons so easy to use. Real life saver when my remote no longer works.
This app works fantastic with my KD-65X8500G you did a great job with it. If you could make it full screen it would be great it's bit bit narrow on my S21U. I'd be happy to purchase this app
Works pretty well. The buttons are not true to the real remote so they take a bit of figuring out

Fulfills the function perfectly, sometimes shows a loading prompt but otherwise, it works great. Doesn't disconnect from the TV it's linked up up.
Takes too long to see the buttons, I see Loading. Sometimes I need to reconnect to my TV when I start this app before everything will work, but nothing has changed for me.
It's a bit wonky over wifi but when you press buttons on your phone from someplace in the room it will be like you touched a button on the TV itself but your standing somewhere else.
It's good but it gets annoying having to connect to my TV all the time when wanting to use the remote try fixing the issue so it stays connected

Needs an ad free option. Works perfectly but would rather pay then deal with the ads.
Works well most of the time, occassionally loses sync with TV requiring a reinstall.
Small, & easily set up, and it's very like the actual physical remote. BUT the ads are VERY annoyingly intrusive - ads pop up, covering the whole screen; ad-free, is NOT an option. When you wish to use the app, you have to wait through an entire ad before the app is usable again, way past the point you wanted to pause, or whatever. The app is good enough that I would pay for ad-free. However, as it's not an available option, I shall have to find another app.
The good: if you set a static IP for your TV, it will work every time without fail. The bad: it takes an unreasonable amount of time to load a full screen ad every single time you open the app. Need to turn the volume down quickly? Nah, you need 6-10 seconds for the app to load, close it, then do your thing. I would gladly pay too much to get rid of ads in this app
Works great sometimes. There are times this app works fantastic and other times that it randomly disconnects from my TV. It an easy fix but there are times I need it to work right away and rarely does the quick fix not work but it happens sometimes. Also this app has a BUNCH of ads none of which are quick to go away, so at times when I need to pause the TV or lower the volume it takes a while and causes some stress in those situations. Great app just needs some work and an ad free version.
With other apps I've had, the TV had to be on to actually use it. Overall it's a decent app
Superb app , I searched for remote every where in playstore but none of the apps could beat this app , it is so simple to use not like other apps
The good thing is it works. The annoying thing is that any time you open the app, you're forced to watch an ad. I often get 5 second ads that I have to exit out of before I can use the remote. I wouldn't care much if they would at least give me the option of paying a few bucks to disable ads, but nope. You have to suffer through them to do something as simple as turning off your TV. Ludicrous. Can't wait to get a new replacement remote and never use this app again.

The remote works as advertised and is easy to connect. However, if you use this app as a television remote on a touchscreen device, services of HULU(or, I assume, any app with the same action requirement) you will realize that there is no way to access the details or select an episode in the "Keep Watching" list because the screen will not register a button held down. This is a fairly big problem for me and makes menu navigation unnecessarily tedious.
This is an excellent app. It works extremely well, and is so much lighter than the official bloated Sony app! Thank you! However, I did discover one odd behavior using the app with my Sony XBR-65X800G. When the TV is off (standby), pressing the power button on the app connected to the TV via WiFi won't turn on the TV. Remote Start IS enabled in the TV's network settings. Possibly even odder is that pressing the RETURN button on the app connected via WiFi WILL turn on the TV. So, there's a work-around to the problem, but hopefully the issue can be fixed in a future update. Anyway, again, great app, and THANK YOU!
Very good ap. Works perfectly with my Sony TV. 5*. I chose it to connect to my network, and it works seamlessly. It also has an infrared option if the tv isn't connected to the network. Which I would imagine would work perfectly if I had a phone with infrared. Ads are minimal and don't interrupt when functioning the remote, which is very rare to find in aps now. Very pleased.
Terribly designef ads. App is excellent but I'd prefer to pay 2 or 3 bucks for ad free. Although there aren't tons of ads they are intrusive as they appear when you need to use the remote, taking over the screen. I can't believe the ads work for the sponsor because I get so intent on finding the X to close the screen I don't know what they are advertising.
Ads are too frequent and annoying. No option to purchase that I can see. Really inconvenient when you pickup the phone to make a quick volume adjustment and have to sit through an ad first.
