TVirl. IPTV for Android TV (Unreleased)

This is an app that I am happy exists and I fully support the developer. I'm glad EPG auto-updates were added. Unfortunately, when it's updating in the background it makes my 2015 Shield almost unusable. Netflix will not accept any input and crashes after a 10 second time out. The whole system is extremely laggy and unstable during background updates. I do have a rather large list, but auto-updates needs some refinement. I plan to get a new Shield soon but my first gen has been more than powerful enough to handle everything thrown at it... except for this EPG update. Feature Request: I think it would be great to allow choosing the time of day to update in the background. If it updates at 2:00 AM and hogs all my resources then, that's fine. 7:00 PM, for example, is not a good time though. It just started to update and crashed Netflix until I force quite the app. Please take a look at this when possible Michael. It would make the app much more usable to me. Keep up the good work and let me know if I can help with logs or anything.

This app is great, it really works well with Live Channels. It's great for the Shield TV. I totally think this app is worth the money. Get it and your setup will really be seamless. I want to give it a 5 star rating but 1 issue. Why can't this app be ran from a SD card? It won't allow me to switch the storage to an external drive. TVIRL uses a lot of storage on my setup, like over 8 gigs!! Which maxes me out on the Shield HD. Can we not allow this to be run from an external drive? On a Shield its formatted as system storage, and you need a high speed stick for a Shield anyway. I'm sure it would run. Anyone face this issue as well?

This app is a life saver, so easy to use and well built. I love that it unlocks Android's default Live Channels app and doesn't try to provide a poor proprietary UI like many other IPTV apps. It's parent approved! Works perfectly with my IPTV service, playlist downloads are super fast on my Nvidia Shield and changing settings is simple. The only thing I would like to see is a bit more documentation of it's features, especially of the expert settings and what they do/are used for? The developer is extremely active on Twitter which I appreciate and the pace of development is quick. The only issues i've experienced are actually with the Live Channels app itself, so well done Michael! I'm looking forward to auto playlist updates, as well as DVR functionality in the future which would make this a 6 star app.

A lovely app and does exactly what is says. I have just one request before I can buy a subscription though... When importing a new playlist, can you please have an option to hide all the channel groups so that we can enable only the ones that we want to see? That way, people like me with playlists that contain way too many groups, can easily choose only the groups that we want to show. Individually clicking on "Do not show group" on every single group is very very frustrating.

UPDATE: Quick response from programmer after reviewing the application logs. All that was missing was the "Live Channels" app. After installing everything worked as designed. Thank you, Michael!! Setup Error When trying to setup app on Mi Box S, i get an error message stating "Failed to start TV input setup". No website or documentation to resolve issue.

Great App! Perfect for what I was looking for. I liked it so much, I became a monthly supporter $$$. Until the EPG update is added I have a work-around using a companion app. Keep up the great work and I look forward to any updates. I will continue to be a loyal supporter.

Love the app, but I wish it would show my groups. It seems to pick up only 1 group and only shows a handful of channels in it. Other than that great app that makes IPTV very seamless.

I love this app, my only grip is the no auto update feature! This would be a 10 star app other wise! I would be willing to pay to have that feature added, I am willing to bet I am not the only one!

I think this application is quite good, but licence scheme is quite expensive for 3rd country. If can provide different price for other country would be good

5* for the idea and integration, only I have no idea is there a way to group channels or set favorites, scrolling through the whole channel list is pain in the a**

Great but wish it supported time shift "DVR" within hte live channels app. Is this something that is being worked on?

This app is great. I purchased a GoogleTV and now I can watch my liveTV channels along with my streaming services.

Just works, pulls down channels and epg for my region (Brisbane, Australia), so that Live Channels can use them on my Nvidia Shield.

Amazing app. Very clean and intuitive.

Really good so far... just need to add auto-update now.

What's with the annoying daily update? Do some thorough tests before releasing any update.

Awesome app! You get the best integration into the Android TV system. 4 stars only because we *really* *really *need automatic EPG files updates. Having to manually refresh the channels every 1-2 days is quite inconvenient.

Love it. only 2 things are missing . An EPG auto update and an option to update more than one playlist from different sources. But still it's A 5 star apk.

Very goog app, very usefull and easy to use! I give you only 3 stars because it seems to not support "rtsp" streams and all my streams use this protocol... I'll edit my review if this protocol is implemented in the future... I hope it!

Works well, but doesn't automatically update EPG data... Uninstalled for now :(
