TVCatchup - Watch Free Live TV

App fails to load programs, just sits there showing "Loading" against all Channels shown. After 30 minutes still shows "Loading" against Channels, only thing that works from opening are the In App Ads. Really annoying & disappointing. Is there "a fix", or, something specific that needs changing in "Settings"?? Please advise, or I shall have no choice but to uninstall if it refuses to work as advertised.

Most recent update is resulting in programme icons appearing but not the broadcasted programme name as a result will not connect. Deleted app and reinstalled with same result. On previous version programme would freeze and upon going back to reselect this was answered with one or two ads for games. I reckon these ads are set to fire up periodically whether it is mid programme or not and it is this that is causing the programme to freeze in the first place. If so, not a good idea.

was 5 stars when working. stopped working now. cant find away of contacting the app maker for help so now giving it 1 star due to no longer working. i have used this for a number of years and it was brilliant. a few weeks ago it stopped displaying the programme name next to the channel but would still work. now it doesnt play at all. gutted that it no longer works because it was the best app around for warching tv.

I have used this for some time. Recently it says, geo locked, so I use a VPN. It works very well on my Samsung J7. I have to wait for clients from time to time so I watch things like Wheeler Dealers to pass the time whilst I wait. I am not in the U.K. at the moment and it runs smooth on LTE+ via a VPN. I also have it on my android box so I can watch it on my smart television. I don't usually write reviews, but after reading all the strange negative reviews I thought I had to as I know others especially those out of the U.K. would love to have free access to U.K. television.

i have been using this app for a few years now there was absalutely no problems now when i try to watch a channel i cannot because the app seems to be in constant loading mode....i heard there has been some changes to the app...wrong move if this is the result.....a good app ruined by over enthusiasm. as the old saying go.....IF ITS NOT BROKEN DONT TRY TO FIX IT....

Been using their web tv services for years and only decided to try their mobile app service, here's the reason why this app and many like it will eventually stop providing a service in the UK. BBC and all the independent TV providers are launching their own all-in-one subscription app soon, so expect other apps like this to go the way of the dodo.

Doesn't load properly. Every TV station I try to open the TV Catchup logo covers the screen. I have tried to be patient and gave plenty of time to clear but nothing happens. The settings menu is not much helpful either.

I downloaded this assuming that it's title was true. It isn't. It's not a catchup service at all, it's just an app for watching a very limited choice of live channels. Seems completely pointless to me. It's now gone from my device.

Buggy, glitch, laggy, keeps freezing and shutting me out of what I'm watching won't be recommending it and so glad I didn't pay for it. Can only watch about 5 minutes at a a time before having to reboot it. Please sort it out as this has the potential to be a really good app

used to work fine, but now completely stuck on loading channels. tried uninstalling and re-installing thinking it would solve the probem, but nothing! the same on my phone as well. pls fix it and update it and I'll give it more stars. cheers

Very, very poor app at the moment. When you access it, all the channels are stuck on loading. Support - I have emailed you with screen shots. Please sort it soon.

16/09/20 APP DOESN'T WORK. I hunted this app out from my library after not using it for a few years but I used to love it. It's so disappointing that it doesn't work anymore. It was a great app. Like having a uk freeview box built into the phone.

A once great service has now stopped working. I've used this for years and on the odd occasion when channels weren't working I'd send them a tweet and they would reply about engineers would look into it and fix the issue. I've never had the EPG not working, all channels unavailable and no replys to tweets so I think they've gone. Handy while it lasted.

I downloaded this app a few times now and it's just ridiculous. It's just not doing anything at all it just keeps saying loading on every single thing. I've even tried uninstalling an installing again but it's not that either. Get it sorted please because I was really looking forward to this app.

Real shame this app doesn't work anymore. Used to be really good, but unfortunately no channels load anymore. If it got updated and everything worked as it did, I wouldn't hesitate to download again though.

Used to be 5 stars but it seems to no longer be work or be supported because it says 'loading' next to every channel and doesn't do anything when clicked on. Will be uninstalling if it's not fixed soon.

Was a great app, but as other people have stated it has become deprecated since channels have launched their own apps. It shouldn't really be on the play store any more, hence the one star, such a shame as it was worth all five stars and was excellent when it did work.

Not bad. I don't get all the negative reviews, the streams run smoothly and I haven't noticed any buffering yet. The only issues are that you only get standard definition and there is no TV guide. Other than that, it's great.

Doesn't work on my Samsung galaxy s10. All the channels on the menu show a random time and the word 'loading'. Trued reopening the app several times and still the same. Deleting the app.

Massive waste of time, uninstalled and re-installed 4 times and still doesn't play anything, doesn't load any show times but somehow plays adds perfectly! I was trying to rate the app 0/5 stars but it won't let me post this review unless I give it a star.

Stopped working around 3/28/19, just get every channel loading. Deleted and reinstalled app, made no difference. Obviously no one cares about their own app. should have been fixed by now. Deleting app, waste of space.

all channels stuck on loading, doesn't stream. since purchasing my s10+ this app does not function, (last worked fine last week on my s8+). app needs an updates to work on s10+, tried uninstalling and reinstalling but does not resolve

Why don't the developers just take it off the Play store? It used to be very useful back in about 2010, but it's clear that they've lost interest in ensuring that it connects to any data. It's like an appliance that's had its power cord ripped out! Pile of shite‼️☺️😇

Read a review where someone uninstalled after 2 minutes. What took so long? No casting, no list of earlier programs (how is it catch-up?), Absolutely useless. 30 seconds to decide to move this rubbish.

Don't bother with this app if you're outside of the UK. Geo-locking means you can't use it (isn't this prohibited by EU law now?) and having to access the channels via browser defeats the whole purpose of having the app. Abysmal. Don't offer it on other store regions when you know that it's not fit for purpose.

Terrible App. When you attempt to launch a channel the 'TV Player' logo comes up and nothing happens the app freezes. If you've bothered to install this I'd recommend uninstalling.

Used to be good but now is very poor. Guide screen says loading all the time, channels don't open up. Less channels available to watch. Very very poor app
